To say that my experience at the Miller Vein Clinic was life changing, is an understatement. From the initital contact to the final treatment was made most painless by the Staff and Doctors... I had entered a very painful time in my life when diagnosed with my vain ailment. Trouble on the home front and a bleak outlook personally when I was referred to the Miller Clinic. Talk about a feeling of failure and no hope, MAN!!! I had been misdiagnosed, and it was my dermatoligist, Dr. Thomas Chapel who put me on the right track. A simple "you inherited bad veins from someone in your family" and a referral card started a new chapter in my life. I had been in two car accidents and gained a lot of weight. My family Doctors and a family member who taught nursing, had given me the wrong information. They had told me it was my weight that had caused my ankle and leg swelling and now discoloration... Very disheartening, but, NOT TRUE!!! From the very moment I entered the examination room with the sinking feeling of middle age, the first member of the Miller Staff I seen told me "Honey it's not your fault"... I honestly thought the nurse was going to cry. She held her hands to her face and sked me how long I ad been suffering, I told her... It was at that moment she grabbed my hand and told me "We're gonna fix up up" ... Talk about a life changing experience!!! My personal life in the toilet, the light at the end of the tunnel looking like a freight train, and now a new outlook... The light at the end of the tunnel wasn't a freight train baring down on me but a professional with knowledge who was looking for me... Finally, help had arrived, and no, life wasn't over, but about to start anew!!! Absoultely the most pleasant professional people that God could ever inspired to study to help their fellow man were not busy examining me ande all telling me that things were going to be OK, giving me assuance, that I did not have, that I'm gonna be better... No God complexes here... Everybody had smiles on their faces, kinda like Santa's elves bring much needed gifts to the needy, me... I gotta say, these people make you want to be nice to them, from the beautiful receptionist to the techs and Dr Lou!!! Just the nicest people and the can do attitude of help is on the way... And the display of humor melted any doubts I had away... I proceeded through my proceedures laughing and joking. Simply put, I can't see any self worth of th Miller Clinic personal that was at anytime put over me as a client/patient. I highly reccomend th Miller people to anyone who wants change in their lives. I went to them and am now a walking testimony of change and a new outlook that enables me to face the new day with a smile and a newness I've never had! I went to Miller vein in Oct of last year. This has been one of the BEST things I have ever done for MYSELF and MY FAMILY. Dr Wang and the staff are FABULOUS. I was treated from the moment I went in..... like FAMILY. Everyone was CARING, COMPASSIONATE and made me feel comfortable at all times. I could not have asked for a BETTER EXPERIENCE! From the first phone call and appointment I knew I was in the RIGHT HANDS. Everything was explained in great detail. They contacted my insurance and made sure everything was set up for my procedures. After years of swelling, painful, unattractive looking, horrible leg cramping, (esp at night) to no pain at all. I am WALKING, HIKING doing things I love and haven't wanted or couldn't do in years. PAIN FREE, MEDICATION FREE. I even did my first 5 K just a few months after having my legs done. My husband and sons, and my dog love the NEW ME. The day of my procedures I was put at ease. From the welcome smile at the front desk to each phase I went thru. Your taken into the back were your given a nice comfortable robe. Photos are taking. Everything was gone over. The girls are all Happy and CHEERFUL. You enter into the procedure room and music is playing. Your all set up and Dr. Wang comes in. Everyone is GENTLE, CARING and EXPERIENCED. Always with my needs at a top priority. I was in no pain. Comfortable at all times. Always told what was going on or going to happen next. Then it is all done. Your wrapped, your stocking are pulled on and your ready to walk. While the ace bandages are tight I was in no pain. I went home following the instructions and 2 days later took everything off to shower and was amazed at how my leg looked and felt. While of course there was some bruising and very small cuts, it looked and felt better then it had in years. I went to work the next day, worked a full 8 hours and was great. Two weeks later back for the post recheck and two weeks after that went back and did my other leg. I am so GRATEFUL for finding Miller vein. I had terrible varicosities in my