Store is usually well stocked and I can easily find everything I am looking for without a problem. This location is busy most of the time. Mornings and late evenings are the best time to go. Great Value store brand is just as it says. a great value compared to brand names. Available for many products. I use the Walmart pharmacy to take advantage of low prices. So do my shopping after picking up a prescription. Pharmacy line can be long (5-6 people) but moves quickly. Pharmacy staff is great. Self check-out line can be long (4-8 people), but moves quickly. I haven't used the manned check-out line in years. Prefer to bag myself so I can sort products based on where they go in my kitchen/home. Recommend this location for all your grocery and sundry needs. Just don't go when school gets out in the afternoons or during after work rush hour. read more

Placed an order for mulch on line. Told to be there between 11 and 12. Got there at 11:30 order not ready but four guys standing around talking. Waited till 12 still no order, went to get mulch instead of waiting. Finally found someone to check the mulch out. Took four times to find a price book at another register. Paid and went to where you pick up on line orders, four guys still standing and talking but order not ready yet. There was two pallets of the mulch but they couldn't stop talking to get the order. What a joke, you order thinking it will be easier but it definitely wasn't because talking seemed to be more important than the order. I came here today with my daughter who had to make a return from another Walmart store. I witnessed a very accommodating customer service person tend to my daughter. I just moved to Spartanburg a month ago and have been buying a good bit for my home in addition to purchasing my groceries there. I had to return several items tonight that didn't work out, and I have never been so stunned at the rudeness of both the women in customer service! Never once did they smile or have a kind word. If I had a question, I was either ignored or answered with a hateful attitude. I am a firm believer in being kind, so I know I did nothing to be treated so poorly. I did go speak to the manager, and, she was just as rude and hateful as they were. Never an apology for my experience or assurance my situation would be addressed. I have contacted the 800 number and given my complaint , and, written a letter to Walmart headquarters. From the reviews I have read, this is an ongoing issue. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment this morning at 7am to have a tire replaced. First off I got 4 brand new tires put on March 2nd. Last Tuesday I got a flat tire. Went to Walmart the next day to see about getting it fixed. I knew it couldn't be plugged because it was the outside wall, the guy told me they don't carry the tire in the store which is crap because at the Farmington, Maine Walmart they have them in stock because they are the same exact tires I had before we moved here. Anyways back to why it's getting the review I am leaving. I had to order the tire and pay for it up front then make an appointment to have it put on. The soonest they had was today, 3/29/25. I made it for 7am-8am I get there at 6:45am. No lights on in the garage area. At 7am I see movement in there. Then a guy comes out and says we have no air in the compressor so we are not opening until further notice. This was at 7:10am. Apparently their compressor crapped the bed yesterday. The guy's manager said they were in the process of calling everyone who had appointments this morning. Well, maybe an email or a phone call YESTERDAY would have been nice. I asked if I could just get my tire and take it over to Hillcrest Walmart instead. I made an appointment there for 10am-11am over there. He's like I have to make sure it's okay with my boss for you to do that. I said I've already paid for the tire you can just give it to me instead of being a d o u c h e. Anyways. I will make the extra 20 minute drive to shop at Hillcrest or Cedar Springs. I will never shop at this Walmart ever again. read more

If I can give 0 stars then I would. This is by far the WORST again WORST Walmart I have ever been to! I came in to pick up a couple of things and when I couldn't find something I found a employee nearby and ask to help me. It's like I was such an inconvenience for him to even help a customer. IT'S YOUR JOB TO HELP!! He walked over to what I was looking for and said "nope none" (mind you it even showed in stock ok their Walmart app. I asked if he could scan the barcode to help see if they had it at another store, and again with eye rolls and attitude he said "nope none". So again I went to pick up the rest of my things and once again another item (showed in stock on all) and none on the shelf. They never have anything!! If any of you have ever been to this Walmart you know what I'm going to say about it. It is not great. They never have anything in stock. Even when they do have more stock than usual is not the most or is not comparable to other Walmarts. The store is also very dirty and the staff isn't the best. This Walmart doesn't always have the nicest employees. Also for some reason when I visit this Walmart in particular I always feel like I've been in there for so long but it'll have just been 20 minutes. It's crazy. This was the worst experience I've ever had getting tires. Yesterday I needed two tires and I waited 2.5hrs before deciding to leave. There was only one customer ahead of me! I returned this morning when the automotive department opened at 8am. They didn't open the bay doors until almost 8:30am. I was first in line. Another 2.5hr wait I finally got two tires mounted! At least I had the opportunity to watch the "crew" leisurely walk around the shop and have a good time. Two hours into my experience I asked for a manager. Thirty minutes later when I asked again the employee's response was "You still want to speak to a manager?" "Absolutely " I responded. No words spoken just a side glance and a lazy finger point directing me to a so-called manager. She didn't look at me or even attempt to ask if there was a problem. I started the conversation after a minute of silence while she aimlessly straightened a stack of invoices, never making eye contact. After explaining my two day experience she said to me sarcastically "I mean, I don't know what you want me to do for you." "A discount for being inconvenienced would be nice." "That's above my pay grade." She replied. I then asked who I needed to speak to. She just pointed at a picture behind her on the wall. I was told he would be in tomorrow morning so I will be having a conversation with him then. I don't expect I'll be treated any differently. In the five hours I waited over the last two days I witnessed at least six outraged customers leave due to being completely ignored by staff and service techs. This Walmart is not nearly as nice as all the other ones. The one in Greenville is much better. This one has a McDonald's in it, which I guess is fine. Except this McDonald's will never give you a cup of water. You have to buy the bottle of water from them if you want water with your meal They tend to run out of things quicker here because I guess more people shop here. This store always seems to have over half of the registers closed, grumpy employees and unfortunately a mess in almost every department. This isn't the first time I've been to this location and seen that over half of the self checkouts are closed as well. In a positive note, this location is always fully stocked and I've never had an issue with this specific location being out of something that I needed. But I would suggest being prepared for all the registers to be closed except for a few lanes, and to hear everyone in line behind you and in front of you complain about it. read more

