I needed my…read moreprescription refilled, and since I've been been with Walgreens for so many years, I got my doctor to send the prescription in to them, but come to my surprise, they wouldn't Refill it because of some stupid 50 mile radius, and that it's under "control substance" ( Ambien) Walgreens gave me a big slap in the face. Luckily, a family member suggested Semmes Pharmacy. I stopped by, and spoke with them before I contacted my family doctor to change location. I just want to say, thank you for understanding, being respectful, and willing to fill my prescription. It's good to know that the small family businesse are the ones who will truly support you, and help you no matter what. I will always remember this. Thank you!!

When I walked around to where she could see me she was already at the previous counter calling me back over. She obviously knew I was there and just didn't bother to speak. I gave her my Rx and my worker's compensation insurance information and told her my social was written on the back. She didn't listen. She called out across the pharmacy from where she enters information to the sitting area a asking my personal information. I had to repeat myself multiple times where she just stopped listening. When she asked me what time I want to pick it up I said I'll wait. Her response well it's probably gonna be while. That's fine, I'll wait. Then when she called the workman's compensation insurance company she sounded like she was trying to be as unhelpful as possible. She walk my paperwork to me and tells me she has to wait on the claims adjuster to approve it and call her back. No ma'am. I'll use good rx and pay out of pocket. She tells me ok, let me know when you have it ready. Every other pharmacy I've been to recently always tells me they can access the coupons themselves. Whatever. I gave her the information and sat back down. If CVS wasn't contracted with the insurance company I'd have never come. If I'd have known what a delightful individual I'd have to deal with here while in pain, I'd have just used a coupon at Walgreens while I was there.

I walked them into the local pharmacy that I had never had ay issues. So I received a call stating that they was ordering one medication and the other would be ready after 12 noon. My sister went by no medicine, a few hrs later I went nor filled yet. It took them o Almost 24 hr to fill the medicine. I picked up in the drive through the tech had a very bad disposition as we spoke about the medication I was picking up as well as the medication that's was being ordered. Once we got on the same page I confirmed I wanted the other medication to be ordered it would take 2 days and it was $120 plus. I advise yes that was fine. Later that night my 74 year old mother called me frantic saying a person just called about daddy's medicine. I told her I would go by and see why did the call her after I ok'd the order. Long story short to many young people not follow procedures, no management staff available just not comparing or making notes. Terrible unfriendly young people unprofessional staff!! Need to clean house especially when you talking about people medication. It took almost 3 days to get on one page and get my father medication!

When I decided to change my pain medication I seriously thought it would be no problem..... well evidently at this particular Walgreens the pharmacist gets to pick and choose which medication they want to fill. The pharmacy tech was very nice, but the pharmacist was very rude and I felt like she was judging me. Then my mother in law had a very bad experience with the same pharmacist. She has been using the same Walgreens for years and it always seems to be some sort of problem. One time they wouldn't fill it because the doctor forgot to sign the prescription, I understand the issue but instead of calling the doctor to make sure everything was good to go, they refused to talk to the doctor. They made my elderly mother in law drive all the way to her doctor's office to get a new prescription....then they wouldn't fill it because it was one day early. I swear every month it's some kinda of problem...and I mean every month. I stopped using them after the pharmacist refused to fill my prescription, and I'm hoping my mother in law would do the same but we will see....I'm sure this month it's going to be some issue.

I had the same medication refilled last year here, but this year is different. I don't care if it's emergency or just wanting to visit family, Walgreens knows what medication you have in the system, and the doctor electronically send the prescription in, you (Walgreens) should fill it. This is the most ridiculous stupid thing I've seen in a long time. People needs to stop using them and find another place.
