This location has certain healthy food products at far cheaper prices than the Co-Op or Strawberry Fields. Any other grocery store doesn't even carry it. So in spite of any anti-corporate pretenses, my neighborhood Wal-Mart is vital. All employees I've dealt with have been friendly and helpful, and the grumpy few at least have a good sense of humor about it. I ordered a custom cake for May 15, 2026. I ordered it a month earlier, and separately brought a photo to be screened on top of the cake. When I picked up the cake, there was no photo. Totally blank! They had my phone number, they could've called me if the photo was lost, they could've done something. They did nothing except deliver me one ugly cake. Frankly, I'm very confused. Both Jaz, the associate I spoke with, and Patrick the cake decorator I spoke with seemed very nice and very knowledgeable, so what the heck happened? The Black lady that's always there in the morning up front operation ,where they help you out if something goes wrong with the cash register! She's there literally ( always) like she needs a laxative,seriously!! No smiles,no welcoming no have a nice day! All you see coming from her are sad,angry frowns!! This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used! I'm unable to drive and always call and make sure my prescriptions are ready. I paid someone to pick up my medications after confirming they were ready and could not get meds because they had a service issue with running ins although one prescription was able to be run and one was not.They refuse to run it through ins said they had other people to help and to come back tomorrow.This was at 5:00 pm on a Friday. they were rude cost me 30.00 to pick up meds, just completely ridiculous! this is how older people can't afford to live due to extra added charges for just being lazy! read more

Today, I was just about run down by a teenage Wal-Mart employee headed out to retrieve carts. I scolded him for his bad manners, and he told me to "shut up, bitch". Wow. The employees here need basic training in manners and etiquette before being let loose on the floor. They need to understand that they are subordinate to all customers, and that they must yield to customers on the floor. I often visit Wal-Marts when traveling. Some are staffed with pleasant, polite people. This particular store is a nightmare - bad employees and, clearly, ineffective management. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this poorly managed WalMart one winters day a couple years ago. I had been in a horrible accident and had a broken knee and a broken collar bone. There was only one power chair, and it was covered in snow. I hobbled to the customer service desk and asked only for a towel, so that I could dry the snow off the power chair. The manager became irate. She yelled at me! It was very embarrassing. Once I got the paper towels and tried to shop I realized that the items were stacked so high in this store that I couldn't reach or even see most things. Also the isles were crowed with random displays and products. This made it impossible to access many whole sections of the store. I finally just went to a better store. Clearly Walmart doesn't want people who have trouble walking to shop at their stores. I hear you loud and clear WalMart. Trust me. Why else would you put people through this and treat customers like this? Its obvious that you have designed this and every other store in a way that no person with mobility issues can shop at your stores. It is beyond inconsiderate when your manager is yelling at the customers because they asked for a towel. Also I remember seeing a man in wheel chair wheeling himself franticly out of this store a few months before this had happened to me. Turns out he was frantic because the manager was towing his van from a handicap spot. From what I could gather. His handicap placard had fallen and was laying on the floor instead of hanging from his mirror. I guess that was reason enough for this manager to tow this handicap man's van! That's really mean! But I guess that's one of many reasons why I am not a fan of WalMart any more, especially this one! read more

WORST customer service. Had to call 3 times to find out if they had a certain shampoo. First time I was disconnected, second was put on hold for over 20 minutes because the department wasn't answering, third, had to call from another line while on hold with the other call to actually find out the answer to my question. When I called the Walmart on Prospect they answered my question within a minute. read more

So I'm at Walmart buying tires for my car. And when checking in they will be able to put them on they said not until Tuesday. When I spoke with them yesterday they had given me Sunday as the date that they would be able to put them on but when I came in they said they were booked up until Tuesday. There is an employee here by the name of Maryland Who is working the front desk taking my order. She checked to see if there may have been any cancellations on tomorrow but they won't she didn't looked at me and said could I have my car here at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and I said yes. She canceled her appointment for her vehicle so that I may get mine done! Great customer service let's give them to me and I'm very appreciative. Way to go Marilyn! I thank her and I praise God for blessing me with favor! Karman is the service manager and is the most pleasant manager that I've ever dealt with in automotive! She represents the automotive department at Walmart very well! read more

Even when the lines are back to the isles they don't open more registers. Staff are usually friendly but management needs a lesson in customer service. Had to send my son to the parking lot to get a trolley since there were none inside and when I just politely told the cashier I found he was uninterested. read more

This is the first review I have ever written. I purchased a cricut scrapbooking machine from walmart in urbana IL, I cannot for the life of me find the darn reciept I can't use this machine because it won't work with sure cuts alot. Well anyway I went to take it back and I figured it would be like every other store that keeps track of what you buy with your debit card, so I go in the return lady was so nice but she said she had to get a CSM (whatever that is) this women comes up and goes I'm not taking that back! You need to know the exact day you bought it. I'm like really anyway Im stuck with this nonfunctional machine, And the lady was as rude as she could be. read more

This review is specifically directed to the lack of competent management in the Automotive Center. My mother arrived in the auto center to have her tires checked after the tire pressure warning alerted her on the way home from work. After being told it would take a half-hour, 45 minutes later the guy who should have been working on her car, was still ringing up rude patrons who bring clothing and groceries to the automotive center and expect to be checked out. One woman had no automotive items, and claimed, 'I don't want to go up front. It's too busy up there!' So, she inconvenienced an entire department of 1 employee and patrons who have no other option of what department they receive service from. This cow of a woman could check out up front; where else can we get our cars serviced? In the Deli? The Pharmacy? Electronics? No! The auto center is THE ONLY PLACE where cars can be serviced-and barely, according to their eff'ed up policy of checking everyone out! After contacting the manager twice, nothing was done to send a cashier so the gentleman could do his real job-work on the automobiles! Thus, he continued to check people out. The management is ridiculous and this store is always short staffed. There is no common sense. read more

Sometimes when you show up first thing in the morning for auto work, you get right in and out. But not at Walmart Tires and Lube Plus in Urbana. With only one other person in front of me for an oil change (which I later found out took an HOUR AND A HALF from the time she arrived, since they didn't open at the posted time!), I figured it wouldn't take long since I was just getting my wheels balanced. Unfortunately, there was only 1 tech working, so I had to wait until the oil change was finished before they even started on mine! The price ended up being a couple bucks cheaper than most garages, but the wait totally negated that. Good thing I brought some reading material along and killed some time shopping for a couple items. Most garages take their sweet time on jobs but this was ridiculous! read more
