I have shopped this store on a number of occasions but today topped the cake for horrible experiences! I needed to return a couple of items and proceeded to the Customer Service area. It was 10:40am and there were no lights on at the counter. There was an incredibly rude woman with her name badge conveniently turned backwards standing by the area. She refused to acknowledge me, despite standing 3 feet away. I asked her if there was anyone working and she said, "No, it's closed." I then asked how I might make a return. Her response, "You can't." No apology, no alternative solution, no attempt to help at all, NOTHING. I don't care what I need in the future and how convenient this location may be, I will not return. This is the CLEANEST and most WELL STOCKED Walmart store I have ever been in. Every time I go in there it is the same. I have been in Walmarts all across the country and none of them come close to the Taylor's store. This store is an hour away from my home, so I don't get there often. all I needed was to put a bunch of Walmart plastic bags in recycle bin, get bananas and batteries. I went in right entrance...no bin for bags there. When I went to return them at other entrance from inside store...couldn't get through one way gate...employee sitting right by alarm never turned around to see why alarm went off...I called for assistance...she completely ignored me. The bananas were all super green and the batteries were locked up...pushed button for help...of course no one came. New self checkout is so cramped...you can't get a cart through one side and barely through the other side....extremely poor design. I hate salesmen in a store....there were 2 by the TV section that stopped me....don't know what they were selling...very annoying. I will not return to this Way Mart. read more

Tried to buy 2 champagnes. Wouldn't scan. The people working there tried to help but when it wouldn't go through they were unwilling to somehow sell it to us or go get us 2 others. They need better scanners and employees willing to walk across the store to provide the items for customers. read more

Returned a tv bought on the app & was told that the barcode did t match what was on the app. It was a 32" for my moms room at the nursing home but would t work bc her roommate had the same kind of tv. I kept the box in case it didnt work out. so 2 wks later I return it & am made out to be a criminal or something bc the stupid numbers didnt match. The kids they have working the online pickup are responsible for that. I shop at that store every single week & am not buying anything smaller than a 55" for my house. Furious. read more

Found everything I needed and wanted in record time thanks to the Walmart app that locates the items by alpha numeric signage. Plus you can price check on your phone using the scan feature of the app. BUT THEN... the wait. Only THREE checkouts open unless you wanted to stand in the extensive line for self-scan. No thank you --unless I'll get a discount for filling on for your employees. After about 15 minutes my ole body was getting really tired so I called the store and after more than 2 minutes someone answered. I asked her to PLEASE open another checkout because we were 5 deep in each line and we were getting tired. She placed an all call on the intercom and after another 4 minutes another line opened. Kudos for reacting to customers at the end of their wits but major demerits for putting your customers in a dilemma like this. read more

Tonight I left my phone in a shopping cart at Walmart supercenter in Taylors, when I got home, I had no idea that I had left my phone there, I put my groceries away at 11:30pm, sat down for a great movie, at 2am I reached for my phone and discovered I didn't have it, I used "find my phone" on my Mac mini and discovered that it was still at Walmart inside the store, I am mediately designated my phone from my Mac mini as lost, I then got in my truck at 2 AM went to the store, knocked on the door & a team leader produced my phone for me in literally 10 minutes..... This is the epitome of customer service, the people gathering the shopping carts are solely responsible for turning it in to management, and I couldn't thank you guys enough for having the integrity & honesty for turning it in to management. Worst Management Decision Ever! Closing two of the three entrances, using only one in the heat of a busy summer Saturday is absolutely ridiculous. There's no social distancing bc you're herding people into one central location. The self service should be shut down completely or put hand sanitizer by each station. I have been trying to get a job with this place for over a month now. Dollar General ended up hiring me before walmart supercenter in taylors sc ever called me for an interview. That's only one of the issues. Currently this wal-mart closes at 11pm every night when before covid 19 hit they were a 24hr store. They claim they need help really bad but refuse to answer the the phone. When people put in applications here they go through all this hassle of being asked so many questions (The application is literally 2 parts) and then never get back in touch with any of the people who put applications in at this store. It's been about 2 months ago besinse I put my application in. I've tried calling over and over again and never get a hold of anyone helpful who can help me with my application. I have not been interviewed yet. Plenty of people have complained about this one and have even stopped going to Walmart in Taylors sc. When you go to Walmart, after you do your shopping you notice that only 2 or 3 other cash registers are open other than self-check out. At self check out and the other 2 or 3 cash registers that are open are so full that the line stretches all the way in to the food section as well as into the clothes section. People, including myself have had to wait in line to be checked out for over 40 mins long. It's worse when you go to self check out because obviously some people are slow and take more time than others. It also has to do with people prefer to go through self check out even when they have more than 16 items because waiting in line at a register is going to make you have to spend more time getting through the register and out the door. Wal-mart does not have to be this way but it seems that managers are refusing to hire on more (much needed) people to work check out, stocking, produce, dairy, etc. Today was my last straw. It's been so long my application for walmart on indeed says that it is expiring. As much effort as I have made to get a job at this place, I believe I will be working else where if I do not hear from a hiring manager extremely soon! You would think as a business in this day & age with covid 19 circulating as well as inflation, you would want to make sure you can stay open and not have to shut your business down because you can't do something as simple as pull applications and hire people on. This is ashamed. Cooperate should take a look at both greer and taylors supercenter walmarts. I have no bad things to say about travelers rest walmart supercenter nor any of the walmart grocery stores but these two walmarts need better hiring managers and the current hiring managers need to be fired for not doing there job. read more

