I was having a hard time breathing. I put the mask on, while trying to tell her I couldn't breathe and she went crazy, caused a scene & went to get her husband, Dr. McSweeney. Mask wearing is NOT a law, contrary to Sally's lies and false information. I have been to doctors offices, dentists and a hospital, none of which required me to wear a mask. There isn't one single place I go where masks are required, medical facilities included. This is a dentists office. Masks come off to treat children. They are literally inside children's mouths. I'm guessing Sally doesn't actually believe her mask and face shield work. I sure hope Sally & Tim McSweeney are masking up in their daily activities outside the dentists office. I hope they're wearing masks at the grocery store, country club, etc.. If not, this is all just for show. We chose to leave. At $5-6,000 for braces for each child, they just lost $10,000+ from us. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere and you should too. If Sally is this unhinged before we were even seen, I can only imagine how dreadful our entire experience would have been at McSweeneys.

One of my children was a devoted thumb sucker and was a hard case. Dr. McSweeney never gave up, was never intimidated by the situation and was so determined to provide her with perfection. My other child broke their jaw and was attacked by a dog all while wearing braces which complicated and prolonged the treatment. Dr. McSweeney took it all in stride and has continued to deliver amazing results. His staff is super accommodating with appointments, school and athletic schedules, flaky teenagers, less than perfect use of elastics & teeth brushing, etc. They are kind, thoughtful and patient people who are devoted to their work and their patients. I would go back to them 1000 times over and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great orthodontic provider!

When I had one replaced earlier this year, it was such a bad fit I couldn't even close my teeth together and it hurt if I bit down. The dentist blew me off, saying "some discomfort is normal" until I was sobbing, then decided to check the bite and low & behold it needed a ton of adjustment. I complained for the past year about a tooth where food was getting stuck between it and my gums. They told me "make sure to floss" - thanks, I do. Said tooth finally chipped and they told me there's a big cavity. Really? Why didn't you find it at any of my previous appointments where I complained about it and had x rays done? Of course it took them 3 weeks after it chipped to even see me to tell me that. And they didn't even schedule me an appointment where they could do anything about it because they had too many other people scheduled at that time. What? What was even the purpose of this appointment then? They told me to come back another day then promptly cancelled my appointment even though I responded yes to their email confirmation. Apparently it's policy now that they need phone confirmation, but no one bothered to communicate that to me, and I work a job where I can't have a phone on me all day, so of course I missed the call when they tried to let me know an hour and a half before the deadline to confirm. I am done here. I would rather drive two hours to get to another in-network dentist than waste any more time or money here. UPDATE: They did give me my appointment time back last minute. I couldn't make it on time (I work far away), and they still saw me even though I was an hour late. And FWIW, the dentist I saw today was very considerate towards me compared to the one I saw in January. Unfortunately, part of the way their office works is you don't get a say in which dentist you see.

He wanted to use partials( cheap costumish things with protruding sharp wires) leading me to believe that he cared more about $ than patients. He left in decayed teeth( he said they were ok) to use as anchors( fail!). I have been in pain for most of 10 mo since that horrific day. He should not be allowed to touch patients( i have reported to opd and am suing)

Our experience with North Country Pediatric Dentistry has been extremely frustrating,…read moreunprofessional, disorganized, and has directly affected my son's treatment timeline. In March 2025, we met with the orthodontist and were told my son needed all four incisors removed and spacers placed. When I later called to schedule his initial extraction appointment, the office could not locate the orthodontic order. We scheduled anyway, but when we arrived for the appointment, the dentist again could not find the orthodontic order, which resulted in the procedure being rescheduled. At that point, I asked why a new order could not be requested from the orthodontist and was informed that the orthodontist we had originally seen was no longer with the practice. I then requested a consultation with the new orthodontist to clarify the treatment plan and was told a consult was not necessary. At his June 24th extraction appointment, the dentist removed only one tooth and stated the others did not need to come out. At that time, his spacers still had not arrived, and each time I inquired I was told that "the lab was still making them." At his August 27th cleaning, a different dentist informed us that the remaining incisors did need to be removed and advised scheduling another extraction. Again, I requested an orthodontic consultation and was told it was not needed. After further confusion and another cancelled appointment, we were eventually told that we did need to meet with the new orthodontist, which finally occurred on December 12th. At that visit, we were again told the same plan: the remaining incisors needed to be removed, spacers placed, and a palate expander would be required. The Plattsburgh office manager acknowledged that there had been staffing issues and stated that some employees had not been properly performing their responsibilities and therefore been fired (extremely unprofessional conversation to be has with a patient's parent). She assured me she would personally follow up with the lab to ensure my son's spacers were ordered and tracked. My son was then scheduled for December 28th to have the remaining three incisors extracted. I specifically asked whether we should wait until the spacers arrived before proceeding, and I was told they would be ready within 1-2 weeks after the extractions, so it would be fine to move forward. Weeks passed with no updates, and multiple phone calls were not returned. On January 30th, I was finally able to speak with the manager from the Malone location, who was assisting in the Plattsburgh office that day and was professional and very helpful. She investigated the situation and discovered that the spacers had never been ordered at all, despite previous assurances. She immediately spoke with the Plattsburgh office manager, who stated she would have the dentist place a rush order on Tuesday when he was in. When I followed up again, I was informed that nothing had yet been done and that this was the first the Plattsburgh office manager had heard of the issue. During that call, she raised her voice, spoke to me in an unprofessional manner, and stated she had no control over the dentist or the lab. I have also personally witnessed her speaking unprofessionally to other parents over the phone while sitting in the waiting room with my child. In addition to the treatment delays and communication failures, this office has previously sent me another patient's full name and appointment time, which raises serious HIPAA privacy concerns. The repeated miscommunication, lack of follow-through, inconsistent treatment decisions, and unprofessional interactions have made what should have been a straightforward pediatric dental process unnecessarily stressful and prolonged. I strongly encourage parents to carefully consider their options before scheduling care here.
