Walmart on Foothill: A Study in Retail Absurdity This morning's visit (6:00 a.m. - 6:30 a.m.) to the Foothill Walmart was less a shopping trip and more a frustrating lesson in organizational failure. I encountered three separate associates regarding a simple task, and after a 20-minute wait, I received nothing but vague assurances and an utter lack of assistance. The store appears to employ an entire staff dedicated to the art of evasion. The prices may be low, but the cost to one's time and sanity is astronomical. If you require functional customer service, save yourself the detour. Only after an hour of waiting was I told the individual with the key was not clocked in. I am now late for work. Denise and Scooter were the only saving grace to the entire situation. Thank you both. To any of my fellow stakeholders. Sell the stock. Invest in another retailer. Rating: 0/5 stars.

I used to shop at this Walmart Supercenter in Upland all the time. It is near my Mom's house where I used to live from my senior year in high school through my late twenties. I don't shop here regularly anymore, but I have ordered stuff online and picked them up here. I've never had any poor shopping experience when I am here. Inventory of stuff is a hit or miss... sometimes they are just out of stock... it all depends on the demand on stuff, really. Prices are usually lower than most other stores... funny, when I compare Walmart and Target prices on certain items... they are usually the same or 1 or 2 cents difference... not really competitive IMHO. I don't have a favorite... if I'm here, I'll get what I need... don't need to drive miles to save a few pennies... you'll end up spending more with the gas used to get from A to B IMHO. Love their spacious self check-out area. Online pickup services was good... they were quick to get my order out promptly. Always appreciate the timely service. Thank you! Happy Walmarting!

Went here this morning to get 4 items... found them all! Got 4 pack of Starbucks Frappuccino mocha drinks, a coffee mate snickers creamer, Chocolate protein shake, and 2 hand soaps. Had to do an Ibotta order so I didn't lose my current credit. I got $2 more credit in the process! Store was clean and real easy to get in and out as I was able to check out on my own! This store is convenient and close to home. Be back soon!

I drove up to the Auto and Tire Center to see if someone would help me change the windshield wiper blades purchased a couple of weeks ago.

I ordered some items online on May 31st. I received a notice that the ordered was delayed and then I got the ready to pick up I was told their policy is to pick up within 72 hours. It's only 6/2/26 so I'm still trying to figure out how I am over the 72 hour period. So I get there and Atzin helps me. He says my order was put back because I was late and over the 72 hour period and I would have to go and get the stuff myself. I'm not sure why he is on the register when he can't count days. I'm hoping the system doesn't shut down. So as I was walking away to go get the stuff, Octavio comes to the counter. I can hear the two discussing the situation as I was looking at the candy bars in the candy aisle which is that far away. Octavio calls me and says that I don't have to go get my order myself and that he would. I agree with him that this is the correct response instead of a worker asking me to do what they were supposed to do. I had just gotten off work and I didn't feel like addressing this. Octavio brings everything I ordered to the counter while Atzin insisted that my order should have been cancelled. I just had received the email remind me that it would be cancelled after today but I guess he thought it should have been already. I was really grateful that Octavio helped me. As I was leaving, what appeared to be the manager discussing something with someone else. Instead of ignoring me as some stores do, he allowed me to exit first instead of almost colliding with me as some employees from other stores have. Thank you for your good customer service. This would have been a 5 star review if all the employees here had the same mind set.

She was so nice and attentive to my needs helped me find everything that was on my list and when I was done she walked me to the register and began ringing me up rather quickly. Was CVS in Upland robbed last night? Honestly - it is the only thing I can think of to explain the…read moresituation and unhinged "team members" I encountered last night and was harassed and threatened by. After being released from the San Antonio Regional Hospital ER after four hours and in a tremendous amount of pain, I was informed that my prescriptions were sent to the CVS at 100 W Foothill Blvd, located a block or two from the hospital. I was relieved to start my healing process and go home after a long day. I arrive at the CVS around 8:45pm and I walk up to the entrance and notice the automatic doors do not open. I look in and see the doors are locked, lights are on and then happen to notice a scribbled, unprofessional sign with no explanation, which read (pic attached): WE ARE CLOSE FOR TILL 9:45 MAYBE. Confused by this and also trying to ascertain more information as I was not there to shop in the store but pick up a prescription and happy to pay cash, if necessary, I politely knocked on the glass and was met with: "CAN'T YOU READ THE SIGN," in a threatening/yelling manner from an employee in a red CVS shirt with long gray hair. Immediately taken aback, I said "yes, I am just here to pick up a prescription not to shop. I am in a lot of pain, just out of the ER." (literally wearing my Hospital ID Bracelet, with a bandaged foot and my left arm wrapped where they drew blood). Hoping for some empathy and to talk with pharmacist for a solution - (could they move my prescription to another pharmacy? Somehow get them from the pharmacist with cash?) instead, another younger more disheveled employee came over and said, "CAN'T YOU READ THE FUCKING SIGN?" Our network is down; we cannot help you. We are trying to get it back up, but we do not know. Go somewhere else." I am stunned at this point - and said "I CAN'T GO SOMEWHERE else because the prescription was sent here. So, I knocked on the glass again to be yelled at "We can't help your - our systems are down." I said, "I understand, sorry to hear that, but I need to figure out a solution for my prescription." At this point, more profanity was thrown at me. I then went back to my car and began to research other 24-hour pharmacies in the area - and unfortunately, since covid - most of those are no longer open 24/7. So, I called San Antonio Regional Hospital ER and spoke with a nurse there, told her the story - SHE WAS STUNNED BY THIS - and I recommended that she not send prescriptions to this facility tonight and maybe consider permanently avoiding this unprofessional/poorly run establishment. She then had them sent to my regular pharmacy to pick up in the morning at 10am. It sucks, I lost about 12 hours of starting the healing process, barely slept last night without the pain meds but back home in Rancho Cucamonga, I will go to my regular CVS. I plan to relay them this disgusting story as well. How corporate responds to this is going to be telling. I understand - things happen. Technology is going out but there should be a plan. There should be a manager on site talking to customers. There should be more than a poorly written sign with no information on it. There should be phone calls or a message to the local hospitals to not prescribe medicine there if they are having tech issues and unable to meet this need. There should be proper training in customer service in the event of an outage like this. Which made me think - maybe these WERE NOT EMPLOYEES? Because there is no way a CVS employee would treat their customers with such disdain and anger. Was the place Robbed on Friday night? That is the only reasonable explanation I can think of for my treatment last night. I am going to be contacting corporate and the BBB etc., I hope these "employees" get proper training...or become ex-employees. But UPLAND CVS, you have lost a customer for life. And how corporate CVS responds to this - will determine whether I ever step foot in another CVS again. And to the two front-line staff working last night - all I can say is shame on you.