This Walmart is currently being renovated, which is long overdue. Self checkouts have been added, and the store layout is being updated. I see more employees, more checkout lines open, and there's always a greeter at the door now. These are welcome changes! This is my choice of stores when I'm on this side of town. Of note: The parking lot is a maze, especially around the gas pumps, and this needs to be reconfigured. read more

I started using their grocery delivery service about a year or so ago due to no longer having a car to shop for my own groceries. My issue with using the delivery service is...1st-they don't take coupons, 2nd-when you place your online order, by the time they "pick" your order to get it ready for delivery, if someone from the general public walks into the store and buys all of that particular product that's on the shelf, your delivery order of that product becomes "out of stock" even if I ordered it the day before. I NEVER EVER have received my full order. But because they deliver, I tolerate it. But you can bet, once I get my transportation(car) issue resolved, I will take my grocery shopping somewhere else. Oh! And they NEVER have more than 2 or 3 registers open...even during major shopping holidays. They have been doing that WAYYYY before Covid crisis. read more

The staff was incredibly rude to me in electronics while I was asking a simple question. Then at checkout, they were rude and had a terrible attitude. We waited in a line of about thirty people just to be insulted while we were spending over a hundred bucks. They only had one checkout open and when I asked the front end manager to open up another register, he just laughed and mockingly said "I could." Terrible and not right. Take your business elsewhere is my recommendation. read more

Went here again today to shop for some undershirts and to buy a prepaid phone for my parents. Have I mentioned how much I hate this Walmart? I would give this place zero stars if I could. The associates are rude and unprofessional. Just because I'm their age they will try relating to me by calling me "bruh" or complaining to me after they deal with an unhappy customer. In my opinion this is extremely unprofessional. Secondly, the store overall is dirty and messy. Don't expect to find what you're looking for in the right place. When I went to shop yesterday, I had to hunt to try to find my size of undershirts and found one pack. Then when I went to purchase the phone I wanted I was told by the employee "sorry man we don't have no more of those. They fly off the shelves." How is that my issue? You just lost a sale Walmart. I promptly walked out of the store and went down the road to target. They had 3 of the phones on the display, and they had 6 packs of the undershirts I was looking for. read more

I accidentally left an item (insulin) in my cart in the parking lot. I called to see if it had been found and turned in. The service counter did not answer the phone and ultimately hung up on me. I then called the pharmacy, after a longish wait the pharmacy answered and asked me to hold for a minute. That minute turned into TWENTY-SEVEN MINUTES BY THE TIMER ON MY PHONE. Tells me how much Walmart cares about their customers that I had to call twice and listen to their useless voicemail twice. The main store never answered. The pharmacy kept me on hold for TWENTY SEVEN MINUTES. read more

I just left with my first grocery pick up from this location and I am very pleased! I ordered my groceries from the app and checked in once I was parked. Everything flowed so smoothly! I would have given five stars if I didn't have substitutions. Although, my substitutions were both upgrades, one item I couldn't take bc it was a set of drawers for my pantry and the bigger set that they gave would not fit my measurements. I will definitely do this again and recommend for all my busy friends! read more

This WalMart is HORRIBLE. They've removed all of the U-Scan check outs, and the checkout lines are always five or six people deep. It takes at least 1/2 hour to get to the register. The employees at this store are downright hostile. I tried to go in and buy an iPod and couldn't get anyone to help me at the electronics department. The people waiting there said they had been ignored for a half hour, already. I left and went to Target. You would think that WalMart would hire some extra staff so they wouldn't lose potential sales, but they obviously don't care. A really, really badly managed store. read more

