This Walmart location shuts down all Internet access. I routinely use the Walmart app inside of Walmart stores to locate items I'm looking for. Mounted on each shelf in front of every item is a price along with a QR code. Today, I had a feeling that the items in the shelf were not in the right place and since there was no SKU on the price marker l tried to scan the QR code. Of course without Internet access it didn't work. To me it seems like for Walmart the benefits of allowing Internet access for customer convenience outweigh the chance that customers will do comparison pricing with other stores. This is the worst Walmart I have ever had the displeasure of visiting by an order of magnitude. They won't even honor their own return policies for products they manufacture without calling the corporate escalations number. Rude employees who yell at you when asking about a product being in stock. Almost every cash register is turned off even during peak business hours and with long lines. I think Shaq has a better chance of hitting a free throw than receiving an error free delivery. Many of my favorite staples are also no longer being stocked here as well despite abundant availability in other locations. Over the years I have watched interesting and colorful come into this store. You were always guaranteed to leave with stories and was a good place to people watch. I stopped going prior to COVID for a number of reasons but the final straw was a man exposing himself and management who did nothing. There was an item I needed it was only available locally at Walmart. Took a family member and went. Left so angry I won't be back. I get there are staffing shortages but your priced are pennies cheaper than other stores. All that was opened was self checkout. Rang up item I came for and rang up higher than online and shelf tag indicated. Ok you would think that would not be a problem but you would be wrong as Customer service closes at 8. It was 8:20 pm when I checked out. I was told they could not adjust price or refund as I would have to come back to the belly of the beast if I wanted a refund or an adjustment. Yet there were a number of customer service staff there that Were still there. I was told the drawers are taken and nothing they can do. This is so wrong and a poor business practice. Guess I should be thankful everyone kept their pants on. Store to me was filthy and unkept. Walmart Supercenter - Horrible experience now I know why I stopped coming awhile ago - Grocery Near Me - New Hartford, New York

As Walmarts go, this one is fairly crazy, no matter what time of day you go! The parking lot is even more insane thanks to the directional arrows for each aisle being so faded that you can barely see them resulting in people driving the wrong way down a one way parking section... fun. Inside is fairly organized and has a large selection. Do not count on their website inventory as it can be drastically off from what is actually available in store. To be safe if you don't want to waste a trip order online for in store pickup. There is a substantial grocery store as well as garden center, and a pharmacy. If you are hoping to check out with an actual person, be warned, most of their checkout options are now self check out. Very few human manned registers are open at any given time. read more

I was at the New Harford store after a medical appointment on 12-11-23. There was a brass quintet playing Christmas carols near the entrance, not impeding customers in any way. They were professional and enjoyable. After my shopping, upon exiting the store I noticed the quintet was gone. I asked the man on the opposite side of the entrance (Salvation Army) where was the brass quintet ? He acted as though he was ashamed to tell me they were asked to leave. I thought that was cold, heartless and unbelievable and it left a very negative shopping experience. If this was the decision of the the manager, he should be disciplined. How could a representative of Walmart behave in that manner. It should certainly be addressed, others feel the same. read more

This Walmart is an example of the worst side of the company unfortunately. We have been coming here for two months now, and the shelves are consistently empty while the staff is just as consistently rude. The small Subway/Auntie As combo has decent food but only when they actually have food and only if you can get service. It's unfortunate that the Utica location is more of a drive but offers consistent product, lovely service , and a better overall experience (even with the busier store location). read more

Its amazing how much people can be so much New York that this reviewer left the store for life, I got 2 gift cards and it took 3 people just to get the said cards, which were for Thanksgiving at moms house. I literally do all my shopping here from groceries to clothing to electronics and I have even used the pharmacy and the vision center because I wear glasses. Only once has the chicken breast that I get been empty so I just bought another chicken breast brand. I have nothing else to complain about. read more

WALMART - 4765 Commercial Dr. New Hartford, Just got off the phone with customer service...Very friendly and helpful. "Yes, we sell that..." She then helped me set up a 'customer pick-up' for later today. I have shopped that store for about 5 years. No problems. Isle staff often helped me find products. Deli staff very nice. Handicapped carts available. Checkout has even helped me bring groceries out to my vehicle...how considerate is that?! read more

