I once tried to buy a bike from this location and spent an hour trying to find someone to help me. When I go to this store it feels like this is a free for all and the store is disorganized and dirty. I once saw a gang fight in the electronics section. The individuals threw a few blows, some blood was spilled and the two parties fled the scene without any security inquiring about the matter. I had a new battery installed and that evening my car stalled on the freeway due to the cable not being screwed tightly. I called the manager and told him I would be in in the morning and how upset I was. When I arrived, there were no apologies in fact they brought out a computer service order which had been doctored to show in the comments that they recommended new cables and I declined. I took the paper and took a picture of it and went in and talked to the store manager who gave me a $20 gift card. Really?? I was almost killed on the freeway! As much as I hate going to this Walmart location, I didn't have a choice since every other store in the area was sold out of the last present I was looking for. So, I suck it up and go in today around 2:30, hoping I would beat the normal crowd. As I'm standing in line at electronics, a fist fight broke out in the next aisle over. The staff's response? Call for a supervisor. I'm not sure what they expected a supervisor to do. The fight breaks up after a few punches and one of the guy's wife/girlfriend jumping up and down cheering him on, and then they disperse. The next part was the really appalling part. All of the workers began laughing and joking about the whole situation. You have a responsibility to protect your customers and you've demonstrated that you have no interest in that responsibility. We bought a mini blow up Christmas penguin and when we got home only the stakes were in the box not the penguin. Went back to exchange it and they basically told me they will write my name down and check cameras... is a $14 penguin! I don't live in town so this won't work for me. I asked for a simple exchange to have what I actually bought and they agreed when I went to get one they were out of stock. And what would you know the only blow up Christmas decoration without a display box was the penguin... so we obviously bought the display box. The manager was so incredibly rude and patronized us for being dumb enough to not tell it didn't have the product in it "obviously this feels different than a box with the penguin in it" well obviously we weren't picking up multiple boxes to check the weight! It had metal stakes so it felt like something was in it! I will NEVER go to this Walmart again. EVER. And if you do, better hope you never need to return or make an exchange! read more

I got items that were marked at $2.44 i told her the price was not $7.94 like it rang up. That it was $2.44 and that cashier Josefina completely ignored me and didn't offer to help. I mentioned over and over again that the price was wrong and she wouldn't acknowledge that I said this and continued to ring so I finally since I was clearly not getting help I told her to take them off because I was not paying over double the price than what was marked. read more

They may carry more than my usual smaller ventura store but they are NOT handicap friendly. All clothing sections are near impossible to navigate by wheelchair. Today I thought id be ok with just a cane and a cart but with construction blocking so much of the store you have to walk 4 times farther to get to anything in the grocery section.ntook over 30 minutes to wait for a mobility cart as they only have 3vand ZERO manual wheelchairs. This turned a 15 minute trip into an hour and fifteen minute trip for 4 items. read more

Lines are always ridiculously long with way less than half the registers open! Customer service is a joke. Return line was 16 people deep & one employee. 10 minutes later a second employee made her way over slowly. Took 45 minutes to return 2 items! This Walmart is the worst I've ever been to! read more

Absolutely THE worst Walmart I have EVER been to. As is obvious, from most of the previous ratings on this location, everything about this Walmart sucks. It's FILTHY, shopping carts are everywhere, no organization, the WORST customer service ever, and horrible product. My boyfriend and I called ahead of time to see if they had PS4 controllers and by the time they answered the phone, we had already driven there...from the OTHER SIDE of Oxnard. On the phone, whoever we talked to said they had plenty in stock so we were happy and walked inside. When we got to the electronics section, they said they didn't have any. .....WTF. Then, we bought a computer mouse that was mismarked and rung up on the register for 6 dollars more than what it was marked for and the girl who "helped" us was just like "oh...hmm..." and did nothing. On our way out, we picked up a box of caprisuns and we went home and opened it to find that they were busted open and there was sticky juice ALL OVER THE INSIDE. Beyond gross and beyond pathetic. We almost called customer service to complain about how horrible they were but then we figured it would be faster to run a mile so we decided it wasn't worth any more of our time. This Walmart is EMBARRASSING. If there was a Yelp possible rating of -5 stars, then that's what it'd get. It almost wasn't worth my time to even write this review for it. read more

