This Walmart could stand to be better when it comes to customer service. Most times when I shop here there is only two check out lines open. I don't like or want to do self check out. Most times I see a lot of employees standing around talking to other employees. Ask a employee where something is they might tell you but won't show you where it is. Our they don't have a clue where it is. Had this one guy that works there check me out a few times. Asked how his day was going and he just sighed and said I'm here. He also seemed frustrated dealing with most customers. Had another girl when she bagged my groceries put food products in with cleaning products. you can't have anything delivered without a tip. they sent my meds to the wrong place.i waited 3 days for a medication delivery.went through customer service 3 times.now I have to see a DR. for missing my meds. the food delivery is just as bad. Who knew... not all Walmarts are the same?! Even though this one is a super center, it's not open 24/7. Maybe that's because of the area that it's located in though. I walked here from my hotel and passed a few questionable people. Where I come from, the panhandlers aren't like those folks. Anyways, even in the Walmart were questionable people. I didn't die nor was I hurt though. Despite the opposite of most of its patrons, this Walmart was clean and organized. I didn't find anything to be cluttered or in disarray. This location sells beer, wine, AND liquor. That's a first. Lots on clearance items to be found as well. Our cashier was sitting on a stool and refused to go to the tobacco lane for the patron before me. I heard them arguing about it, he said that they always walk over to the next lane and grab what he needed. She refused, resulting in him storming away mad. Yikes. I am a disabled veteran. And I have MS. I have to use crutches to walk. I can rarely find a motorized cart when I arrive at Walmart. I have waited for as much as an hour for a cart. Walmart stores are just too large for me to shop without a motorized cart. Therefore Walmart has become my last choice in places to shop. read more

As much time as I've spent waiting in lines at this Walmart, they should be paying me wages and benefits. Perpetually understaffed and patronized by some of Springfield's most ill-adjusted humans, you find yourself bracing for a new kind of awful experience pretty much any time you walk through the doors. Most recently, this phenomenon manifested itself in the form of a cashier who forgot to give customers in front of me their change THREE TIMES IN A ROW, each instance requiring the intervention of a manager. I was there to buy a gallon of water, which costs less than $1, and spent at least 30 minutes in line to do so - without so much as a shred of acknowledgment or apology from the cashier in question or her managers. The only reason I'm leaving two stars is because there are a couple of long term employees here with whom it is genuinely fun to interact. But overall, they are beleaguered and overwhelmed by a system which goes out of its way to devalue and disrespect customers' time and patience. read more

Don't use this auto center. Went for an oil change so I could shop at the same time. Spent almost two hours waiting for my vehicle to be service. Still didn't get my oil changed. The guy at the service counter originally told me it would be a half hour wait and they would page me. After all my shopping was done ( a little over 60 mins later) I was told that they just had to finish a flat tire in front of me then I was next. Five minutes and my car would be in. So I took another lap around the store slowly. Gave it thirty minutes and went back and saw my car still in the parking lot. Then inquired again. I was once again told my car was next and it would be five minutes wait and another thirty for my oil change. But there was a customer in front of me when I arrived standing there upset as well. Who said he was told the exact same thing I was. So I took my car somewhere else. You can't lie to everyone in line. That's horrible service. I needed an oil change and called the Walmart auto center that day to find out about pricing (which I was given the wrong information) and if I needed to schedule an appointment. The guy at the front counter in the auto service department was extremely rude over the phone. I went in later that day for the oil change and I'm pretty sure it was the same guy up front and he was even ruder in person lol not just to me but to the customer before me as well. Do NOT buy a cake from the bakery. We ordered the cake in the store two months ago and said we need to feed thirty. Went to pick it up two hours before the party and it's a very small cake. I also found it difficult to get in/out of this location. There is not as much parking at this Wal Mart as there is at others. The store was organized and u was able to find what we needed. Things were cluttered after a holiday and employees reorganizing merchandise. I would say the service was fair-good. Could be friendlier. read more

This is my favorite WalMart garden center and I think the food selection is larger at this store than the others too. But I have been approached by aggressive panhandlers in the parking lot at this location more than once and that's not good. I wouldn't go to this location alone after dark and even in daylight if I can't find a parking spot that's close, I leave. Also, the staff at this location seems even less friendly and competent than the norm. Worst customer service experience especially in the front end. Everyone acts like they have no clue what to do. I came in asking for a list of elementary school supplies for a specific school and they were out. They were telling me they don't print anymore and they are the only ones we have. That's the only response I got. My phone was on low percentage and I just needed a list to be printed off so I could shop. I came up to 5 Walmart employees and they acted bothered by me. So I decided to leave and drive all the way to TARGET and it was WORTH IT!!!! They actually do something. Stop shopping at Walmart. Even though it's far and a tad bit more expensive it's worth it. Went in for an oil change. I was told there was a 1 1/2 hour wait, which I expected. After 2 hours I could see my car was sitting up in the air on the lift with no one around it. I asked what was going on and was told my battery was bad. Funny because the printout they gave me said it checked good. They told me they have to put that to complete the transaction. I suspect they ruined my battery when they tested it. I had them put in another battery and that took another 2 hours, because the staff was busy working together on someone else's vehicle, Like mine didn't even matter. I live 36 miles away, on tues. morn. sept. 15 , 2015, I went to get a refund on crosman, pellet pistols, that did not work, for my husband, on my way in to work, , at thecustomer service, was asked if id been to sporting goods, and told to go there, so I went there, and lady, took her time, empting the pellet guns, I asked if I could get a refund, and was tld to go back up front, now I was mad, and I asked her if she thought this was fun? in a raised voice, no cursing. I proceeded up front again, the lady from sporting goods, called up front and told them not to refund my money, , I asked for a manager, a lady named Karen, mngr. came up front, while I was on phone to my husband, and did not talk to or help me in any way, instead, she said they would not refund my money, I have receipt, and it was only 5 days old. she said its their discretion, and she said, I can leave the store with my stuff, or I can be escorted out.
