Tis the season to buy car batteries. Turns out that Walmart beat the other places by a good amount & that got me in the door. From there, we went over to the food section and immediately regretted that. There were carts lined up for staff to shop for pick ups- yikes. It was to the point that you couldn't get to anything. Every time I come in, I remember why we don't shop here regularly. The prices were good on most items, so, that helps with tolerance. read more

sadly negative stars are not an option! i prepaid for tires, and installation. I showed up early, they kept my car for an hour, only to call and say they can't install my tires because of a bad lug nut. it's OK, we refunded your money for the install and put the new tires in your trunk! we just don't have the tools to remove that lugnut. what the hell do I know, after all, this is the best and the brightest working at Walmart and I'm just a dumb ASE certified mechanic. A dumb mechanic that removed the supposed bad lug in their parking lot with a standard tire iron! I turned it left, maybe THAT was the difference??? NO, they didn't even TRY! now , sorry we can't mount them today, we're booked, would you like to make another appointment? Best of luck at Walmart Minot ND. Came here to buy groceries later in the evening and a few other items. The team here never smiles and no one seems to like their job. The inside odd disorganized a lot. Lots of empty spaces on the shelves. Asked about several items and if they were in the back, the most common response, I do not know and it is not my job, our truck will be here in a few days. The team is clueless. They all have zeal Mart phones, all they have to do is check on them but I guess that is too much to ask. I do not enjoy my visits here. I used to go get my car maintenance done regularly but now the new manager over automotive is trash. Ricardo is the supervisor. hardly speaks any English, smells like broken perfume.just rude and arrogant. jerry is also pretty bad too. he doesn't care about customers. instead of following policy much rather waist your time reading policy stating this is only allowed if the moon and stars are out. both need to be fired. I was passing through town with an uncomfortable pair of eyeglasses. Erin from the vision center took initiative to ask if I needed help, very kindly offered to adjust my nosepads, did so for free as opposed to charging me anything or upselling me on another product, and advised me what to do in case the problem reoccured. I had taken my sister shopping and she is in need of a motorized cart. So we shopped, and as we were leaving the store, the cart stopped, right in the middle of the door, in all the traffic. We could not get it started again. So I went back into the store and looked for someone to help us. I found a gentleman who proceeded to lecture me that the carts were not to be taken from the store. I asked him how the guest was suppose to get to their car? He just shrugged. I then asked him if he knew if he could help me with the cart and he said he didn't know anything. We could use a wheelchair. I told him I couldn't use a wheelchair and my cart. But, it would be great if someone knew what was happening with the cart as it said it was full. He just said, nope, No Idea what is going on here. And he walked away. So, we left the cart in the middle of the traffic and I carefully walked my sister out, hoping that she did not fall, and hoping that no one else fell over the cart! read more

Yes, I am giving this Walmart five stars ! can you believe it? That's because it is a very good one and has everything you need and at great prices. But, you already knew that. Everyone in town comes here, and weekends are super busy but manageable. When you are several hours away from anything, then this is the place to come to for what you need. That's just the way it is up here on the prairie. But, you already knew that ! I think that the staff do a great job and I have not ever seen anything to change my opinion. No place is perfect but considering how hard retail work can be, I would say they do ok. read more

AWFUL!!!! Drove with my daughter 3 hours from my home here and they REFUSED to honor a price a phone we wanted rang up/scanned at. They claimed there were 2 systems and it was a much higher price in the alternate system so that was this price. This wasn't just an electronics employee but the store manager Monica. Two weeks prior we were visiting Minot and stopped in. I dropped my wife off near the front door and went to go find parking. With my window CLOSED, I heard a man at the door screaming at my wife that "MASKS ARE REQUIRED!" I heard this through the van's glass! I really wanted to get out and confront this aggressive male employee being so over the top rude to a woman. I've lived in 15 States coast to coast and shopped at hundreds of Walmarts spending tens of thousands of dollars annually. Most Walmarts are staffed by professional and kind people. Without a doubt the worst Walmart I've ever shopped. No matter what time I shop the shelves are never fully stocked. If you ask the staff for assistance, they act as if you are interfering with their conversation with other staff. Don't get me started on the long lines. Most locals know what I'm talking about. If I do ever go there, it's just to grab something quick and get out. I needed a tire patched one day. The guy said it would be about an hour and a half, three hours later i get my truck back. I would rather take 3 or 4 stops around town rather than the one stop shopping of this particular Walmart. Yelp makes you give a star so they got one they didn't deserve. read more

When I go to Walmart in Minot, North Dakota, they always run out of the one thing I need and don't have it in stock for a while. It has always been a mess whenever I go in there and stuff from the aisles are always knocked off. When I try to get a makeup product it has always been tested from other people that were there before me. You never know who's been on all the furniture that has been close to the floor and how many of people had gone on it before you. You can also find many open packages of things all around like the toys. If there is a mess a worker will walk right pass it and won't do anything about it. You have employees working all the time but the people at the register are not the friendliest and don't interact with you. Going to checkout, there is always a long line and you have to wait for a long time before one is opened. Through the self-checkout the scanner doesn't work and there is never a worker there to help us when we need it. Going through the parking lot you can never find a spot anywhere near the door and must walk a long time before you get inside. I think that you could improve by getting better at cleaning up around and to get more help at the cash registers. read more
