I stopped in this location on a whim during a road trip between NJ and Delaware. Despite the huge space, it's a little outdated. Perhaps, I arrived when the staff was on break because the store was pretty much empty. I was able to get what I intended and self-checkout was a breeze. Convenience for the win! read more

I used the app to place a grocery delivery, they took my money and then I waited over 24 hours for my order which never came. I spoke with a total of 6 representatives and was told by one of them I could change to pick up, only to be told after that, that I couldn't do pick up and then my order was cancelled without my consent and then was told I wouldn't get my money back for 10 days. I will NEVER use the Walmart app or even go inside and give them my business again. Not to mention I did try calling the store and it took literally 32 calls for someone to pick up the phone. Mediocre "Wallyword." The nice cashier a stone's throw from the self check out area we were about to wait in, happily took us to rubberneck the crazy line. I thanked her, and said "they're slow" (meaning the customers in self check out) and she said "yes I'd be in trouble if I were" and showed me on her work cell "thingy" that our transaction was too slow and she got a literal thumb's down! Pressure at THIS job?!! Are you serious - WALMART cashiers?!!! And did this JUST start? Normally the lines are super slow w/ a lack of (slow) cashiers, with seemingly no care or recourse for their lack of interest / customers OR speed! I got cute Hershey Valentines for my kids that I was happy with. All else was the usual "lovely" status quo. Horrible place. False advertising. Goes against own store's policies. Rude staff. Wow....oh wait it gets better. We were trying to exchange an air mattress within the 90 day exchange policy with or without a receipt, they wouldn't let me exchange it. Then the MANAGER followed my husband around because they were trying to pin him for stealing the air mattress that we literally walked in with!!!!! Wow that was horrible. read more

I have been going to this store all my years and i have noticed something VERY WRONG here! Buyer beware when buying items on sale in the marked down damaged items sale section. Every single time i buy something because it's on sale the price is never changed to the price on the rack! This caused a huge problem for me Christmas shopping and just last week i got a bug spray that said 3 bucks sure enough it comes up 9 bucks and after being looked at like im a liar for telling them the 3 dollar price this manager walked to the rack and comes back and says sir...i can do 8 bucks! This walmart clearly steals customer money with this scam! Like i said buyer beware of this scam and watch giving business to stores who expect big profit and treat customers badly like WALMART! read more

Ordered a book online and selected "free ship to store" as opposed to paying for shipping . Took about a week to arrive at the Cooper St location and I received an email letting me know it was ready for pickup. Went in about 3 pm on a weekday and went to the counter designated for "online order pickup". There was a man in front of me in line waiting to pick up a shed. There was another line for customer service nearby that was about 10 deep. There were also 2 irate women at the photo kiosks behind me trying to get someone's attention because there was a malfunction of some sort. I felt sorry for the girl working at that counter because she was on her own and clearly overwhelmed. I'm not even going to get into what I witnessed over the holidays at their layaway counter. Just happened to be passing by and caught an earful of it. Don't think I will ever use that there. Long story short, I spent 45 minutes at the Walmart picking up a book I ordered online. I mean heck I could have paid the shipping charges to have it delivered to my house, or I could have gone to Barnes and Noble and paid twice as much for it. I guess you get what you pay for? At Walmart it seems like low prices = lack of service. read more

I have to agree with a post by someone from 2013--- am also tired of people begging for money outside. I am happy they have a pretzel factory in there now though-- kind of it makes worthwhile when I have to go in. The return line is always long. The garden area is nice and it seems like no one is ever there.. which is good if you're looking for a quiet place and don't need help with anything. read more

I don't shop at Walmart typically but my mom does. I went to return pants my mom purchased at 11:30am in August 3rd and the line for returns was 10 customers deep & slow as molasses. Omg!! This place is a zoo, never mind the clientele but let's talk about the stocking of food. I roamed the isle for my weekly grocery shopping trip to come to the realization that Walmart has ran out of food. The produce section was empty and what was there was already spoiled, the meat department was emptied, the seafood department actually had food in it. As I walked the rest of the isles I looked for anything that I normally buy but no luck. I ended up going to shop-rite just to finish shopping. read more

