Honestly, the experience here was nothing to write home about. It's Walmart--you get what you need and you get out--but the vibe always feels heavy. I walk around and I genuinely feel bad for the employees. It doesn't look like anyone is having fun or feels supported. You get this overwhelming 'Corporate America' feeling that everyone here is just being treated like a number on a spreadsheet rather than a human being. It's hard to get great service when the culture feels so mechanical. The staff deserves better, and frankly, so do the customers. read more

I started hitting Walmart's (ie - "Wallyworld!") when COVID struck and other usuals were too expensive. My daughter brought us here today for Halloween party goodies. She got everything that she was after, of course! I "accidentally" spent damned $111, but was truly in need of the bedding, toiletries, sour cream, and dog food that I bought! I did NOT need yet another happy faced (collecting since childhood!) item! And a tumbler at that?!!! Employees were MIA, but this isn't anything new for this franchise. Don't GOT TO THIS WALMART they don't have any bags however the shop from home workers have about 20 each so if you go in to shop there make sure you bring your bags also I am an instacart worker I had an order for 40 items they were sold out of 19 items they don't even have paper towels in the bath room and then the manager told me that they order 5000 bags and they sold out witch is bs because I shop there about 4 times a day and they have not had bags for over a week this store will go bankrupt if they don't change there ways hope I could help the public. I have no idea what's going on in this store. I had an incident there 3 weeks again. Tried 4 times to talk to the store manager. He's never there. One time, a male called me back on a female's cell phone but said he wasn't the manager. The guard in the 15 and under self check out threatened to stop my order because I was over 15 items. I'm disabled and I was parked by that entrance. They had 10 empty cashier lanes, and I got threatened to have my order stopped. No one from corporate calls you back. That store is a joke, and everything is under lock and key. read more

I am shocked at how dirty your store is at Cooper St. Woodbury nj the freezers are never working, the clothing department is very diorganized and the was dirt on the floors. I have notice this store going downhill now for a while. I will not be shopping here any more. read more

What is with businesses not answering their phones lately?...Now I have to go all the way there just to find my answer.

Today's experience at the Walmart on Cooper Street in Woodbury NJ was beyond annoying. Other than the store being out of items, some items were on the top shelf out of reach. One of the items was cream of chicken soup. The spot on the lower shelf where the sign was for cream of chicken soup was empty. I asked a Walmart employee who was in the aisle if there was a step ladder to reach the item. She said "I don't know" and stood there while I tried to reach the item. After a couple minutes, she walked away. Please tell your employees that "I don't know" is not acceptable. She should have said let me check or went to get someone. read more

