Great deals and selection. If you like spending spending time going through each of the items on a rack, kinda like thrifting, then this is your spot. Great brands, discounted. I never buy anything full price, so this is a perfect spot to come to. I was not shopping but my cousin was. Loved the shoe selection, even the clearance had some goodies. This location is always clean with ample parking and lots of inventory. I've only seen it very crowded during Christmas. Compared to the Ontario location nearby this location is a pleasure to shop at. Pricing is relatively the same but overall a much more stress free shopping experience. read more

Went in to buy PJ Salvage pajamas for my Mom who is having heart surgery. Excited about the value of our favorite pajamas, however when I arrived in SD and attempted to prewash the gift (so my Mom can wear post-surgery). there is a huge theft deterrent tag still on the pj's AND connecting the pieces. So, instead of having a washed comfy ph's for my Mom, I have to race around at 10 a.m. to have a tag removed & still my Mom won't have washed, comfy pj's. So far with all the Nordstrom Rack stores I've been to all around with the state of California & even Pennsylvania, this location is on my favorite list. Store is always neat & tidy unlike other locations where items are everywhere. Crowds are usually minimal of which is nice to shop & can really take your time to browse around! Selection of items are always good with plenty of options. I love that you can park almost near out front in the parking lot & can just go up to the store via the escalators rather than having to walk thru the entire mall. read more

I am extremely disappointed and angered by my experience with this store. I placed a nordstrom order for pickup at this location and had a nightmare of a time. First of all, I got a notification that my order was picked up from the store when I wasn't even IN THE STATE at the time it was picked up. When I called, the girl on the phone told me it must have been a glitch or someone accidentally marked it picked up. I was ASSURED the package would be in store when I came to pick it up, even after asking if it was okay to pick it up later in the week which would be easier on my schedule. 4 days later I come to pick up the package. Not there, of course. Come to learn, the package was returned on my behalf, yesterday. Cherry on top, it was a birthday gift that I was super excited to give, for a bday that is tomorrow. Located in the Colonies Crossroads Plaza off the 210 Fwy. It was our first time here. Hardly anyone left shopping in the evening. Hubby was looking for a specific Nike shirt. No luck for him. Since we were here, I picked up some new shades and other items. Prices here are slightly higher than Ross, Marshall's or TJ Maxx, but they do carry good name brand items. At check out I was treated very rudely. I was using a Nordstrom Rack gift card that was missing 3 digits in the security code. Apparently some gift cards that are purchased at grocery stores have this issue. The cashier that was helping me was very nice but she called her manager on the phone who was asking her questions about me!!! I could see where this was going immediately. Next a security guard came over and stared at me for a while then started asking me questions that were making me uncomfortable. The cashier kept trying to explain to him that she confirmed that the gift card has a balance but the issue is in the security digits. It finally clicks with the security guard to add digits 001 to the code and it worked. I understand that a lot of people try to get away stealing but to off the bat make your customers feeling like a thief was very crappy. Do better management, this gift card issue is your responsibility to understand and problem solve. It was not okay that I had to defend myself. read more

I think management is at fault for all of these horrible reviews. They need to hire more people and maybe the employees might be a little nicer. But having the minimum wage increase makes it look like it does, less employees. But I know that Nordstrom can definitely afford to pay their employees a decent wage and also they can afford to hire more people, they obviously need to. read more

The line was super long and customer service was not too nice. I was super happy when my item arrived and was ready for pick up. Once I was there I waited for a good 20 minutes in line and noticed the the representative had a upsetting glance. When I was next she wasn't very friendly and was short with me. She talked to me if I was a child and didn't even converse with me much. I had to say,"Um is that it?" She just nodded. I understand sometimes our jobs are demanding and we have to pick up the slack of shortages of employees and store closings, but that does not give you the right to treat customers like it is our fault. Maybe she had a bad day or maybe she was just tired, but please don't treat us like if we're some type of burden. For myself, wouldn't treat you the way you interacted with me if the roles were reversed. Been a customer for over 10 years and a card holder, and it makes it think twice to come to this store again, especially if I have to interact with this employee again. Is it me, or has the customer service really disappeared for Nordstrom? I went to this location to make a return because the Nordstrom Montclair has been closed for a long time now. I have been a cardholder for years and after what I experienced today, I called to close my credit card account. First of all the line was so long, especially for it being around 10:45 on a Wednesday. I had shoes to return and they denied the return because the shoes weren't in their box. No where on the website does it say this. So I waited in line for 20 minutes just to be told they can't help me. 2 of the shoes had never been worn but I got rid of the boxes to save space. The other pair of boots had been worn once but they were uncomfortable and I didn't like them. This has never been an issue in the past to return gently worn shoes if they didn't work for you. UPDATE TO Managements response. Items being returned were from Nordstrom not Nordstrom rack. When going on Nordstrom website and logging into my Nordstrom account it says I can return items in store to this location. It says nothing about Nordstrom racks return policy. I don't care about Nordstrom racks policy since my items are from Nordstrom. I was directed by the Nordstrom website that I could return my items to a either a Nordstrom or Nordstrom rack(it has you type in your location) to find stores closest. Since Montclair and I guess Victoria gardens are no more where was I supposed to return items? Y'all need to get it together and update this info online to avoid confusion. Still canceled my card cuz this isn't how an "upscale" dept. store should be servicing customers. read more

