Requested pupil distance measurement from the optometrist. Was told that their optometry department performed that function. Requested measurement from that department and was told that they would NOT provide because of "liability" unless purchasing glasses from them. I would recommend another provider if possible.

This is not just a Coldwater policy, Pam (head of billing at My Community Dental) confirmed this is their corporate policy. If you have any copay( even low income medicaid), copay on any insurance, or are uninsured, you have to pay 6mos before your next appointment. They will give you an appointment if you can't pay. My Community Dental centers of Michigan are A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, WHO ACCORDING TO THEIR WEDSITES help and serve medicaid, uninsured, and some insurance.(thier website says they do provide free Dental If you can't afford it), but they are enforcing their pay ahead for follow up appointments. Something doesn't seem to line up with their websites( that mention NOTHING ABOUT PREPAY 6mos early). Most of corporate and offices don't seem trained or versed on these policies, so it took a few employees to get a straight answer. For being a NONPROFIT Dental center, I just expected a little more understanding and compassion for their patients. I can't recommend this NONPROFIT my community dental center.
