I'm not a big fan of this Walmart because the staff has generally been unfriendly during my visits. The produce prices are reasonable, the store is usually clean, and they do a decent job keeping items stocked. They also have a large parking lot, which is convenient. My biggest complaint is how heavily they push self-checkout while rarely having enough cashier lanes open. It's especially frustrating when you have a full cart and all the self-checkout stations are already occupied. Having more staffed checkout lanes available would make the shopping experience much better. read more

Been using this Walmart for 4 years now. Today was the final straw. Alex, the Walmart delivery manager was just downright rude. Hung up on me because I told him that you would think because the HEB just opened up down the street that they would step their game up a little bit. Apparently he didn't like it. Problem is they fucked up my order again I'm a disabled veteran and I don't have transportation while my wife is at work. They listed an item that I needed for tonight as in stock and then after the delivery I got a text informing me that it was not. This proves one thing actually two things. Just an update to my last review concerning the old fruits & veggies in the produce department specifically the green onions. I bought them 3 or 4 times they are crisp when I buy them but fully wilted 24 hours later. So I decided to buy some more on Saturday & I also had to stop at Fresh for something while I was there I bought some of their green onions. Another post about this Walmart in Rose City, again with bad food. I purchased some Milo's Tea, got to home found it had expired 3 days earlier. I purchased 3 packs of flats & drums, 1 pack was good, 2nd pack was yellow & 3rd had bloody bruised pieces and 1 piece was gray. I have purchased pork chops that were gray on the inside. The whole milk last 3 or 4 days before it is too nasty to drink. I Went to this location to purchase some last minute dry food items. As i walk past the meat dept. I notice a package of New York Strip Steaks. price looked good so I purchased. Took Them home 10 mins away put into refridg. Took them out next day to cook on the grill I opened the package and could hardly handle the stench. This Walmart gets super busy at peak hours, the best time to go shopping here is early in the morning to avoid the crowds, I love this Walmart ,things are simple and easy to find, but it is also very popular with the locals. read more

If you go to the tech section you gotta see Brian-Tre he helped me and my husband out with getting a mobile hot spot. my review for him is 5/5 stars couldn't be better. but i give the walmart a 4/5 we had a nice talk with another worker while Brian-Tre went to get a manager to unlock the cafe the hotspot was in. He had to call on the intercom 2 times and no manager showed up to help him. Then, me and my my husband went up to customer support to get a manager bc they obviously weren't listening to him. Unhappy employees to start off with. The case complaining because the store decided to turn off the air in the front. And I agree, it's very hot. The place is a mess. You have to fight through "charities" no one has ever heard of, to enter or leave. NO HANDICAPPED PARKING! Every space full, less than a third with placards or plates that allow parking there. I used to be happy with this Walmart because it was unlike all the others. Not anymore. It has become nasty, with stuff all in the isles and no workers in site. It also does not stock well. Update on the last review: Walmart just had a "baby sale" where everything was marked down. My sister who lives in Florida informed me of the sale. I looked up the stores that were participating and Royse City was one of them. It seemed to me that most of the Supercenter stores were so logically it should be a unified sale. Well to be honest it wasn't much of a sale at all. Theresa the manager informed me that it wasn't for all of tens and only for certain ones. When I explained to her that my sister got 30% off diapers she was furious and informed me in here exact words: "I'm not going to argue with you". Theresa was extremely rude and provided poor customer service. The sale was not fair across the board and the sale was a joke. read more

This Walmart is rude to its employees especially cart pushers I have seen these boys work there asses off on this heat on many occasions , I have seen one of them ask for more hours and the managers completely blew him off like what ?!?! And they give these other employees like from the back more hours and there the ones who are always slacking off but get paid 2 bucks more then the people working outside in the head. In other Walmarts I seen that they have the remote control electric carts how come this one doesn't use there's instead of just sitting in the cart bay . Not a big fan of Walmart to begin with. I have to say this is the worst one I have ever been to. My wife prefers to go to this one to shop over the Quinlan location but this location never has any produce ever. This pharmacy and its incompetent employees are slower than a pack of turtles crawling through frozen molasses. Do not come here if you have other options unless you love to hang out in walmart or have nothing better to do or you don't really need the medicine prescribed to you. I was told it would take 45 minutes to fill my order. I grabbed the items I needed and spent the rest of the time on the cold metal bench, I guess I was lucky they had one. After I asked if it was ready, the employee told me it wasn't scanned correctly and that he needed to start the process over but this time he would change my status to "in store" so it would "go faster". Have I not been "in store" for the past hour waiting for my meds?! They have been ridiculously slow every other time I have come here too. Avoid if possible. read more

I never thought in a million years I could give Walmart such a high review. This is by far the best Walmart I have ever been to. This store is clean and organized. Maybe it is a newer store and it just hasn't had a chance to get messed up yet?! I saw multiple employees "facing" the aisles for a neater appearance. The employees seemed to be be happier here as well. Store seemed pretty well stocked. I went during the week, I am sure the weekends are a completely different story which is why I avoid Walmart on the weekends. The customer service girl does not greet the customers. I have had the unfortunate encounter with this young lady twice while returning some items. She just stands there looking at me without a word or smile. If you don't like your job then why do you show up. You need to be moved to stocking, this way you don't have to talk to anyone. Came to this Walmart for just a few things and happened upon a great deal on a laptop. The associate told us that the one we had our eye on wasn't in stock, but the manager, Charles, who was in the electronics section at the time, went above and beyond by double-checking and then calling around other Walmarts to see if any of them had the laptop we wanted. He was very helpful, courteous, kind, and pleasant. He showed exemplary customer service and made us wish we lived closer to Royse City so we could come here regularly. read more

Very unprofessional Assistant manager. Tried to exchange a tablet and they would give me another tablet or my old one back, she kept saying to take the money and buy another one online. I was kicked out of the store and had to call the cops to get my merchandise back. Finally the General Manager came out and said the assistant manager didn't know how to re-write system to give me my merchandise back. Will not be going to this store again. They are not doing their best in making people wear masks. A lady walks in takes it off. Walks by a few works and nothing. It's not it'll I start saying something that the works say we have protocol for handle those people. Not sure what it is as I saw that lady again and still no mask. Told yet another worker nothing. Word of advise if you plan on picking up your online order go around to customer service, waited 25 min to pick up our Oder. We used the kiosk and sat and waited got tired of waiting and went to go get some one then the girl goes you should of went to customer service the kiosk it not alerting us since it has been updated . I told her well would it be nice to let customers know with a sign so we are not just standing there and how are to know that.