Associates here are unprofessional and inappropriate. Girls stocking the makeup section one night were cursing and telling inappropriate jokes in front of customers as if they were alone. There were children around. I understand Walmart is already raggedy as it is, but my god, get it together. Atleast TRY to make your store presentable. And please tell me why there are only ever 2 registers open and a line backed up super far, yet associates are standing around doing nothing and talking to eachother, but no one can open an extra register. Every time I ask for help the associates tell me to go to Target if I want to find what I am looking for. I had one guy cashier tell me ask me out to dinner and when I told him I was happily married, he said he didn't care. I used to work at Walmart for three years in Easley SC and I would never talk to customers like these employees talk to customers. They get away with being rude, unfriendly and the store needs to be clean. I rather drive a few more mikes to Target where their management doesn't tolerate employees being rude to customers. I have visited this Walmart location a few times and have always had a stellar experience. When it comes to product variety, no store beats Walmart. Some folks will say that small local businesses built our economy and added character to our communities. These same complainers will whine and say "cities throughout our country are morphing into a soulless landscape of the same handful of corporations repeated over and over". You know what? I doubt those people would be willing to drive to a bakery for their bagels, a market for their fruit, and then drive to a silly putty store for silly putty. Walmart is a one stop shop. Need a whiteboard and cream corn? One stop. Need a fan, a BB gun, and some condoms? One stop. The aisles are always very clean and the floors are rarely sticky (on the few instances a portion of the floor was sticky, that area was clearly marked). I've heard people complain that not enough cash registers are open but I personally have found this to be beneficial. There is a large number of objects available for one to peruse while waiting in line, and usually I find great products that I would have missed if I'd been promptly checked out. The only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star review, is the location of the shampoo. The shampoo and body wash is located in the cosmetics area of the store which is a long walk from the grocery section. I believe shampoo/body wash should be reclassified and placed in the grocery aisle next to the cleaning supplies or trash bags. read more

DRIVE A COUPLE EXTRA MILES AND GO TO TARGET! THEY ACTUALLY APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!! We have had NUMEROUS TERRIBLE experiences at this store! Employee attitude is down right RUDE!! This is a pathetic excuse for a "superstore". When exchanging a car battery, none of the employees knew where we were supposed to be. We started around back of the store at tire and lube counter, where we were sent to the front customer service desk. At customer service counter the associate helping us had a terrible attitude and only response to us after waiting in line for at least 15 minutes was : "you s'posed to take that to T&L" and proceeded to look at me like I'm stupid. ( like I know Walmart lingo.....) Black Friday, we were on the hunt for a 42" TV. We shopped at Target, KMart, Walmart, Best Buy, etc... At all of these locations EXCEPT Walmart, the employees were extremely motivated and pleasant. Someone ready to help us on every corner. Walmart employee made us feel like we were a hassle when we had to look for them to check if the tv was still in stock. She had an attitude also. Today, I went into Walmart to get my son's Rx filled, and do some grocery shopping. When I was ready to pick up Rx, line was all the way to the main center isle with only one woman at the cash registers. The woman yawned constantly, as if she could care less about what she was doing. Even the other people in line were making comments about her. After standing in line for what felt like an eternity, it was my turn. The cashier asked for the birthday and name... then with an attitude asked if I had insurance. (I presented my insurance information at drop-off counter and watched them enter the information into the computer!) The Rx is expensive, and I replied to the woman that the price was ok. When I swiped my debit card, there was a problem. Immediately I checked my bank account to ensure it was not NSF.... and it was NOT. It was some kind of problem with their machine! I waited my turn in line AGAIN and when I finally made it back to the counter with the insufferable woman, I informed her our account can cover the RX, and asked could she key in the debit card #'s or try the transaction again. Her ONLY response was "NOPE!" I was so infuriated with this experience I told the woman to give my Rx back, left my shopping cart, and vowed to never return to Walmart! Just because they have rollback prices does not give them cause to treat their customers like CRAP! read more

The statistical average of customers at a Walmart store each day is 3,500. That means they save $3,780 a day, $26,460 a week, $1,375,920 per year just at one store assuming each customer spent seven minutes scanning their own purchases. Want some bigger numbers? Wal-Mart can suck it! Went looking for Skylanders for Jason for Christmas. Walmart has Skylanders Swap Force for $37 instead of $75. The Walmart on Pelham was out of stock, so the "helpful" Walmart website asked me if I wanted to find it in stock at another store. Wade Hampton Walmart in Taylors has them. OK fine. Let's go. I show up and I can't find any. The "associate" looks up on her PC and sees that they have 15 in stock, just like the website indicated. But none on the shelves. "They might be on layaways" she tell me. I ask her to go in the back and check. She goes in the back and comes back and says "yeah, we do have 15 but they are for black Friday." I said, well the website and your register said they are "in stock" and it did not say anything about layaway, black Friday or any other BS. Go ask your manager if I can buy one please. She come back and tells me "no." Ever heard of "false advertising" or "bait and switch"? So I went to "customer service" and talked to two other associates who said there was nothing they could do. I told them I would go to Target and they would not see me again. If I wandered in randomly and they were out, that is one thing...but their website directed me to another store to go and buy it. This Wal-Mart needs new management!!! When you ask for help, if you can find help, it appears to be an insult to the employees. They never have enough register's open for the amount of customers going through line. I don't understand with all the bad reviews why Wal-Mart does not do something about this store. I have so many stories I could tell but space will not allow. Most all the employees act lazy and have a care less attitude. You can always see employees standing around doing nothing, when customers need help. It all boils down to poor management. Very rude CSM at this Taylors, SC Walmart.  She stands a little over 5 feet tall.  She was paged over the intercom by another worker.  She belittled everyone she spoke to, including a guy bringing back a return and some other people trying to do returns.