Ok, I really had no choice ... none whatsoever because this would not have been my option for an extensive list of personal reasons. However on this Sunday there I was ... pulling the car (It wasn't even my car but I was driving and perhaps therein lies the true cause for this journey.) into the parking lot of a Wal-Mart SUPERSTORE. I might as well put the bias right up front ... I do not shop at WAL MART's; ever! I am sure that one can read the story of the Waltons and I am talking Sam not John-Boy to arrive at a satisfactory understanding of my avoidance of the chain in all of its manifestations. There is a physical ad version to entering through the doors into the massive expanse dedicated to destroying America's small store operators especially in middle America where generational small family businesses were eliminated thanks to Sam's six gun approach to business operations. Oops, that was perhaps an unnecessary diversion from this review. This WAL Mart has a HUGE PARKING LOT .... if you can't find a clearly designated parking space then you have other issues in life. Walking in I spotted the infamous WAL-Mart greeter. Her name was Sharece and I said 'Hi Sharece' before she could get a word out from her smiling face. She said 'you said my name and pronounced it correctly.' Now, does that mean most WAL-Mart customers are so unfriendly not to greet the greeter by name? After all these employees have HUGE (This is my theme word of the review btw) name tags that clearly provide the employees' names (A practice every customer service oriented business should consider copying. Darn, that was a complement for Sam's business model ... not his conquest practices just his respect for those who enter through the Walton family doors.). We talked for a few moments and I guess very few customers ever return the greeters warm welcome ... but they are there to buy and see that little guy knock the prices off signs lowering the prices (I didn't see that during this thankfully very short visit but I remember the commercials clearly.). This store's interior is HUGE ... I entered at the grocery end of the store and frankly was impressed by the HUGE choices although a close look at the quality of the produce especially the overly inflated bags that indicated extended shelf residency provided a warning that I was at a SAM SHOP. It is easy to get lost in this HUGE store that appears to have a minimal number of employees available to help customers but watching the lemmings ... oops, regular customers ... they seemed to be on a massive slow paced journey through all too familiar aisles. The vast majority of the customer base looked the same ... moved the same ... and all seemed to have memorized the floor pattern to access the items desperately needed for their existence. The shelves appear to have been unattended by WalMart employees with a consistent scattering of cans, boxes, and bagged goods into areas in which they didn't reside. There were moments that I sensed I was in the midst of the filming of that popular AMC Sunday evening television series ... the sounds, the visuals, and the visages of the folks ... Yes, I was checking my back. In fact, when I had a question and spotted an employee she looked through me with a vacant gaze as she politely answered my question with a 'you know where the freezers end ... you know where the registers begin ... you know ... you do know, right? You are one of us ... of course you wouldn't be here otherwise ... you'll find it there.' She then stretched out to look over the top of the shelf unit that her shelf stocking ladder was leaning on. Yes, my item was there ... on a messy shelf ... but it was there and I spotted the nearby registers and had passed the freezers end ...' I made a rush to the registers .... I had to get out. So, I pull up to the register only to discover a man who could easily have been my helpful shelf assistant's brother. Same look only this time with a wide open mouth that smiled back at me .... his first words "You must be excited about the return of the THRONES.' Uh ... me? You talking to me? Now, I didn't have a GAME of THRONES nor HBO t-shirt on. What was it in my look that made me appear to be a regular reader of the Whispers of Westeros? So, I added to the conversation as he passed my items through the scanner ... asking me questions about my thoughts on the show. Thank goodness I have a background in published writing and was able to pull up my creative cranial regions to provide affirmation to his inquiries with apparently satisfactory responses that encouraged him to continue the conversation through those .... those teeth of his. As I rushed to the door .... I looked back. Dr. Eugene? Was it ... could it have been? So THREE STARS for having a HUGE STORE with a HUGE inventory (If you can find your way around it.). Three stars for the awesome greeter ... mysteriously she had vanished from her post before I rushed away! read more

Absolutely worst customer service tonight. Waited a full hour for a propane exchange. 30 minutes from when I checked out before a co manager came over to see me then another 30 minutes before being given a refund. With a few interactions with associates in between. Definitely will never be going back to this Walmart ever again. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever dealt with!!! If you select to pick up a food order, guaranteed it will be 2 to 3 hours late!! They will text you a message 2 minutes before the order is suppose to be ready, and tell you it's running late after you have already left the house to pick it up. I use to live in Turnersville New Jersey and never had these problems with the Walmart there that I have in Woodbury New Jersey Cooper Rd., Walmart Don't waste your time, you will be sitting in the parking lot for 2 + hours waiting for your food, NOT WORTH IT!!! read more

Call four, I tried pharmacy. They answer said that people were calling yesterday complaining nobody was answering the phones. Yet today they are still not answering. On July 1 st at around 3:45pm, I went to register #2 which was covered in dirt. It looked like someone had spilled potting soil on it. When I asked the kid behind the register to wipe it down before I put my food down; he told me he didn't have any wipes and stood stupidly looking at me . Worst place ever! read more

The "Speedy Checkout" line was the slowest line out of the 3 options. Stood in line for 20 minutes, while the cashier was ringing up folks with more than the the "20 items or less only" limit. Other longer lines were getting checked out much faster than the "Speedy Checkout" line, and they had many more items. Store was also pretty filthy. Should have driven the extra couple of miles to go to the Walmart a town over. Lesson learned. Get more cashier, or ones with more experience, or a self checkout option like some of your other locations. read more

This place seriously stinks! We were testing a product that meant to be tested. The girl that wasn't even in uniform came up to us and started yelling at us for no apparent reason. She kicked us out right away when we didn't do a thing. I asked to speak to the manager and she didn't allow me too. I highly do not recommend this store. read more
