Apparently answering a phone or responding to a receiving door is simply too much to ask. Drivers can sit and wait while employees completely ignore calls and act like nobody is there, despite clearly being on site. When someone finally decides to acknowledge your existence, you're often met with rude attitudes, poor communication, and a complete lack of respect. It's amazing that a company that depends on truck drivers to keep its shelves stocked can treat those same drivers so poorly. Truck drivers spend long hours away from their families, deal with traffic, weather, regulations, and tight schedules, only to arrive here and be treated like a nuisance. Basic professionalism seems nonexistent. Kroger management should spend less time ignoring drivers and more time fixing the receiving department. Until then, drivers should be prepared for long waits, unanswered phones, unanswered doors, and employees who make it clear they couldn't care less about your time. I've been to multiple walmarts and always had trouble with barcodes at the self check out on movies. The nice lady working their was the first too actually tell me why everytime I scan a movie it calls over the person working. Management also stated they don't have a way to "turn off" incoming orders or notify customers that they will not be getting their order on time, which is very difficult to believe. Oh, that handy app you'll also be directed towards to cancel your order by management? It doesn't allow you to cancel or change orders, no matter what step in the process the store employees are at in (not) filling it. Today was the last day I give this location a dime of my income.
