This Walmart Supercenter in North Huntingdon offers a good variety of groceries, clothing, shoes, accessories, office supplies, cleaning supplies, health products, cosmetics, pet supplies, electronics, furniture, children's toys, and much more. This store also has a pharmacy, vision center, auto-care center, and wireless store. During my visit, I shopped in most of the store's departments. The shelves and racks were well stocked and organized, and the prices were fairly low. I found most but not all of my favorite products. I ended up purchasing only a bottle of shampoo, which had a good quality and an OK price. I used the self-checkout. Two machines were out of service for some reason. My husband tried to use his credit card by tapping his phone near the machine, but he had to instead insert the credit card. read more

NRG salesmen are extremely aggressive and will not take no as an answer. They will literally walk with you as you are actively TRYING TO GET AWAY. Not only do I have to deal w the other issues at this store but now the added bonus of anxiety from being prey to those men. Let go of my hand, I don't need you to tell me I'm pretty. Let me do my shopping. It's extremely frustrating trying to navigate through the aisles when the employees doing the curbside pickup are blocking everywhere. No exaggeration, I counted SEVEN of them in the produce section today. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to not only try and get around them with their GIANT carts as well as the regular shoppers? One literally parked their cart blocking my way out of the orange aisle. This hassle continued throughout the entire store. I'm not sure what can be done but it is disheartening to the people who are doing their own shopping. Not only have the curbside parking spots outnumber the handicap by an astonishingly high number but now they're getting run of the store. Oh and by the way, don't bother asking the shoppers wearing Walmart vests if they know where you can find something. They will politely tell you to find an actual employee to help. I felt as if I was in some sort of dystopian nightmare of a store. I was so very happy to get to my car. Checkout lady was very polite as were the greeters at the door. The gentleman, Carl, who works in the Auto part of the store did an amazing job helping us check the oil and add the needed quarts. It was a godsend that he was there to help us and reassure us that we got there in time to get the oil for the vehicle. Awesome customer service from him!! I highly recommend this Walmart! read more

Make a shopping here all the time they are always out of fresh produce, it seems that they cater only to those who shop online now this store was supposed to be a supercenter instead it's a small Walmart store. This is our go to Walmart. We always get groceries here. They have a wide selection of things that probably other Walmarts may not have. The place is a bit dirty though. But overall it's a great place to shop! read more

I witnessed a co-store manager consistently harassing a customer. First, it was about a small dog, then the same manager, rudely interrupted a conservation, then had the customer banned from all Walmart and customer hasn't even brought the dog in the store. I often see that fellow customer frequently at the North Huntingdon store. She is always polite, talks and smiles at everyone, and when she used to bring her emotional support animal with her, everyone love to see that little dog, even me. That customer has a disability, and I am wondering if that rude, co-manager has something against individuals with disabilities, since that customer no longer brings the dog into the store. It's definitely a hardship to ban a disabled individual and excessive actions as well. So sad, won't be shopping at Walmart anymore and encourage other not to, as well. read more

I subscribed to Walmart+ for the free grocery deliveries from this store. So far I have placed 8 orders for groceries to be delivered but they never are. When I call the store I'm told they have nothing to do with the deliveries - that a third party called Spark handles the deliveries. When I call the help number on the Walmart Web site I'm told to call the store. Its a never ending circle of nothing! When I try to cancel an order that was not delivered it tells me its too late to cancel...................... Right now Walmart has hundreds of dollars on credit card hold and I'll never get my orders. The web site states that holds will be released in 10 days - thats 10 days of my money they lock up knowing that I'll never get my orders? read more

I was having groceries put into my car by these two skinny men, I do not remember their names, and I overheard one of them calling the other a SLUR against gay people. I felt extremely uncomfortable and nervous for my own safety since I, myself, am gay. This is unbelievable behavior coming from your OWN employees and I hope in the future that this Walmart can actually discipline the employees who think saying slurs is socially acceptable. read more

