DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! My so. Paid for an oil change and tire rotation. All they did was rotate the tires and charge him $50. No oil change! Took the car to my mechanic 2 mos later for other issues where they told me the oil was filthy. They said there was no way it was changed within 2 mos. I reached out to wal mart management who could care less. Said the oil was changed end of story. I was floored. I thought they would want a happy customer and would would be willing to at least look at the car, and most likely change the oil. Nope didn't care at all. Do yourself a favor and take your car to someplace where they actually do what you paid them to do. Why is it whenever I enter a Walmart I get really irritated and want to leave after about 10 mins? Is it the young customers that feel they have to have a private argument in a public place? Is it the trashy parents that believe yelling four letter words at their children will teach them proper discipline? Maybe it's the lil kid knocking his shopping cart around like its a bumper car while his mom babbles on her cellphone as she stares at Wet and Wild nail polishes. Alas, this place is a necessary evil. You can find ANYTHING here and it can almost be guaranteed cheaper than anywhere else. The Walmart on the NW side of town is the nicest Walmart I've ever seen (there are some pretty scary ones in CA), hence for what it is, I believe it deserves 4/5 stars. While I pity the Walmart workers whose rights and wages are devoured by this conglomerate, I can't help but want to shop here to take advantage of the prices. *also, my friends in SF are amused that you can buy horse feed and shotguns from my hometown's local neighborhood Walmart. read more

I absolutely had not had any issues at this Wal Mart until just recently. On September 29, 2013 I stopped by the bakery, I needed to order 30 cupcakes for my sons 4th grade class. My experience was dreadful, I was talked down to by the bakery lady(Audrey). She was rude, sarcastic and had an overall bad attitude. My son was very disappointed because this lady was so ugly to us & I cancelled my attempt to place his order. I did speak to the customer service manager by self checkout, she was graceful & attentive. I was appreciative that she showed concern for my negative experience. read more

I've heard of people avoiding Walmart stores in general due to being crowded or for other reasons. This Walmart is across the street from my office, so I do go there often. I actually enjoy it most of the time. I think this particular store is managed pretty well. My experience has been positive. The store is kept clean and I don't get any weird vibes from other shoppers. They have very competitive pricing on various food and nonfood items. One area that is not usually competitive is the fresh produce area (with exceptions if there is a special on an item). They have a large variety of brands. I also get my business calendars there every year, pretty good quality ones. They have a variety of choices and sizes, at great prices. I was just there on "Black Thursday night" (the 10 pm opening of Walmart before Black Friday). They had some killer deals. I had no plan to be one of the frantic shoppers, nor was I attached to getting anything. That's the secret. So, I wasn't a frantic shopper. I quietly went in, knew what I wanted, wound between a very frenetic crowd of shopping carts and people, swooped in for the items, went to the back of the store to get away from crowds, and landed at a cash register with NO line on the other side. Anyway, I do enjoy this Walmart, feel I get a good deal. Yes, they are short on help but when you round someone up, they go out of their way to help. They are real people like you and I, and most of them work hard to make shopping for us more pleasureable. P.S. I visited a Walmart in Shenghai when I was visiting China...talk about a totally DIFFERENT type of store and offerings in the store. Wow! (such as live fish tanks with edible fish that they fish out for you on demand, and cookies sold by the weight and a whole section of very different meaty and fishy foods for take-out meals). read more

This is your typical Walmart with a grocery store inside. The plus side is this is one of the larger Walmarts in the Tucson area. We stopped in here while we were at the Foothills Mall to pick up a couple of things. The store was clean and it was easy to find everything we needed. The only down side was the length of time it took us to check out. Apparently we showed up at the right time. All the self checkout lanes were full and there was a good size line. Of course the other 4 or 5 normal checkout lines were just as packed. Kind of surprising for an early afternoon trip to Walmart. read more

The shelves are always empty, no one seems to be restocking during the day. The aisles are full of the pick up shoppers and they are rude and roll their eyes if you ask them to let you go by. Rebecca is the worst cashier I have ever seen. I know she has been there at least a year and she still doesn't know how to take 2 forms of payment on the same order. I swear she must get paid more the slower she goes so that more people will use the self check out. 2 people ahead of me and 30 MINUTES later I finally get to the cash register. Each customer ahead of me had 10 - 12 items. She double bagged and tied every bag she gave to the customers and only put 2 - 3 small items in each bag. read more