Probably the worst wal-mart I have ever stepped foot in. I understand crime is crazy in that neck of the woods but literally you can put anything in your cart because it's behind lock and key like personal hygenine products to things as simple as a $10 backpack. I recently went in to buy a backpack ($10 cost) it was secured to the shelf. Once I eventually found someone to unlock it, the lady sighed and debated even letting me have it...at this point I'm a little irritated I had to hunt down an associate in the first place for a cheap backpack but then she made me feel like a thief because she said she'd only let me have it if I paid for it in sporting goods which I did, I left feeling dirty. NOT a way to make your customers feel. Vowed I won't shop there again and after seeing the yelp review rating I see I'm not the only one! Better off with amazon! read more

I just visited this wallmart and am very disappointed once again. It was messy and full of rude people. Most employers were nice and helpful when they aren't busy. The prices of Walmart are always fair if not good but in order to get in and buy things is always a hassle of a crowded store along with long lines and slow clerks. I just stood in the 10 items or less "speedy checkout" for 15 minutes. There were only two people in front of me. The bozo checker left the register twice to try to help a patron find something. Neither the patron or the checker had a clue what they were looking for. When all was said and done it was not only not speedy but a total waste of time. Instead of shuffling the customer off to customer service the checker inconvenienced everyone. I have never had a satisfactory visit to this Wal Mart. They never have my medication when i need it. first you cant fill a 30-69-90 day precription untill the 30-60-90day period is over, but when it's time for your next (same) refill, they never have it!, they say that they have to order it and that can sometimes take up to a week for goodness sakes! I will never, ever go back to this Walmart. Every thing, from shampoo to equate tylenol is under lock & key. I had to pay for my shampoo and conditioner at the cosmetics counter, even though I had other shopping to do. Then, on to get pain reliever, locked up, pushed button for help. Waited for about 5 minutes, headed back to cosmetics for help. Met the sales associate coming. She unlocked the cabinet, took out the product, and said she would take it to cashier # 10 for me. I headed to the check stand #10 and there were literally 6 customers ahead of me with full carts. I wasn't allowed to take the bottle to self check or quick check. Forget it. I went to Walgreens. Being a "damsel in distress" and counting on my warranty that I have on my tires with Walmart had lead me to an awful, awful, AWFUL experience with the Rose Ave. Walmart in Oxnard, Ca. 1st, I had the experience of getting a flat on the 101 North freeway, just north of Los Angeles. 2nd, I had to get off in the 90°+ heat and change the tire myself on the side of the freeway and put on the donut spare tire. 3rd. I had to drive 25 miles on the freeway to the Walmart, on this donut tire that looked dangerously low, only to get REJECTED by the Department Manager because he wanted to make sure that he and his men got out on time at 6:30pm. I'm 1,900 miles away from home, by myself, and he's worried about an extra 10 min to change out a tire THAT I ALREADY HAD A WARRANTY ON!! I had to call and pay a tow truck driver to a local dive shop owned by a really nice Mexican man who took pity on me and stayed open 30min late in order to help me out. Walmart! You hear that? You need to train your managers on better customer service because you just lost a customer for LIFE. When I get home, I'm going to change out the 3 Walmart warranty tires that I have left and in going to Firestone Tires. I'll never use you nor your warranty again! read more

This place is always crowded so I go in early in the morning to do my shopping. The place is pretty much empty and you can browse the isles wiping anyone bothering you or bumping into you. I'm giving this store a one star because of their cashiers. They are rude rude people! Most of the people on the floor will greet you and ask if you need any help in finding anything and they are overall pretty nice. But most of the cashiers have a very bitchy attitude . They don't greet you or say your welcome . I'm pretty patient and I'm never rude to them in any way! But I mean seriously they need some serious attitude change! If they hate their job so bad and/or are under paid then move on to another job and don't take it out on your costumers !!!! read more

Messy aisles, fruit selection was not that great. Tons of families with kids everywhere . Really didn't have to wait that long to check out. Feels like you're in Mexico, tons of products in Spanish. Even bought coca cola in a glass bottle for 99 cents(kinda cool). If you're looking for random Oxnard/channel island postcards they are in the back in the yard section in some random corner. Every time I've come up to an employee asking for help, they always give me this look like I'm bothering them. Today I needed someone at the fabric section to cut some fabric for me. I asked an employee to call someone to help me. Ten minutes later I was still standing there waiting... so I left. There are over 20 registers and only 5 or 6 are open at a time.