First time at this Nordstrom Rack. It's in a nice shopping center off the 210 frwy. I stopped by because my plans changed and just pulled in. I found these cute little sperry waterproof boots for only $35. I imagine I'll use them to run to the market or grab the mail. The staff was very friendly. I could of stayed and had Starbucks with them. Good job whoever did the hiring. I did buy chocolates at the register so try and resist those. They also had great travel size of face products by the register. I later remembered I had a Nordstrom's reward and took it in a week later. They made the adjustment very easily. After stocking up on some carbs across the street, we wandered over to Nordstrom Rack for some department store exercise. This Nordstrom Rack is newer, and it is very organized. We found high-end accessories, shoes, and jeans for great prices. I was also able to finally find a shoe in a wide size that I have been searching for all over, including the Internet. I also like the fact that they maintain both shoes in boxes on the racks. It is much neater than other Nordstrom Racks I have been too. Had my first bait and switch like experience at the Nordstrom Rack in Upland. Never thought this would happen to me at a Nordstrom Inc. store, but I guess the level of professionalism that I have come to expect from Nordstrom has declined. I had found a one off item, specifically a size large hoodie by Acne Studios in their 70% off clearance rack at the back of the store. I had never heard of the brand but felt the quality was really good. I couldn't find a price tag and took it up to the counter to make a purchase. None of the employees knew the cost and had to send someone to the back to figure it out. Turns out the retail price is $350. They asked me if I still wanted it, and I said "yes," at the advertised price of 70% off. They refused to honor the advertised price, and said an employee must have made a mistake, and that hoodie should not have even been in store. However, I could buy it at full price is what the manager stated. What a total scam. I've shopped at Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom for quite a while, did not expect a store with a strong reputation to behave so unprofessionally. Customers are not responsible for a businesses "mistake" in advertising. They should have honored what they advertised to me, instead of trying to get more money out of me. Return was declined due to poor return policy and managerial decision. I attempted to return a miniature oven that was purchased 60 days ago due to a broken glass door (from heat I assume) I figured Nordstrom to be a reputable store and the return wouldn't be an issue-I was sadly mistaken. Manager merely stated that they were firm on their return policy and wouldn't even extend store credit. Policy; 1-has to be returned within 45 days 2-need to have receipt 3-item has to have price tag attached 4-item has to be unused (How do you know whether an item works or not unless it's used?) This one is just OK. What's bothering me the most is the fitting rooms. They're tiny, they have the worst lighting, and the mirrors are so unflattering. I have an average build but this mirror made me feel heavier than I am and every dimple of cellulite was magnified! Nothing looked good and I ended up walking out! I actually removed a bad review from about a year and a half ago so I could write a good review. It was Over trying to return an item. The reason is I recently bought a couple pair's Lucky jeans and one of the fell apart after wearing them twice. I didn't even want to try to take them back because the experience I had about a year and a half ago . I'm glad I called and talked to the manager Samantha. She was very professional and took amazing care of me! I have a totally different opinion about this business because of her. The whole atmosphere of the store is different than two years ago. Came to this location this morning to make a return and to pick up an online order. I went to the designated area and waited for a while before going to the main line to ask if someone was available to help. The cashier rudely said "No! There is a sign there saying that area is closed". There were 2 registers and the sign was only on one so I just assumed it was that one register. Came in to buy shoes for my medical assistant school and we were looking for all white shoes that a needle couldn't poke through so we found some and took them to the front and were checking out and the cashier who's name is Candice F starts checking the shoes and making sure they are the right size and she pulls out clothing tags from someone who obviously stole them from the inside of the shoes and starts questioning us like as if we did it. The Most uncomfortable experience at this location! I came with family to eat at Chili's and had to kill time, so we went to this location which we regretted. We were being watched and followed by two employees all around the store. Lost prevention said "do you need help? I can find someone to help you?" Which I clearly did not need help. It was the first time in my life that I felt this uncomfortable in a store. I would not recommend this location to anyone of color, unless you want to feel watched or racially profiled. read more

Ooooohhh, another Rack opened up close to me. Not close enough to do serious weekly damage, but close enough that I don't have to drive for an hour to get my fix. The location is nice, a ton of parking and not too full. The registers aren't nearly as crazy as other locations, the selection is huge like always. A ton of shoes with some really good markdowns. The clothes, unfortunately aren't marked down as much yet as at other locations, I think since they are still new and haven't had any of the inventory for that long.
