I'm one of those dinosaurs that still collects movies. Tuesday is the day that movies come out 99% of the time. Like most folks I like to get my movies on release date. Well, this time, I was actually a day late and went on a Wednesday. Not that it really matters with this location, I've been here many times to pick up movies and almost always have been disappointed. However, they've usually been able to rectify the situation. Go in the back, find the box, and pull the movie out that I need so I can buy it. Last night I went in to buy Antman & The Wasp Quantimmania, A wide release movie that everybody would probably have multiple copies of. I walked up to the familiar nearly empty new release rack. The newest movies released on it were from three weeks ago, the rest, empty spots. They had tags for AM&TWQ but nothing there. I grab the nearest employee who pretty much just gave me a simple shrug she then flagged down a "shift leader" Who explained to me that? The movies were somewhere in the back and that she didn't know where they were and was unwilling to go look for me. As I've said in the past I've gone here seen movies. Not out flagged down an electronic department employee who's simply went back and grab the movie for me so this was not out of not knowing where things. Are she was just being lazy and didn't want to help a customer. I went to the front desk and talked to the manager on duty who sat back. There apologized and said he would discuss it at the morning meeting not once. Did he think to get up off his ass and go on the back and look for the movie. So why went to the Target down the street gave them my money instead. Last night was my last stop at Walmart in Woodbury. I'll just drive a little further and go to west saint paul or hudson wisconsin where they actually have the merchandise I want and competent employees. read more

I came in tried to ask for a price match on an item in store based on a price on Walmart.com. No one wanted to price match the item. Associate at register sent me to customer service. Current person at customer service passed me to another associate who then passed me to the current manager on duty. The current manager on duty did not want to price match and stated that they don't price match the website and that they (assuming corporate) had stopped for as long as she could remember. She attempted to pass me along to the previous manager who was already clocked out. Precious shift Manager would not help and attempted to say she can't help me. I left because no one wanted to help. Why are you in customer service if you don't want to help customers and then make me feel stupid and shitty like I'm bothering you. Worker, MARS at the customer service desk. there were no other customers and you clearly just hate people and were so rude by brushing me off not once or twice but three times. usually, I let things go, but I've had a horrible day and I still have to deal with this simple question about my order which you could have done without the attitude. I was nice at first, I had told you that i was confused and that this was my first time ordering something for pickup and I was still trying to wrap my head around the whole process that walmart has. but no, you made me feel shitty when i was already beat down earlier. I think I would normally give this Walmart 5 stars but the last time I was in they were doing some massive construction that was very disruptive to the shopping experience. Went to Walmart in Woodbury today to get some baby items and groceries. Proceeded to do self check out as they only had 1 lane with a worker opened. I bagged and scanned all my items. There was a lady at the door to check receipts which is totally fine. However she wasn't checking anyones receipts until I walked up. I gave her my receipt she started unloading all my bags and found I had scanned and paid for everything she just stood there I asked if I was good to go, she rolled her eyes and said whatever. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you can't trust your customers to do your job and check out their own items then open lanes with workers. The store felt very dirty and unorganized. Looks like I'll be going back to doing my shopping at target. read more

Pretty sad that this Walmart has been getting bad reviews for years and it still seems to be one of thee worst Walmarts I have ever visited. I did their online pick up order. The man did not confirm my items with me, just placed them in my car and closed my trunk. so I got home and noticed I was missing half of my items. I called them within 10 minutes of leaving asking if they forgot some of my bags. They stated there was nothing they could do since it shows I already picked up my order. They said they would have a manager call me, I still haven't heard back from them and I still am missing half of my items. Don't use their online ordering, it's a scam. read more