The drive up order for groceries has been a miss lately. We often don't realize until we get home that we are missing a whole bag of groceries that we were still charged for. When we call, we explain our issues, they say we need to be transferred to another department to get our refund, and then we are left on hold so long the call ends. This has happened more than once. This morning after a rough night shift I got coffee to wake up.Instead of going to Rostraver Walmart I decided to go here since I was nearby.First of all I was driving a cart in store because I have to baby my aching back.Drove in around 520am and 10 employees saw me and didn't tell me it hadn't opened yet.One said hello,lol.I never have shopped here before this early because of the situation. Had cart half full and at 545am Karen the baker yelled at me.I didn't know and wasn't unloading anything as this was a done deal. Art department Karen said,Hey Lady!!! Can I say that this place doesn't feel much like a Walmart? I like the setup it has and the organization that it also has, it makes for a trip to hell be a little less irritating. I was able to make a really quick stop and be on my way. I love that more and more stores are placing the self checkout stations, this is a convenience that I wish every single establishment had. Ugh, I don't know about Walmart anymore. Not that I was a huge supporter of the chain. But it almost became invisible to me living with a ten Mile radius of ten of them. They are all the same. Same food, same prices, same labyrinth of a parking lot that would make the goblin king pleased. (Movie joke) At least they keep it clean and we'll stocked. My biggest complaint is that their customer service is awful. I've been in there many of times that I've been treated like I am bothering the employees cause I can't find the Sloppy Joe's mix. In February I wanted to buy a tablet/ computer for my husband and I asked the unenthusiastic women behind the counter if they are good tablet. She said "well the don't have that wrap around censor on them anymore so I guess they WHERE good" GOLD STAR FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I just sat on the floor and did my own online research. Two! TWO! layaway disasters. I got so upset that I just cancelled my layaway and went to Game Stop on Thanksgiving/Black Friday of 2018. I was talked so down too that I called corporate on them. Not that they seemed to care. In 2016 I had a cart full of layaway. Some big ticket items some under $9.99. I was told that nothing under $10 can be put on layaway . FINE , A INCONVENIENCE, BUT FINE. But she then asked me to put the items back on the shelf. That will be a hard pass for me. I just told her to cancel the transaction and I left the cart there. Those are the the few just bad experience I've had there. I think with so much competition in the two mile radius that they would step up their A Game. I went to get my dog a tick collar. As I was walking back to the pet section I saw a group of employees playing with merchandise as if the man had boobs. I then had to wait for an associate to come open a case for me. After waiting ten minutes someone finally came back made eye contact with me then immediately looked away to have a conversation with a coworker. After she was done she told me someone would come to help me. After another five minutes I got fed up and ordered it on Amazon as the leisurely associate finally showed up. If I have to wait 15 minutes for you to take my money you need management help. read more

It's funny how Wal-Mart gets such a bad rap, yet most people I know shop there. I would generally not write a review for Wal-Mart, but I feel the need to defend this one. I will start with the cons, because I don't feel there are many. The biggest con is the parking lot, which, like most Wal-Marts and, frankly, many other big-chain stores, is a disaster. Look across route 30 to Target and Giant Eagle and Kohl's...also a mess. And, of course, it is Wal-Mart we're talking about, so it gets crowded. Pros: The parking lot, although disorganized, rarely has carts scattered about like some other stores. Also, the inside is clean and the staff are friendly. This is indeed a smaller store, so there is a limited selection compared to others. Some previous reviews commented on the amount of thefts at this location and the mention of them in the blotter. The reason for this is simple - Wal-Mart catches a lot of shoplifters. So, if you think people aren't stealing from Target or Kohl's, you're crazy. I recently read an article in the newspaper that indicated that the Irwin police work closely with Wal-Mart's asset protection team. Wal-Marts in general also have cameras located inside and outside of the store and employees on foot inside the store. And employees follow up on thefts: testifying at the magistrate, writing reports, installing cameras. I know this first hand because I myself worked at Wal-Mart in asset protection (then called loss prevention) for two years while in college. In all fairness, my husband and I know several employees that work here, so we generally receive friendly service. However, we had a cashier check us out the other day that we did not know and she could not have been nicer. To begin with, we are in the process of moving and are trying not to spend money unnecessarily, due to the obvious expenses that come along with buying a new home. We stopped in the other day to pick up some items for the house, groceries, etc. I am a money hoarder, and had $25 in rolled change. While at the check out, Kim (the cashier) made small talk and asked about our dogs, upon noticing that we were buying dog food. When it came time to pay, I asked if I could use the rolled change first, then pay the rest with my debit card. (Yes, I am super cheap.) She replied that it wasn't a problem at all, but she wasn't sure if we needed to write our name and number on the rolls. She asked a CSM (a supervisor of the front end) and was told that she needs to take the money out and count it. I was embarrassed then, because there were two ladies in line behind us. Kim said not to worry, that she would count it. I helped her unwrap the change, while apologizing profusely to her and the ladies behind us. Thankfully, they were nice about it and said they were not in a hurry. The one lady laughed and said she uses rolled change all of the time...thank goodness I'm not alone. After we finished paying, we left and were outside when Kim came running up to us with a bag that we forgot to take with us. We thanked her and she started to go back inside. A moment later, she came running up again...one of the ladies in line behind us had come out of the store and saw the cashier, handing her yet another bag we left inside. Needless to say, I was mortified. However, my husband and I were extremely grateful. Frankly, most cashiers would have set aside the bags and waited for us to come back to retrieve then. Meanwhile, this woman ran outside into the parking lot to give us our things. I am not only grateful for her thoughtfulness, but wanted to say how there are still some awesome people out there. Update 6.6.16 - I called the corporate office today to let them know about my recent pleasant experience. The lady that I spoke to, Amy, said that it was so refreshing to get a call like mine. I told her that is exactly why I called, all customers ever do is complain and rarely do you hear about good experiences or good customer service. She stated that she will be calling the store manager to inform him of Kim's exceptional customer service and will also be putting in a request for her to be considered for an exemplary customer service award / reward. This Walmart is extremely beautiful because it is so brand new. It was recently just built and opened within the past year. My only complaint is that the parking lot is a mess, and it is a little smaller compared to some of the other Walmarts in the area. However, it is super convenient and super clean. read more