I LOATHE this Walmart. I usually bring my own hand basket for shopping, to reduce plastic waste. The basket is about 20 years old and 3 times I've been grilled about it to the point of being more than rude. I get asked over and over which isle i got it in so they can price check it, despite my insistence that it is mine and that I brought it with me. My word, nor the used state of the basket is enough, so they have to ask the surrounding clerks or a manager. Today, today is the end of shopping there. I bought 3 large bags of animal food, one weighing 22 pounds. Again, I get stopped and asked to see my receipt " because the items are not in bags. " Gee, they should make make it a rule that all items be bagged no matter if it's a pack of gum or a bicycle. They should call the police if someone refuses a bag! I always come to this Wal-Mart because it is in a plaza which is a convenient - I can go from store-to-store . Basically, it is set up like any Wally World pharmacy, groceries, and other things you can think of to spend your money on. In other words, it's a typical Wal-mart, nothing special. read more

Have to agree, the shelves in general are empty at all times of the day for at least 10 items I can name (not related to COVID panic buying either), whether you're the 1st person in the store or the last. They claimed this store was going to be closed for 5-6 hours overnight to restock and clean, but if you go there at 10 am, they're stocking shelves! And if you like a particular brand and flavor of coffee creamer (for example), they'll never stock it until X amount of "great value" creamer is depleted.-it seems. Same applies to Dog Food or Cat Litter. If you have pets, I wouldn't make the trip HERE. Tried online shopping, pulled up, the kid went in the store, and I never got one of the kids (5) who were loading groceries to even acknowledge me. I left after 25 minutes, never to shop online again. In this store, sometimes items are out of stock for an entire week, with a Distribution center of over 1 million square feet 10 minutes away. Manager needs more experience with "Safety Stock" rules. Also, when someone calls for grocery pickup, why are employees "shopping" with REFRIGERATOR SIZED CARTS? Give them shopping carts like everyone else-so other people can fit down an aisle. Another thing-this is common to ALL Walmarts: Someone lost their thinking cap before they put pharmacies in the stores. Pharmacy counters have long lines in drug stores, who'd think it be just as long anywhere else? The only place for the line to go is out into the aisle where customers are navigating the ever-interpolating aisle locations. Imagine a street with no stop signs or traffic lights, blocking off your street (on your way to work)! Cashiers? There's One for every 10 cash registers. At least you don't have a cashier scanning your groceries like before COVID, then have someone (who was looking at you and the cashier the whole time) ask to see your receipt. Why not put those people at a cash register? If I was going to shoplift something, it wouldn't be CAT LITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Store sucks. Shop at another place. Twice I have neen charged higher prices than the item was listed for in the store. When you go to customer service to fix it the line is long and slow. It is clear the employees do not want to be there. When I finally got assistance the first lady actually said oh well. She then made an excuse that new employee must have stocked it in the wring place. They then sent someone to look and when the error was found they again said oh well. read more

Service is less than desirable here. I nicely asked three different sales people for help opening a case to get an item. I was told by all of them they were too busy to call someone over, or to point me in the direction of someone who could help. I've been burned by this Walmart so many time on bad produce. I would never shop here other than just stopping by when I need something else (like shampoo or cat food). I have on multiple occasions gotten rpdice that has spiked within a matter of 2 days (I look before hand and make sure it's good before I buy it). Strawberries covered in mold...just now opened an avacado that tasted like a tore fire. I should have took warning that day when I bought these and EVERYTHING was rotten and I had to DIG for something nthat seemed edible. Walmart is a disgrace as a company. read more

The New Hartford Store Is busy, often crowded, and after 10:30 AM, associates have a tough time keeping up with the traffic. Most are nice, mean well, and do a fine job. Some, just don't get it, or are in the process of learning. No big deal. It's retail, and that's the way it's going to be. Considering the price point, on many commonly available products, the crowds, traffic, and minor inconveniences, are well worth accepting. The New Hartford Store is kept clean, well arranged, and the shopping/purchase process, moves along, even when crowded. You can't find everything at Walmart, but you can find most of what you're looking for. It's a pretty good store, and I've been using it since it opened. Never been given a reason not to. read more

Walmart new Hartford now offers a pickup option . Very convenient !! Let's just say I had a heck of a grocery order and they were patient and quick trying to cram everything I had in the vehicle. This store has the worst customer service. I called in 4 times to check on an order before traveling 45 minutes only to get a receptionist who spoke poor English and couldn't manage to transfer my calls correclty. I hate this story and the store manager should be fired along with this receptionist. read more

The employees were severely unprofessional and rude, especially at the photo center. They didn't know what they were doing and they had bad attitudes. Wouldn't recommend going here at all. read more
