On 8/21/2026 I purchased a 2" sewer check valve for $27 + tax with my 11% rebate coupon and the remaining $5 in cash, , When I tried to return it on 8/22/2026 because I mistakenly needed the 1-1/2". I could not find the receipt as it was the only item on the very small piece of paper that I most certainly would have never needed as 2" is what I absolutely thought I needed to do the job. The customer service associate asked for my driver's license and I handed it to him and then he proceeded to type out a in-store coupon I would be using for the smaller one I needed. As he handed it to me he stated "Twenty Dollars and some cents", I said what? It cost me almost Twenty-Nine dollars. He said that's all I get without a receipt. I then went to the little machines they have to print a receipt and the associate would not even tell me how to turn it on, no kidding, then and only then did I show dissatisfaction as I said What a Dick! Wow. I'm so mad at myself to let people like this get to me. Anyway I left with the original 2" check valve because I refused to sell it back to them nearly $10 less for a unused item purchased the day before. Therefore also being seventy (70) years young, these people at Menard's are the absolute bottom at customer service help and store policies. What a shame down the drain. read more

Terrible help ( like zero help) when picking up drain tile in the back outside . The person we asked where to load it (he pointed in the general direction). As we were struggling to get it off the shelves; my wife stepped on some uneven concrete and wiped out! No assistance from people inside etc .., even at age of 80+ ! read more

I can spend hours in this store. I know, because I do it every time I go. I don't know that I save big money st Menards, as their slogan states, my receipts indicate that I spend big money. I do get regular 11% rebates, especially since covid hit. I actually buy quite a few food items here, as well as appliances and hardware. The pricing is usually pretty good & all but 1 staff have been both helpful & friendly. I've learned to avoid her checkout lane so I can stay happy... at least until I get my credit card statement read more

From outdoor equipment to groceries, this place is more than a hardware store. Prices are comparable to Home Depot. Depending on what you're there for, it's either a little cheaper or about the same as other large hardware/outdoor equipment stores. If nothing more, it's a large place where you can explore and expend some steps during the protracted winters in Minot. read more

I like this place better than most retail places in town. You know like wallet World and others. Always smiling faces and well stocked. The eggs and milk are a great price also. I usually found what I need here without all the headaches. They have a lot of stuff here and a great team stocking. I will shop here again. read more

Gotta say, Leon was not very pleasant. I left an item at the register when packing my bag and returned an hour later to pick it back up. Leon checks the camera and says I put it(the brush specifically) in the garbage bin I bought. I assured him I did not and that it was the only item I was missing. Not appreciating the tone in which he says he saw me handle the brush on camera, I asked if he checked the register I was at; he hadn't. I walked down and asked Lexy, the sweet cashier I had earlier and she told Leon and myself that it indeed was left. We are fortunate to have the selection, the prices and this particular business in our community. Reminiscent of the past, I kind of wished they were a locally based business like the lumberyards of past (of which I worked); however, times change upon consumer demands -- we want it all, right now, and at the lowest price (Damn It)! Menards's in Minot has done a great job adapting to our crazy market. General growth to boom to bust Now we steady to normalized sales. Menards has adapted - not perfectly, but pretty damn good. I have not shopped this store since last July due to their asinine Covid policies. My mom decided to shop there (maskless) last week and was able to without anyone harassing her. She went again today because she is doing a kitchen remodel and went through the whole store without any trouble. As she is checking out, her items completely rang up, the cashier stopped, rang her bell for the manager to come over. They harassed my mother over not wearing a mask and reminded her she wouldn't be able to shop there again without one. Menards is more about humiliation tactics than preventing Covid. I will be filing a complaint with manager and will continue to shop Home Depot and our local hardware store. read more

Went this morning to pick up a special order I placed. Drove around back to pick up area. Watched a employee named Joey, drop my three boxes on to the forks of a forklift. Kid was very rude and smug after I said he should be more careful when loading customer orders and I will be inspecting each box. And sure enough the bottom box was damaged. Metal welding was broke apart. Spoke to his supervisor, James, he did not do anything. He had to tell Joey to shut up when I was trying to explain what happened and Joey kept talking over me. I stopped at front desk after leaving pick up area and spoke with Tim, store manager and he was very nice and listened. Said he will take care of it. I have never been treated so poorly. I know everyone in Minot is hiring so hard to find good help. I hope Joey is taught how to treat customers. Ask for someone else to help you if picking up an order at Menards and Joey is working. So happy to have Menards in Minot. They offer a wide variety of merchandise which is often on sale at a good price. They are open 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM most days . How many other stores open at 6:30 AM? The employees have always been courteous and helpful whenever I have been shopping there. It is a large store so seeking out an employee for help is sometimes a challenge, however, they have always been willing to go the extra mile for me when asked. read more

Not sure why you even have a phone. Nothing worse than sitting on hold watching the phone bill go up while the people supposed to be answering the phone are too lazy or stupid to pick the damn thing up. After spending almost 10,000 on materials for a remodel and paying extra for delivery, I can't even get an answer on the phone to find out why I haven't been contacted to tell me what time they will be here. I have been in Menards stores from Nebraska to Ill. to ND and the Minot store is absolutely the worst managed store of all of them. read more

You can find the things your looking for, only if you know where to find them and what your looking for. Customer service is virtually none existent/ rude inside the store, the loading dock crew seems to be more informed about the entire store then the people who "specialize" in their area's. Been dealing with this for 3 years, your better bet is to go over to Home Depot where I've been able to get customer service and easy quick check out vs. Menards 20min wait. read more