This is decent for a Walmart but only because it is so new. Already the signs of an older Walmart are starting to show. They are typically out of stock of most personal and home items, there is sometimes outdated products in the grocery section, and the employees are dwindling. The parking lot is a maze, but so is the other Walmart further up the road. They do not want you to leave. If word around town is true then there will be no added businesses surrounding the Walmart because of the light pollution. So the area around it looks like a demilitarized zone. Lots of abandoned trucks, equipment, and tall grass. They really do not take care of the landscaping. Including the hill side on rt 30. The township should have made sure they would have to keep that hillside trimmed and clean as it does not give an excellent impression of the town right as you exit the turnpike. Go at your own risk and check labels. read more

As opposed to reviews of the Greensburg Walmart, the North Huntingdon Walmart where I do the majority of my food shopping is very good. The workers are always helpful and seem cheerful and friendly. Shelves are usually stocked. My only complaint is locations of items change a lot. Where some item was to be found on "isle 6" as and example, it may a few days later be in a different isle. Also pushing some items by putting them in a front to back main isle on display may cause you to think they are out of it when you check the left to right isle where it used to be. Usually a worker is glad to help me find such items though. The only complaint I have is the fresh meat at the Walmarts in general is lousy as compared to the Greensburg Sams club meat quality. I have to go to Sams to get any decent meat. They must have different sources for their meat. read more

On my recent trips, I've noticed that they appear to have got rid of the shopping baskets. Were shoppers not using them? This is a inconvenience to those who just want to pick up a couple of items. And no, I'm not going to buy more stuff just because my only option is a shopping cart. I'll carry my milk, yogurt, goldfish, bananas, and apples in my hands! And yes, the parking lot is a nightmare. Always out of stock on items. Shelves are always empty. Associates are rude. Service desk associates are miserable and seem like they are on a mission to make life difficult for customers. Grocery to go has been wrong two times in a row now. Pricing is not marked correctly on several items. Deli associates have no clue how to place an order or how to answer pricing questions. Electronics associates are not knowledgeable. Everyone who works here seems like they are just waiting for death. Just miserable people. read more

The grocery pickup is the BEST thing ever!!! I can set up an order, keep adding to it all week, and then pick up my groceries on my way home from work! The people who bring them to my car are always so kind. I don't even have to get out of the car! They just load it all in my trunk!! The only downside is sometimes they don't have what I want. But they do offer substitutions and you don't have to accept them if you don't want to. Overall, it's a great service, and at Walmart, it's FREE!!!! read more

I like the convenience of this store, always clean. The parking lot is awful. Aisles at the far end going every direction but out. Overkill on trees taking up too many parking spaces. Inside is okay, obviously a smaller store means less selection. I usually have no problem finding what I need. Deli is the worst part of the store. Good product but super slow and very long waits. I have given up and now have to go elsewhere. It's a shame that I can go to another deli and still get home faster than if I would have waited in line at this Wal Mart deli. read more
