I started coming to this OBGYN about a year ago when I switched insurance, and I have never had a bad experience. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel comfortable, understood, and genuinely welcome. No matter the reason for my visit, I never feel uncomfortable voicing my concerns or asking questions, which says a lot about the environment they've created. I have been treated by both Dr. Allen and Bryant, and both of these women are outstanding at what they do. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and take the time to truly listen rather than rush through appointments. They explain everything clearly and make sure you feel informed and reassured before moving forward. I always leave feeling confident in my care and grateful to have found such a supportive and professional practice. The first red flag was when the receptionist told me that my insurance was not going through and I might have to make full payment on the spot. I already checked beforehand to make sure the place was in-network and even called the insurance beforehand. Only when I told her, "then I may have to cancel my appointment at this time, sorry," did she miraculously make it go through. The second red flag was that I was in the waiting room a good hour past my appointment time. Everyone else went ahead despite the fact that I've been waiting longer and clearly had an appointment before them. The third red flag was that the gyno that I had didn't have the best bedside manners. The process of the papmear was incredibly painful. I had both of my children delivered by Dr. Goldsmith. Last one was 8 years ago, but he was a 10lb 11oz baby and it was not an easy delivery but Dr. Goldsmiths "let nature do its part" approach combined with his knowledge and years of experience just made it possible. I am so grateful for having him as my doctor. But All of the doctors that I ever saw in the office were always amazing. I would've been happy to have any of them deliver my babies. My office visits were always very pleasant because of the front desk girls and nurses. I have no complaints. read more

I became a patient with this practice because Dr. Okeefe was highly recommended. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive whenever I saw her for my prenatal appointments. This is a shared practice so any of the doctors there could possibly deliver your baby. Because of this, I made it a point to be seen by all of the doctors so they could become familiar with me and I could feel comfortable with them. Dr. Katz was also very knowledgeable and my visits with him were great. Unfortunately, the third doctor, Dr. Bryant seemed less experienced to me. She wasn't personable and her bedside manner lacked luster. She was my least favorite but I saw her anyway so all of the doctors contributed to my care. That was a huge mistake and just my luck, Dr. Bryant was the doctor on call the day I went into labor. I am deeply affected by the way Dr. Bryant handled my delivery and suffered from postpartum complications because of her negligence. To keep it short, she was unable to break my water after several attempts (without an epidural- non medicated was my choice, but ouch!) and kept apologizing that she could not do it. Then, when my baby finally arrived, my placenta was stuck on my uterine wall. Dr. Bryant literally had to go fetch it and it was coming out in pieces!!! It was agonizing having her reach inside of me multiple times to get out the placenta. You would think this circumstance would alert Dr. Bryant to follow up with my recovery but she did nothing! Before my 6 week check up, I knew something was not right so I called the office to speak with her. I was bleeding for longer than expected but more concerning was the fact that I was so boating and feeling a lot of stomach pain. The nurses told me my bleeding was "normal" and to wait for my scheduled 6 week check up. I refused to see Dr. Bryant and made sure my follow up appt was with Dr. Okeefe. Thank god for Dr. Okeefe's genuine concern for my health because she ordered an ultrasound to make sure everything was okay and found that there was still conception tissue inside of me!!!! I am so grateful I did not get an infection having waited 6 weeks! Women die because of this! I had to get a D&C surgery to fully remove the leftover placenta. How devastating having to endure another surgery after suffering for weeks. I rarely post negative reviews but I am so angry with the way Dr. Bryant handled my delivery. She was pregnant at the time herself so I'm not sure if that contributed to her lack of care but I am not confident in her ability to serve pregnant women. This was my third pregnancy and I had zero complications with my previous two. I know each pregnancy is different but my negative experience could have been avoided. read more

I came to this practice when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter after being told how "wonderful, caring, personable, & compassionate," people here are. That's not what I was met with at all. I developed Hyperemesis Gravidarum before I was 5 weeks pregnant, the only reason I found out I was pregnant was because I thought I had a really bad case of the Flu, so I went to Urgent Care where they confirmed my pregnancy. Still not understanding why I was vomiting so much, I found an OB at Walnut Lake OBGYN, hoping for some answers. Instead, I was told HG "wasn't real" that my OB, Rachel O'Keefe, "didn't believe in HG and refused to treat me for it" so I went 9 MONTHS of my pregnancy throwing up excessively, being denied treatment, being told it was all in my head, that I just had morning sickness, she kept telling me "oh well it'll get better by 15 weeks." It didn't. "Well it'll be better by 20 weeks, morning sickness doesn't stick around past 20 weeks" yet here I was. 25+ weeks and still throwing up excessively, and only now finding out what Hyperemesis Gravidarum is via a L&D nurse at Huron Valley Sinai. 25+ weeks now throwing up blood due to minor internal injuries from vomiting & the hospital your practice works with turned me away more than once when I was sent in by Walnut Lake OBGYN (only after calling them multiple times over my symptoms) to get IV fluids due to severe dehydration. Then during my labor and delivery stay, I wasn't informed about anything involving the birth of my daughter. I was told the day before I was supposed to be scheduled to be induced that they had already scheduled my time and date for induction along with the route they were going to take for my labor and my delivery. They wouldn't tell me they were having issues finding her heartbeat until I asked what was going on. O'Keefe didn't tell me what she was doing until after she broke my water for me, she didn't tell me that my daughter was PURPLE WHEN SHE WAS BORN, I found out from MY HUSBAND DAYS LATER. LUCKILY, my daughter is fine, and will be 2 next month. To this day, I have horrible trust issues when it comes to being seen by a doctor. I'm terrified about what my next pregnancy will be like. And I finally am now able to put my experience out there. I will not be back to this practice. read more

I have been seeing Donna Lyons since I was a teen for my first obgyn appt and she is such a lovely human being and just as knowledgeable as the doctors. She takes the time to chat and find out how I am really doing and she takes great care in her examination and follow up. I delivered both of my babies with this group and visited all of the doctors throughout and had a great experience. I highly recommend this group of practitioners. read more

By far my WORST experience at a doctor EVER. I went in to get birth control and left crying my eyes out. The staff was rude and unfriendly. I needed a pelvic exam, which I had never had before, and the whole time I felt unsafe and violated. as soon as the doctor left the room I started sobbing. I was prescribed a hormonal birth control that is known for worsening anxiety and depression. the doctor knew I had severe anxiety and depression and was taking medication for it, yet still prescribed it to me anyways. It made me not able to get out of bed for days. I wanted to write this review so that no other person has to go through what I did during this doctor visit. I can't even give it a 1/10, it's a definite 0/10. read more

This is an awesome practice of extremely competent physicians. Beyond nice, they are highly qualified and have proven reputations for excellent quality of care. I see Dr Salesin who has taken incredible care of me through the many phases of health including breast cancer, menopause, etc. He is incredible and I am so grateful to have him as part of my medical team. My experience with Dr. Katz was catastrophic. Oversight after oversight. I would not recommend him to anyone. I left his office hurt and still having the same issues. When you have a pregnancy without issue, you can be under his care but as soon as you have complications I would not recommend him at all. I am lucky to still be here and write this review. read more