Wow, I gotta say I have never been a firm believer in Walmart. But this location was the nicest one I have ever been in. Their supermarket section rivals my local Whole Foods with freshness of product and cleanliness. I walked the perfectly air-conditioned aisles with french fries in hand (McDonalds also in location), and a smile on my face. If I had not been stretched for time I would have likely stayed longer. I went to check out today at Walmart. Rather than following CDC suggestions they opened two lines, the only two lines out a dozen registers, directly next to each other so there was no way to keep a 6 foot distance apart as suggested. Given this store is frequented by elderly they are doing this community a disservice in trying to prevent COVID-19. I am very disappointed with the major oversight at this point. read more

Every time I shop at this Walmart there is one cashier for the entire store. I guess they expect everyone to use the self check out. It's not very convenient especially when you have a load of groceries in your cart. You would think Walmart could afford to hire a few more cashiers, I guess they are saving a lot of money at the customers expense. read more

Walmart's store layout is much better now that they widened all the aisles and opened up the stores so much; plus they lowered the shelving so you can see better the different signage directing you to the right places within the store. read more

I was here the other day and could not believe how some of the staff treat customers, it started in electronics were I asked either Brandon or brenden (has a bald head) were I could find a case for some flowers. (I looked everywhere in the store before asking) and he replied " I don't know, maybe over there?" As he pointed to home goods, and said it in a beyond rude tone. After that he rolled his eyes and walked away.... also the staff at the front door and rude as could be as well, I walked up and they don't even smile and they say "where's your receipt?" This store has everything you could need under one roof. It has great prices. The bakery isn't great. But its worth going just for the prices.If you see something on sale at another store and its cheaper then you can tell them what the price was and to price match it and they will. This is about no one in charge challenging customers that won't wear masks! Rarely go to WalMart and won't be going back. 2 women walking around without masks and apparently not anywhere on their person. Went to check out, kept the proper distance and 2 customers behind me charge up and start placing their items on the belt. Very nice checker asked them to not place more items in front. Then they said "We're looking for the dividers". Huh? Have they been in a coma for a year? Haven't heard about the pandemic? I nicely said twice "It's about DISTANCE" The cashier explained WalMart hasn't used dividers for months, customers still oblivious! This is the 2nd time customers have rudely not kept their distance at this location. Also Why isn't the mask policy not enforced? Where are the managers? Too many customers rudely pushing their carts around like they're the only ones in the store. Low prices aren't worth the aggravation - I feel bad for hard working employees doing the best they can. I have to say I am always surprised at how helpful and nice many of the employees are here, even more so in the over night shift! My fiancée and I work until late at night so we usually do all our shopping around midnight. The employees are so nice and upbeat even though most of their shifts just started and they are working a not so fun job. There isn't much to set this walmart apart from the others in terms of merchandise, size, or food quality, but employee customer service definitely makes me love that this Walmart is so close! Don't go in expecting rainbows and unicorns, but if your lost and searching for the ice cream cakes, flag an employee down and they usually always are happy to help! And hey, we may even meet, since I'm usually the only one looking for ice cream cake at 1am. read more

So, by a stroke of unfortunate luck (and a set of military orders given to my husband, haha) we live in Tucson again. We now live almost directly behind this store and no.. not a lot has changed. When going to Wal-Mart together--even though we are NOT fans of the chain or the kind of people it seems to attract, we normally go to the one on Cortaro. I happened to have made the mistake of venturing to this one for some of my Christmas shopping last week. I bought all of my items and got in line. I was the second to last person. No big deal, but it would matter later. By the time I got home, I realized my bag of movies was missing. I checked my car, each bag that I'd brought in, and retraced my steps. I couldn't find them, so I called the store. The woman who answered was nice and insisted the Customer Service people would help me with no problems. I went there and dealt with a girl who seemed nice at first, but later made my blood boil along with her co-workers that day. I gave them my receipt and they had no record of a bag that got left with those items. I figured since I was the second-to-last person this cashier helped, maybe the woman after me grabbed the bag by mistake. I figured if this happened, they could check the videotape. So, I stepped to the side and waited while they had an employee disappear with my receipt. After about 35 minutes or so, a girl with drawn in eyebrows (not the same older woman who took off with the receipt) didn't see me sitting on the bench and told the girl I dealt with first that "the lady took those items." It's not what she said, but how she said it and the look they exchanged shortly before this girl came over and treated me like a criminal. By this time, the line had grown and a crowd was watching as this fake-eyebrow girl put on her attitude problem and told me, "You took the bag. You never left your items at the store. You took them and walked out with them." I said, I couldn't have and that I'd checked everywhere. I asked (nicely!--I cannot stress this enough about how I never once gave them any reason to treat me this way) to see the video tape just so I could be sure. This girl said "they" already saw the tape and I walked out with the bag. She said I probably left them in a cart and got sarcastic when I said I didn't take a cart. She sort of rolled her eyes and said, "You carried all those things? You didn't take a cart out?" Obviously, this genius was not the one who reviewed the tapes because I returned the cart before leaving the store. I was fuming by this point, but said nothing. She walked off and I waited for her to come back. She didn't, so I left. I was so angry these people acted like I was a criminal when I was just there because of an honest mistake. I did find the movies mixed in with some items I'd bought from Target. They somehow mixed in the backseat of my car. I would really like to know what they thought I was trying to gain by treating them with respect, staying out of their way, and waiting over half an hour to straighten this out? I assure anyone reading this, I did not intend to scam a mega store like Wal-Mart of one $5 copy of Horton Hears a Hoo. My favorite part of all of this was while I was waiting, I saw them return a TV from a guy who looked incredibly sketchy and had removed part of the barcode needed for return. Completely ridiculous, but I guess this is what I get for coming to this location instead of the other down the road. I will admit that I've been back one time since this and I will say that time I had no issues with the staff and was actually treated nicely by someone in management (or what I gathered was some kind of supervisor by slight difference in uniform) who was helping at the register. So, for that, and that alone, they earned one whole star. read more

