Customer service is non existence here. Ran in to buy a few items before holiday. The chicken isle was empty? Employee saw my confusion and was able to bring some from the back. Just one package, take it or leave it. Not sure what was was going on. Then onto get a bar of soap. Terrible prices compared to HEB, so I checked the individual toiletries isle and I was just getting one. When I went to put 3pack back, I saw a different price for the individual bar. I went back and took photo and instead of self check, waited in line. It rang up incorrect. I showed photo to cashier, but she said it was for another smaller size. In photo you can see that the larger size is the only product on shelf at price. A manager came and was absolutely no help either. Cashier said he was going to remove the wrong product from display. So I wasn't helped, other than wasting my time, and didn't leave with any soap! So much for standing by whats on display and honoring customers who bring proof to register. read more

Fresh meat case is lacking to say the least. Usually only two or three roasts available. Produce about the same. They had no cabbage before New Years day. Very little inventory of milk. Employees are fine and friendly. They're the ones getting the stars. read more

The customer service at the Rockdale Walmart is extremely subpar. The knowledge of Walmart policy is surprisingly low. According to their management clean fast friendly is no longer a priority. They loaded an unsecure load for an elderly woman, then when the pallet of water flipped out of the truck while leaving the management took zero responsibility. Not only did they take absolutely zero responsibility, they continued to blame the customer for the problem and at no point apologized or offered any form of compensation. Of the 258$, we were just hoping they acknowledged the issue and offered maybe a 25$ gift card. However all we were told is it was her own fault and they have no policies regarding loading pallets safely on a customers personal vehicle. The manager also claimed there's no policy for wrapping pallets when outside the building, but that moving it through the warehouse or back room to get it to the truck it was safely done.it somehow just became unsafe after being loaded. In the managers year at the location, it never happened until yesterday,. Because it's happened twice in 2 days. The rockdale Walmart management encompasses the negative view that communities have of the Walmart brand. read more

Very disturbed with self check out. Prices on product reflect wages of employees. If I have to check out myself, I should get a discount. Also attitude of some employees for help when asked should be in a positive mood and not like they can't be bothered. read more

The management at this Walmart is what makes it so terrible, they target employees making their work environment intolerable, they stretch employees so thin they can't possibly do their job effectively then punish them for it, I will never shop at this Walmart ever again because of the way they treat their staff. They will have to answer one day for the way they treat people. read more

Unfortunately, Wal Mart has twice perpetuated the incorrect notion that IDing all members of a party for alcohol purchases is a state law (as opposed to a store or company policy) (My wife and me, both 27, encounter this frequently) As I pointed out in my Brookshire Brothers revew, this is not the case: https://www.tabc.state.tx.us/enforcement/age_verification.asp And while I completely accept and understand that stores have the ability to set their own policies, I think it is poor form for employees to communicate that this is a state mandate and not a company mandate. I also think the notion that this prevents kids from drinking if only one of them has an ID is foolhardy, having once been 20 years old myself and it being pretty obvious to anyone with even half a brain how to circumvent that situation (you know, wait in the car?) This seems to be a city-wide issue where training is either being done improperly or people aren't understanding what they're being told. Anyway, the discussion with the Wal Mart employees/management has been much more pleasant than at Brookshire -- probably in part too because I now recognize what sort of absurd mountain I'm climbing here -- so I'll give them an extra star. This is a ridiculous and kind of funny place in which I draw the line in the sand -- I understand it seems kind of goofy -- but my feeling is that if people perpetuate incorrect information about small and relatively unimportant laws, they're likely to do so when it comes to more important issues and this often causes people to vote or act or think against their own interests. read more

Clean, yes. Like other Walmarts, no. Not in the least. Limited selection as it is a much smaller store than most. Staff is not caring and seems as if they would rather be anywhere else. read more

Tiny hot stinky DARK Walmart. I rather go to the one in Taylor or Hutto then this one sadly.

Personally I like the fact that this Wal-Mart is kinda small. I don't care to walk all over a store for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread. Also my boyfriend is disabled and unable to walk far. With that said this is definitely my Wal-Mart of choice. read more
