A fairly standard Walmart for the South. More or less split into two sections with groceries and one side and general merchandise on the other. We didn't have a hard time finding a few things we needed. I did browse almost the entire store just to see if there was anything I wanted to pick up. It was well organized, and we enjoyed browsing the aisles. The lines were quite busy at check out. Much more than I expected from walking through the store. While visiting the family down South for the Thanksgiving holiday, my mom and I stopped into the Walmart Supercenter since I needed some things for my stay. You see, a couple of years ago I felt it was a good idea to purchase a number of items that I could leave down south in one of the drawers that is in the room I use. It would make for less to pack on my visits and since it was a cooler time of year I needed some sweat pants, long pants and a pack of underwear and socks. I always love visiting Walmart because I am a geek and like to see what kinds of superhero or band shirts they have in the pile. In the past I've secured some good ones and this time I grabbed an ACDC shirt. I am sad that I never see KISS stuff and don't recall them having any of that since the "Sonic Boom" promotion of some years ago. Since we were there on the early side we were beating the crowd and after securing a few more items to leave with the folks we were off. Oh yeah I did also buy a super cool Godzilla figure made by the fine folks at NECA because I've been looking for that particular one and was glad to find him. I'm a geek plain and simple. If you are down in the area this Walmart most likely has everything you need for a nice price. When I visit again I will for sure be returning. read more

This is the busiest Walmart that I've ever visited. Being that it's in Myrtle Beach, everyone and their relatives shop here. It was a bit chaotic trying to get to the food with so many people crammed in here. But we were able to find everything we need. We actually purchased the last case of bottled water. We bought lunch meat, bread, mayo, hot dogs, canned soup, and other snacks for our vacation in Myrtle Beach. The check out lines were pretty long and we were buying nearly a week's worth of groceries. So we didn't help the cause much. But we made it through and I asked the cashier if it was always this busy. Her response was, "I hope not!", which led me to believe that she was a new employee. In any event, despite the chaos, you won't get price gouged at Walmart and they have the items you need. This is why I tolerate the chaos at Walmart. read more

What is wrong with a Walmart that argues with you at checkout over a price, then when you go to check it yourself they start taking down the display right in front of your very eyes ...and hagglig with you over the merchandise?? This walmart is so bad that although it is in the middle of a busy city, no one goes to it, but instead to the other one at the end of town. They also always get orders wrong, consistently, and put up fake displays which s actually false advertising, causing angry and frustrated customers. Is it just a front and really just there to hide an underground FEMA camp like you see on internet TV? so me and my wife went here to get an oil change and the worker told us that he could not unscrew the plug. he is obviously unknowledgeable and weak. this was an easy job that my great grandfather who served in world war 1 could do. we had to take time out of our busy schedule of eating at mcdonald's and taco bell to take the car somewhere else to get a real alpha male to fix it and do the job right. they also fired my wife from this walmart the week before which they should not have done obviously because she could have done the oil change!! if i could give 0 stars i would!!! read more

Just awful, I tried to return an electronic, and they only allow 15 days to return it if it's defective/or got wrong item. And not only that, but the woman they have at the returns desk is rude and took out the electronic out of the box and then proceeded to slam it on the desk BEFORE telling me that they wouldn't accept the return! I mean, what in the world! Now I have to take back home this item all roughed up when we never treat our belongings that way. They pay them more and yet their customer service is still awful. They became more "diverse" and that made the customer service even worse than it was before. All they have is entitled useless j3rks who don't care about the work they do. read more

Staying in North Myrtle beach but decided to come check out some of the outlets, while there we stopped in at Walmart. Not sure if theft is/has been a big issue here or what, but they have one way barriers up a the door (although no one checking receipts as you leave so that seems pointless). Felt trapped, or obligated to buy something with all the "security" they had. Way too crowded, which I get that it's in a popular area, but even employees didn't seem to care for personal space. They would walk in front of you and cut you off, and look at you like you were in their way. Will stick to the NMB Walmart for now.. read more

Return policy "can be changed daily' is what I was told by the Customer Service rep. I bought a pop up sunshade on Saturday and found out Sunday we could not use it in the beach so tried to return it Monday and the CS rep would not allow me to return it. I was told it is the manager's decision and she can change the return police daily if she wanted. I asked where it was posted and was told they did not have to post it. I recommendEd the policy be posted for the guests that are from out of town as was told it won't be posted and doesn't have to be posted since they are a "seasonal store". I did call the customer service hotline and after 27 minutes online with this gentleman, his solution was "go back when the manager isn't there and try to return it". I am ok with policie, but strongly feel they should be posted. This Walmart wants you to buy their products and not be aware that it cannot be returned. Do NOT recommend buying here unless you have no other choice. There is a Kroger just around the corner, and this store had everything we needed. read more