Wouldn't have expected the level of customer service I received when I did. Jessica Allen, and the supervisor Kolleen, went above and beyond to make sure that the purchase I made tonight was the best possible scenario. They matched a price for an item found on Walmart.Com which greatly benefited someone else. They cared about doing what was right and took the extra time to make sure that everything was correct. Although I was in a rush, they took the time to do what was right and did their job with considerable respect. While I didn't get the best price I found online, they gave me the best price their policy allowed. The best price doesn't always mean the best deal, these ladies did what was right and their service was appreciated. Thank you again! read more

There is always some scam going on at this store with beggars out front bothering customers on their way in and on the way out asking for donations. Store was dirty and not very well stock, But, There were plenty of workers standing around. Maybe I shouldn't call them workers. Because if they were, The store would be more customer friendly and not in such a mess and nasty. read more

I'm in there all the time. One of the things I do not like is if you go after a certain time there are only 1 or 2 registers open which causes long lines. There are no express lines open so you can be in line for a while even if you only have a few things. Other than that it is usually my go to store read more

I always go to this walmart and everytime it's always a pain. Most of the time they never have what I'm looking for or they do but not the amount I need. It's like they don't keep the shelves stocked ever. And you can go back a few days later and it'll still be empty. The associates always seem too busy to be bothered when you ask them a question, so I try not to ask anybody anything. Then when you get to the registers there's always lines. They never have enough lanes open so you're forced to stand there and wait. Its ridiculous to have employees standing around talking when you could have more registers open to help your customers. read more

My visit to this Walmart was AMAZING. I walked in at 3am and still got treated wonderfully . I needed to try on some bathing suits bc I have a beach trip and did not get done work until around 1am . They had this lady terri (she is the only reason I'm even writing a review bc I never do! )!She helped me try on my bathing suits and even let me know which ones looked good . The changing room wasn't even supposed to be open but she took her time out to help us .( after making sure the manager was ok with it ) She is THE BEST customer service worker I have EVER had. I'm so lucky she was there and I think this lady deserves a raise . I have never had a more phenomenal trip to Walmart in my life bc of her. If you need help with anything ask her!!!! She's the best . She made my long night end on a wonderful note. read more

I like this Walmart better than other locations available to me. The store itself is usually clean and organized more so than the Deptford location around the corner. The biggest draw back with location is their customer service and in store pick up counter. You always wait at least 20 minutes for customer service and the staff always seems overwhelmed. The in store pick up option needs some major work. I used the system twice now and both times I waited over 30 minutes to pick up my item. Next time I will pay the shipping costs and avoid this all together as it is not worth it to me. They need to hire more people for customer service and train the staff better on the in store pick up process. read more

The store is ok, fairly clean and prices are great. Good location, less trafiic than the one in Deptford. However, the cashiers are as miserable as can be and the staff is extremely unhelpful. I wanted to get my neice a Smithsonian Rock Polisher for Christmas but could not find it. I asked an employee and she shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know". I asked another employee and she looked at me like I was crazy. She said " I never heard of that." Finally, I asked a 3rd employee and he said "Probably in the craft section." Finally, I gave up and just looked for it myself. Luckily, I found it. I did some more shopping then went to check out. I had 19 items in my cart ( which I counted) and proceeded to the 20 items or less express lane. At the counter I grabbed 2 candy bars and a pack of lighters (my mistake apparently). The cashier ELAINE, an older grumpy woman, started grabbing my items while she huffed and puffed. She said "ya know....this line is for 20 items or less!" I took the 2 candy bars and put them back. I said "there...is that better?" As she was bagging my items and putting them on the turnstile she said " you need to grab these bags because I dont have room. This lane is 20 items or less." It took all I had not to grab every item out of the bags and count them for her just to prove that I did not go over 20. I work in retail, and let me tell you, if I ever acted the way these people act to our customers, I would be out of a job. read more