Omg the absolute worse store I have ever stepped into. I ordered my groceries for pick up. I ordered a 100 oz tide laundry detergent. When I got home I realized they gave me 40 oz instead and still charged me for 100oz. So for the past 2 hours I've been on the phone trying to get a credit. Still waiting on the phone. Screw Walmart I will never go into another Walmart as long as I live. Finally after two hours and calling corporate I finally got a refund. Done for good with Walmart. I hate Walmart in general, but I have to rant about this store in particular simply due to the fact that it's high-volume, always packed, features long customer service, etc. This store is full of "people". Only redeeming factor is the McDonald's, which is fine to me. Should I also mention that all of the electronic displays (wireless speakers, games, etc) are turned off. That doesn't make any sense considering how busy this store can get. Both of the other Walmarts here have their displays turned on. Just left there....everyone is herded like cows into one door where you are sure to be exposed to COVID if you haven't been yet, and then herded out the same doors to make sure you get exposed again.... Bless your heart if you are old, sick, or compromised and you need to get a prescription from there....you have to enter the door furthest away from the pharmacy and then walk the length of the store to get to and then from the pharmacy....oh, no! You CANNOT exit the door by the pharmacy either....and heaven forbid you request to walk on the front side of the registers to exit...absolutely not....you must walk on the back side where the most amount of people are. I bought two tires from here I had Goodyear on my car as these was on there when I purchased the car brand new. I had to get two tires which was Nexon tires. Two weeks after I purchased them the back passenger one had to be patched. Went there yesterday because the same one that they fixed is still not fixed. The Bay manager tried to tell me I bought Goodyear and I told him that I did not. The guy that put them on put down the wrong code on it for what tires I had purchased. The girl I spoke to when I bought the tired was there also remembered me but when the manager came over he said she probable told me a lie as she was standing there. So unprofessionally! So I asked him if I purchesed Goodyear tires then why did they fix it for free, as I had the receipt were they did he then told me well I guess they made a mistake and you got a free fix that they made a mistake. So I then said well don't you think they made a mistake on the number that they put down for what type of tires I bought he said no.So I have a tire that is bad and as I paid EXTRA for the road hazard I can't do nothing but go SOMEWHERE else and get another tire. Its a shame that this is the one that is open late at night in this area- I work odd shifts and this is one of the worst Walmart locations my roommate and I have ever seen. We just moved into the area recently- on our first visit, there was a greeter near the door- 10 feet from the electronic wheelchairs. We prefer to use those when doing any major shopping because I cannot push her manual chair and a cart for purchases at the same time. All the power chairs were dead. We mentioned this to the employee standing 4 feet away who just shrugged- when we left more than an hour later, she was still standing right there and hadn't bothered to even try plugging one in. Thinking maybe it was a fluke, we went back again tonight. Out of the 8 carts they had near the entrance there was one with 50% power left. If that was the only problem, it would be annoying but not major. However the grocery side of the store smelled bad (we opted not to buy anything that didn't come cans), the store was dirty, and most of the aisle we en't down looked like a whirlwind had come through and taken the stuff. It wasn't just bad recovery- it was also a lack of any stock- entire isles where there were only a handful of items in stock, and those just haphazardly dumped on the shelves in piles. Walmart corporate should really take a walk through this store and see what the customer sees. read more

This is easily the worst Walmart in the Upstate. The employees have always been friendly but that is the only good thing I can say. The parking lot is always disgusting(dirty diapers, chew spit, lots of gum etc......). The interior of the store isn't horrible but I wouldn't say it is clean either. The thing that prompted this review though is tonight's visit. I parked on the end of the store by the garden center, went in and then tried to exit the doors I came in. They had locked those doors and the garden center gate forcing me to go all the way to the other end of the store to exit and then all the way across the parking lot to my vehicle. I usually do not mind walking, I actually park further away because it is easier to find parking but I was in a hurry and closing one end of the store before it was even late makes no sense unless you are just being slack. Thankfully, I was by myself and did not have my 2 young kids with me because it definately is not the most secure area after around 9 at night. This Walmart reminds me of when Kmart was going down hill fast. read more