I would give them no stars if possible. How anyone gives them more then a 1 star is beyond me. I was accused of stealing. For the record THAT IS ILLEGAL you can't not accuse someone of stealing unless you have seen them take it. The loss prevention employee came out Demanding to see a receipt and when I went to step to the side to set my purse down to search for the receipt he stepped in front of me to stop me from walking out (which I wasn't planning on but had every right to if I wanted, he can not stop me from leaving the store). Of course I had my receipt. He sat there and told me if I didn't have my receipt then I would have to go into his office. Of course when I told him he can't accuse me of stealing unless he seen me (which I knew he didn't because I f**king paid for it) he said "oh I am not accusing you of stealing". Really??? Then what are you doing?? Please enlighten me. Because last I checked coming up and demanding someone's receipt and asking them how they got that item there holding and telling them if they don't find the receipt they will have to go back to his office, is accusing someone of stealing. Did he go to school or not??? He obviously does not know the law. Maybe he was asleep through all of his classes just like he was sleeping or jacking off or whatever he was doing when I walked through the register and paid for my items!!! I went right back to a cashier and returned all my stuff. I have never shopped at Wal-Mart since. I advise everyone else to stop shopping at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is a worthless company who don't value their employees or their customers. That's why they end up with loss prevention employees who don't know their a** from a hole in the ground. So needless to say my goal is to get people to open their eyes to Wal-Mart and there dirty deeds and get them to stop shopping there. I can complain and rant all day but they don't care as long as your giving them money. Reality is there not all that cheaper and they never have any registers open! You can get pretty much everything here. Groceries, hardware, clothing, shoes, electronics, etc. The staff is usually helpful and friendly. There are some areas that need improvement. When they are out of stock on items, it can sometimes take a while before they are replenished. There are never enough checkout lanes open, and the electronic checkouts have a high number that are out of order. read more

Since the Wal-Mart on Cortaro is under remodeling we have been coming to this one and it's pretty similar. The store itself looks a bit older than the one in Marana, but it does have a nice selection of items, both grocery and non-grocery to buy at a cheap price. Also, area is pretty safe and the people here are "decent" compared to other Wal-Marts in the Tucson area (AKA Wetmore Wal-Mart). read more

Put in a grocery pick-up order. Had to pick a date 2 days out due to high demand...okay, I get it. This afternoon, prior to my pick up time, I get an email telling me they cancelled my order!!! No phone call asking if I wanted to reschedule, no other explanation. I click on the button that says "View Order", and guess what....right - my basket is empty! All of my items in my grocery order were deleted. I try calling the store...no answer at ANY of the departments! WTF? I wait on hold for 35 minutes to talk to someone at Walmart Grocery Customer Service, and they can't tell me anything either except the tagline "Due to high demand....". So, they will not call...will not give you an option to reschedule...will not compensate you at all for your inconvenience! Your only option will be to re-do your entire order, and wait another 2-3 days for groceries....or, risk your health and go into the store during a pandemic. Nice. I think people are picking up groceries just fine at other Wal-Marts....and at Fry's, Safeway, and Sprouts. I won't be ordering from this location again. read more