On May 26th, 2022, my mother and I went to Walmart to pick up two items. We were told on arrival they close in ten minutes, so we moved quick. We get in line for the register, during these ten minutes they announced four times they were closing. We check out, as we leave, Kim (short bob cut hair) holding a walkie talkie says "What?" through the walkie talkie, listens, and then says, "Well, tell them they need to get the fuck out we are closing!" Walmarts aren't designed to elicit four or five stars. They're an inexpensive store that sells the goods we want while paying workers as little as possible. It is, therefore, quite difficult to be fair in reviewing Walmarts. Supercenters are all alike. The layout may be slightly different, but the products are the same. The staff is the same. The experience of utter craziness is the same. That said, this store is okay. There is plenty of parking. The shelves are well stocked. And, I still get to see my requisite level of oddities while shopping for necessities. It's Walmart; enter with caution and be prepared for just about anything. read more

I'm not a huge Walmart fan but went here because we needed sheets for the condo we were renting for the week and I was going to go ahead and get groceries while I was there. I found great prices on chairs. It's probably because it is the end of the season but I was estatic because I had planned on spending more. The girl in the deli that waited on me was adorable. She said it was her first day (8/27/18) in the deli section and she was rocking it. She had a smile on her face and was eager to help me. The deli meat prices are cheaper than what I am used to at home. I was suprised. Their selections for grocery were great and I spent very little time checking out. Almost everyone I encountered spoke or asked me if I needed help. Highly suprised and give this place 5 stars!! read more

They literally treat you like a criminal, follow you around and look at you funny..WATCH you check out then question you on exactly what you bought, exactly what register you were at like they're trying to quiz you and catch you in a lie lol. I've been frequenting this Walmart for the past 8 years and there are only 3 words to describe it: it's a Walmart. It's got all the stuff you need, it's literally in walking distance from Kingston Resorts, and almost 100% of the time, I encounter no issues at this Walmart. I went to this Walmart with my mother to do just a bit of shopping trying to buy sometime before I had to be where I had to be. Well my mother has pink hair and piercing and tattoos and immediately they treated my mother like she was some theif. The cashier was slow as hell and then had the nerve to ask my mother was she sure that was all she had to buy like she stole something. Then the cashier took forever to ring me out for my shit cuz she was to busy talking to the floor manager. Then the floor manager evil eyed my mother and followed her as she was walking out the store like some criminal. I felt they disrespected my mother who is a navy veteran based on what she look like. Amazing car services! We were visiting Myrtle beach from D.C. And Our battery needed to be replaced and Joseph the tech guy was so helpful and nice!!! He was very efficient and replaced our battery and went the extra mile to make us feel at ease! Just wonderful customer service! we were back on our vacation so quick and not worrying about a dead car battery! Definitely recommend them!!! read more

I should have known better because this is the Walmart closest to the tourists (which I am). They seemed to be out of many things I wanted to get for my stay. The staples were all there, but their meat selection was sparse. I am not used to seeing the shelves so empty. I'm sure it is no fault of the people there. I've been going to this Walmart Super Center for the past 10 years now every year I'm at the beach in June. This year I visted twice and they didn't have things in stock that I needed and the sales associate said that location doesn't have a good selection of items. I had never had this problem in previous years. One night I was there and there was this overweight guy riding around on a rascal, looked to be about 21. I assumed he couldn't walk, so as he was exiting the building he was right in front of me and I was letting him take his time to get to the door. He all of a sudden stops and jumps off the rascal and runs out into the parking lot really fast in the opposite way from where we were parked. By the time we were finished loading our groceries, he was standing at the car in front of us (that's how fast he fat butt could run) Idk why he was running from car to car, but he was moving. I was so annoyed by that, that it's actually funny now that I think about it. Another night we went in, this rude stocker lady who works the night shift, I wish I knew her name, but can only describe her, she was about in her 50's or 60's, shoulder length or a little shorter blonde hair, a little thick, and wore glasses. I said "excuse me, ma'am", she never gave me eye contact and said "YES??" like I was bothering her and I just stood there and then she said "YES MA'AM??". I said never mind and walked off. I never found what I was looking for and was going to the manager who was working that night, but I didn't, but sure wish I did report her for being rude. So, Mrs. Vivian Pindell, (manager, I still have my receipt from that night) if you're reading this and know that worker that fits that description that stocks shelves late at night around 11 pm, she needs to go somewhere else if she can't be helpful to a customer. read more
