Everything looked clean, and the design of the place was warm and not intimidating. Emily Plumadore, the friendly hygienist, explained calmly what was going to happen. The taking of X-rays went fast (additionally, the equipment used was new and definitely seemed the latest). The cleaning was painless, with Emily regularly checking in on me to see that everything was OK. Dr. Maria Szmigiel, a warm and friendly professional, introduced herself. We talked about things just to get to know each other. What really stood out to me was that Dr. Szmigiel asked Emily, the hygienist, for her findings, thereby showing that she trusted Emily's professional input. Following her examination, Dr. Szmigiel patiently shared her findings with me, outlining potential treatment options. I never felt that I was "pushed" to accept an expensive treatment, something I have experienced often with dentists. I felt that Dr. Szmigiel accepted and respected my "conservative" approach to treatment. Nevertheless, I place my trust in her when necessary. Upon check-out, I observed that the clinic's administrative system, including finances, demonstrated a focus on supporting the patient, not just the clinic. All in all: a very positive experience...and this for "going-to-the-DENTIST"!

If you have a copay , that's all you pay and if you have insurance where you have to pay a percentage of what your insurance doesn't pay you'll pay a lot less than you would at CVPH. The same labs that you'd have at CVPH would cost you triple the price than what BioReference charges so if you have to pay any out of pocket save money and go to BioReference on RT.3 , they are great and always get the blood on the first try unlike CVPH. CVPH is all about the money and over charges for the same exact labs and they can't even hit a vein at times. My wife has hard to get at veins but NO problems at BioReference always get it the first time. We are very much satisfied with BioReference Lab on Rt.3 why pay more and wait longer. I will never go to CVPH lab for anything again when I don't need to. Check out BioReference give them a call for the newest hours , I think they are now open at 6:30 am but only until 3:00 pm M-F closed on Saturday and Sunday , phone # is 518-561-5215

(when I've gone to the lab associated with the hospital in the past they've had trouble finding a "good" vein and at one point I almost passed out from them trying different veins). The staff at BioReference is always pleasant and efficient. In fact the only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I never give 5--that would have to mean they're perfect and let's face it-- no one is perfect!