Yesterday I got off work at 4:30, went home to my wife who just had shoulder surgery so really can't function. I made sure she was ok then went to the Woodbury Walmart. I needed batteries for my Automobile Remote Start Fob and also for my weight scale. I went to electronics in back of store and an associate told me to check up front by register 9. I located the batteries in middle of main front aisle by the last cash register. I noticed that the batteries I wanted were there and security locked to prevent theft. My wife texted,wanted a couple other things so I got me a hand basket. I got Pep O Mint Lifesavers, lime and orange flavored jello, some snack cakes, 2 large cans Hormel Chili w/beans. 1 pound of shredded cheddar cheese. Then I carried this in my basket went back to the batteries, there's a sign indicating to see associate on the batteries I wanted (lithium 3V 2016 and lithium 2032. So I'd been here about 1/2 hour at this point. I noticed an employee in womens clothing and asked her for help, she followed me back to the batteries told me she could not help but she saw another female employee working near register, asked her something then they both went away. I thought they were getting me help. I stood there for 25 minutes at the batteries. Then I went to customer service, I was asked if I was returning stuff, I said no told him I was trying to purchase batteries but could not find help to get the locked batteries off the pegs. He said someone should be coming so went back to the batteries, waited about 25 more minutes. I flagged down a girl who works at Pharmacy and she said she would page management for me. I heard the page and waited an additional 10 minutes, the girl came back and asked if I had been helped, I said no, then she said she would page again from the pharmacy, I followed her to pharmacy, she paged, I waited, then she paged again stating this was a repeat page, I waited some more. I was getting pretty angry at this point. I had been in the store for over an hour and a half just to buy a few items and some batteries. I thanked the girl, took my basket (which was really getting heavy) to the customer service desk and told the guy here's your stuff I'm not buying it. He could not believe no one helped me. Since I spent so much time at the store I didn't get to cook dinner for my wife, I had to stop and get fast food on the way home. I was only going to buy a couple batteries and some snacks. I worked retail for 18 years at a large similar store and I've heard all the horror stories about bad customer service but it happened to me. I plan on stopping here today to see a manager. I want some payback. Somebody had to be in charge last night and I want whoever to be held accountable. read more

Ordered a custom photo book and let me tell y'all something! It took some time to locate but we found the book. Part of the pictures were upside down, there were people we didn't even recognize in the upside down pictures, AND a two year calendar. It wasn't too shabby... but definitely not what we ordered haha. They lady quickly fixed the order (within 10 minutes) and I was on my way! Maybe a little QC is needed for the in house orders. Additionally, the cover is a little shoddy as well. I'll probably just take the time to order one from a more reputable establishment in the future. read more

First off I don't go to Walmart. I hate Walmart, think they're an evil corporation who employ illegal immigrants all the while putting on a conservative front. Plus they're anti-union and that means they're anti-my family. Our grandmother gifted us a set of tires before we moved back to MN. We had the road hazard and defect replacement warranty. The tech was rude, it was a huge debacle. we almost got into a fist fight. I will never set foot in this store again. The manager came out and couldn't have been nicer and fixed what was needed but only because I would not leave until they held up their end of our paid for contract. Bad employees in the tire center. This Walmart has to have THE WORST system of lines I have ever had to contend with. You can almost guarantee that you will have to wait for at least 10 minutes even if you are buying a pack of gum. I've shopped here on a Thursday evening before and had to wait over 40 minutes in a line. This is outrageous. It seems like you either get ridiculously long lines or just jump straight to the front. You can never tell. Aside from the lines, this store is actually pretty good. They have a good selection of electronics, home good as well as recreational goods. Their clothing section is pretty large too. Its in a nice location right off the freeway too. Their food section is kinda small but always well stocked (actually thats a lie - fruit can be hit or miss) and ive been able to find items here which arent at other Walmart stores too. The lines were super long , so went to self check out. I needed assistance because some items did not need gift receipt. After a long wait finally a person came to help. The knowledge was minimal, and ended up ringing the whole order without gift receipt. Could not cancel order and restart - And the only way to rectify was to go to returns to return items I just bought... and of course the guy was new and nobody around to help him. He would just go in the back and hide. A quick transaction turn into over an hour . He was able to return but not ring again with gift receipt and I walked out finally without merchandise. I went somewhere else to make my purchases. I agree with others, this store was a pigsty- crap everywhere- the lack of employees in general and especially knowledgeable ones. ... The Walmart in Woodbury has the absolute worst customer service. I have never waited less than 30 minutes at customer service when i have a return or anything else. As a matter of fact, I am waiting in the line now. Been through 2 people in 20 minutes with only one person working (I have never seen more than 1 person working the customer service desk!) Yet I have seen at least 10 other employees standing around. Ridiculous! Needless to say I avoid Walmart Like the plague, only come when there is something I HAVE to get there. I had such a bad experience at Walmart. I had called up Walmart to ask if they had rainbow flags for pride and I was greeted by a very disrespectful lady over the phone that told me that she didn't even know if that was a thing (as if I didn't look up on line before calling and I just wanted to make sure they were in stock because the website said they sold them in stores) she was very unhelpful and I felt very belittled by the experience. After her saying that she didn't know where it would be and that she can't help me (also as if she couldn't just look it up in the system) I decided to go into the store so I could find it myself and went up to another worker who also greeted me with disrespect after I asked her where I could find the pride section by dismissing me and pointing to a random part of the store and not responding to my question. I eventually did find the pride section but they didn't not have any pride flags like they stated online. Overall, this was not what I expect to run into during pride month and especially on the day of the pride festival in Minneapolis that afternoon. Walmart, do better. read more