It's Walmart what do you expect? I obviously expected too much from this particular store. Bought an air mattress so that a relative would have a place to sleep when she comes to visit later this summer. Called around and Wal-Mart had the best price and 5 different models. They brought them up to the service desk and we selected one, a queen with its own built in pump. A few days later, decided to make sure it was ok and had no leaks or holes. Looked at the packaging and noticed a lot of tape on it. It did not come from the factory that way and I was afraid that it had been used by someone else and returned. Returned it to Wal-Mart the following day and was allowed to exchange it for another, more expensive air mattress that could also serve as additional seating. I had not shopped the department and didn't know they had them when the original purchase was made. When I paid the difference and also bought a separate pump not included, the csm who rang up the sale wrote " exchange only" across the barcode on the new unopened box...that only had the factory seal tape on it showing no tampering. We questioned it and were told that it was store policy not to return air mattresses. I informed the manager that we hadn't opened it that was opened when we received it. At that point the manager started to play dumb and not understand what I was telling him. That I should not be penalized because someone had open the box and probably used the air mattress that I had purchased in good faith. After a lot of arguing back and forth they finally agreed to exchange the written on box with another of the same make. Being treated like a common Criminal is not cool. Take heed Walmart., you are not the only game in town. There are other places to buy groceries, to buy Sporting Goods, and to get just about anything else you need. I think you have gotten a little too big for your britches and are taking customers for granted. You might want to rethink your customer service skills and training. Awful store. This is located in the nicer part of Tucson and is a real eye sore. The building needs MAJOR maintenance and repairs. It smells awful inside. Waking into the store is like walking into a time machine that takes you back to 1970. The whole area is brought down by this store. Seems like people only want to complain. The heck with them all!!! I want to tell you all that I went to Walmart Automotive dept and discovered there were people there who actually cared about me and my needs. My children ordered a set of tires for my truck last year from Walmart.com. While the tires were B.F. Goodrich they failed after one year. My daughter contacted the manufacturer who said we needed to go to the installation spot. Well Walmart installed them so I went back there. I spoke to the most awesome rep in Julie. I hope I spelled her name correctly. While the entire staff in the automotive department was outstanding, Julie was #1 in my book. I have never been treated so well in my life by any auto related person. All of my tires were replaced in the most expeditious fashion at the best deal anyone could ask for. Julie asked me to get on the phone to have Walmart.com (who are a separate entity from Walmart) to verify the warranty and guarantee that they would be reimbursed for honoring the warranty. Well that is where things went to hell. The people I spoke to said that I needed to get in touch with a third party vendor because Walmart.com did not sell me the tires. I pointed out that my receipt said Walmart.com and not a third party. Basically was told it was unfortunate but the vendor refused to honor the warranty. In my mind that was a walmart.com problem and not mine. I mean aren't you responsible for what is sold under your name? Well I guess Walmart.com doesn't think so. While I was on the phone at the service desk for over an hour, Julie and several other associates witnessed the frustration I was experiencing and reached out to let me know that I could rest easy that they would help me out. So after discontinuing the conversation with the people at Walmart.com AKA we don't care.... I spoke once again with Julie and set up the replacement tire service I needed. I won't reveal the actual deal but suffice it to say I was a very happy camper. While waiting for the tire change I noticed that the picture frame that was supposed to hold the photo of the service department manager was empty. So I told Julie that the next time I come in there that her picture needs to be posted there. So....... to the store manager, if you are really on top of things you will make this become a reality. You are only as good as your staff and with Julie and her team you will be the best. Give her the promotion she so deserves and pat yourself on the back for hiring such an AWESOME person. this WM compared to the one back home is by far the trashy-ish place i have been in. I hardly ever see an employee on the floor to help with your needs. the boys section of pants, well even the whole soft line area, has been a total mess each time we have gone in there. i couldn't even find a pair of pants for my son to try on because they were all just pretty much thrown on the shelf and not put in order. Each time we have checked out the cashier is pretty much rude and pissed off about something, probably having to work at WM, and they pretty much throw the change back at you and don't even say thank you or any of that. I wish they had the self check outs like the one back home so i didn't have to deal with the cashiers. we went on a Sunday and it was hell to even get threw the store there was so many people there and like 5 registers open. on a good day there is like 3-4 open, i would really hate to see this place during thanksgiving-Christmas!! Don't get me started on the bathrooms that look and smell like a bio hazard, some of the stalls are broken and have been for over a month since we moved here. i try to avoid the bathrooms at all cost at this Walmart! read more