left leg and my GP kept telling me that I needed to lose 30 lbs and then have them fixed. I didn't lose the weight and got tired of waiting. My GP did recommend Miller Vein as did my gynecologist. I was nervous and worried that Miller Vein would tell me to lose weight before attempting any procedure. From the time I walked in the office, I was treated with the utmost courtesy, friendliness and warmth. From the receptionist, to insurance analyst, to the ultrasound tech, to the nurse, to the doctor - everyone was wonderful! Dr. Miller is incredible. After an ultrasound it was determined I had venous insufficiency in both legs. We decided to treat the left leg first, because the varicosities looked so bad. It looked so bad that I was embarrassed to wear shorts, dresses or bathing suits. The office worked around my schedule and I had my left leg treated just before Christmas. Everything went beautifully and proceeded exactly as had been promised. I am so happy with how my left leg looks and I am looking forward to short weather for the first time in a long time. Also, I have been told that I walk faster and I believe my leg feels better, lighter, I never realized how the venous insufficiency may have been slowing me down. I still need to have the right leg treated and I will have that done this year. I highly recommend Miller Vein. Incredible experience! Not only is Dr. Jeffrey Miller a genuinely nice and caring physician, but he is a medical genius as well. After years of suffering with excruciating leg cramps in the middle of the night, and trying remedies from bananas to homeopathic powders, I stumbled upon an ad for Advanced Vein Therapies in the Sunday Free Press. Insurance easily covered the procedure, and a welcome procedure it was. Dr. Miller's office is comparable to, stepping in to a high-end spa, complete with soothing music and water fall in waiting room and an amazing staff from reception to RN's. If you've had trouble with varicose veins in the past and had the old-age 'stripping' technique, to no avail, it's worth picking up the phone and calling Advanced Vein Therapies for a second try. Dr. Miller uses cutting edge technique of placing a catheter in to the vein and lasering out. As painful as the procedure may sound, the entire experience rates high on my list and I'd much prefer taking a trip here than getting a cavity filled. Wish there were more of Dr. Miller out in the medical field. read more

Great Job by Dr. Miller! I had severe varicose veins in both legs and you could never tell that I suffered from them after both vein removal procedures. My legs are completely clean. I no longer suffer from fatigue at the end of a long day after walking around my work facility or one of my companies manufacturing sites. I would highly recommend seeing Miller Vein if your need to remove your varicose veins. It is a world class facility that does an excellent job diagnosing your vein problems, explaining the surgery procedure and providing great followup care. The procedure itself is virtually pain free and Dr. Miller and staff make you feel relaxed during your operation. Dr. Miller cares about his patient's over all well-being. Although Dr. Miller specializes in veins, he doesn't stop there. He recognizes other health issues and refers you to the best possible physician to treat you. It doesn't stop there. Either he or a staff member will make sure you were able to get an appointment with the physician he referred you to. You can always call the office if further assistance is needed and you will be thoroughly directed in the right path. I experienced this very situation myself. I did not have any vein issues, but Dr. Miller recognized a different health issue and got me in with a specialist within a week and I received the care I needed. Well a friend mentioned that I should seek out Miller-Vein for pains in my legs. Well from the first time I entered their very comfortable office to schedule my appointment with Dr Miller, and then other times to get my ultra sound of legs, and the procedure. Wow, I was truly surprised as to how professional everyone was, the complete friendliness, the feeling of really caring. All these give you the positive feeling, that you are in the hands of someone who will take care of your needs. Insurance was not a problem, at all. Best thing I did for my legs was go to Miller Vein. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to finally make the decision to go. If you're apprehensive don't be, Dr. Miller and his Novi staff made my visits comfortable and a breeze. I was lucky and only needed sclerotherapy to take care of my varicose veins...even the larger buldging ones. There's nothing like being more confiendent when wearing shorts and a few treatments accomplished just that.