I really give Walmart ZERO stars. Walmart is horrible. I would rather pay double the money at Target and never shop at Walmart again. Recently, I went there on Black Friday and there was no staff in the garden center or toys. While at Target there is million staff members to help you out. I want to finally be able to give the Woodbury Location a well deserved 4 stars. I waited under I completed 3 shopping experiences before I wrote this review. I was pleasantly surprised I was greeted by employees as they passed or if I was in their area, we were asked if we needed any help. The employees actually smiled and thanked us for shopping. Sorry Walmart-this is more specifically for your automotive dept. I came in to ask about replacing one tire. That claimed they could only replace all 4 tires and I said well I only need one and I sadly can't afford to do all 4 at the moment. I said no... Although I know that you can't maybe warranty (?) while selling me one, I have purchased one tire before and have signed off knowing that it's "not recommended." He was like well, I don't know about that. So he kept saying this is your option. Everyone is going to tell you this and you can't buy just one! Me: watch me... I leave. I call discount tires. Receive EXCELLENT customer service and spent LESS than what Walmart was going to charge per tire. I also was able to get one. Don't be scammed! read more

So, I went online to order a few pictures and then I wanted to pick them up at Walmart in Woodbury,Mn. I kid you not, I did not see a employee that worked for them in the Photo Center or the Electronics for over 15 min. I pressed the Red Help button 5 times and a lady was asking for help over the loud speaker for help in the Photo Center.. but no one came! Finally a worker came over by the electronic area and she came out of the back room with a stack o DVD's... I said to her I have been waiting over 15 min and she didn't even say she was sorry. Went in for an oil change. Bays were empty and there were no other customers when we arrived at noon. Our car wasn't ready until 2:00. When we asked the technician why it took two hours for a simple oil change, he had the nerve to lie to our face and said it was because there were a lot of cars in. A different employee said when the manager is gone, they work on their own time. read more

Auto Care Tires: purchased tires for my car. The tire auto center isn't very noticeable you are going to need to go around the back to find it, they don't even have signs to help direct you. Andrew helped me and he was very friendly, keeping me up to date on my car. read more

It's Walmart, they are all pretty much the same as far as products offered. I find that compared to other Walmarts, this location is kept quite clean and the customer service has always been great. As of right now they are in the process of adding a bakery,and deli. This has resulted in the clothing section being very crammed together and kind of tough to navigate through. I am sure this will change once everything is set up. read more

I called this store three times today -- got put on hold by the first two times before asking for a manager the third time. (First I got put on hold for a long while -- 8 minutes. No big deal. I hung up and called back. The electronics associate asked if he could put me on hold once again, which is when I said no. He said, "Sorry, but I have three lines of people here that I'm trying to help." I said, "Thanks, nevermind," and hung up. I called back and got the manager instead, who helped me with no problems. (Co-Mgr. Josh for the WIN!) Now, I used to work at this particular store, so I understand that they are always short-staffed and that the lines are always long (to no fault of the store employees). However, I quit here two years ago, and it's disappointing that they are still allowing that store to be run the way it is. Troy (the store manager) needs to be encouraged to seek other employment. Maybe then the store can earn a higher rating. read more

Worst Walmart ever. Long lines, 2 cashiers open while 5 staff members standing around trying to get people to use self check out so walmart does not have to pay for staff. After waiting almost 20 minutes in photos -and there were several other people waiting to be helped back in the electronics area - the manager told me to "just wait!" they were helping a customer! And there was three Walmart staff there at one cash register!!! Eventually they send an associate to help and his name is Ryan - this is the third time Ryan has been sent to help me - maybe they need to make Ryan the Manager! Thought I would give their auto center a chance so I went there to buy some tires.Horrible experience. Called them that morning, told me they were wide open. Got there and only one other car in bay. Quoted me 45 minutes. Came back in about 50 minutes. Car was not even started on! Took them over an hour and a half to complete a simple mount and balance of TWO tires. Rude and uncaring technicians. I recently went to this Woodbury location to pick up some cupcakes and party favors for my daughters birthday. I parked and entered through the garden center, as I normally do for quick in and out trips. I went to check out and waited in line as the woman before me checked out, mid her transaction, the pukey cashier (Brandon) looked up at me and asked what I was waiting for! Really?? I asked if he was closing down or something, he said nope, super snotty....then went on to complain to me how he don't know why people think they can check out back in the garden center and as he's b*tchin' tipped my whole container of pre-ordered cupcakes-smashing them-I told him I didn't want to purchase them any longer he then rolled his eyes and "pssthed" me and told me I had to go use the normal checkout lanes in the store-He had rang up all of my items already...I left and went to Super Target across the street, better service & better cupcakes. Never will I ever go back, unless it's to meet this pimply face f*** out in the parking lot. read more
