Of course a lot of the stuff is wood, like fences, cool light posts and mail box poles, huge and elaborate play sets for kids, nice sheds, gazebos and pavilions, tables, chairs and stools and my favorite, little wooden bridges. I've always wanted a bridge in my back yard, just wish I had a stream or river to put it over. Walpole also has some very cool and creative gates, arbors, cupolas and lattice thingies. If you actually make it inside the store you will see gigantic and very impressive looking bird houses. These aren't just little boxes nailed to a pole but a seemingly endless variety of shapes and sizes for everything from humming birds to pterodactyls. Lots of bird baths so the avians in the houses can stay clean and cool spheres, thermometers, wind chimes, garden critters and great looking weather vanes. Even high quality basketball hoops and backboards. All kinds of things that you probably never thought of but once you see will desperately desire. Some of the stuff you can take home in your pocket, other things you need a huge truck to move. I love going here just to look around, I seem to find new things every time. Sure, a lot of the stuff is basically useless and unnecessary and this isn't Wal-Mart, the prices aren't cheap. But if you are looking for a bird house that probably has more room than most people's homes, an baroque and ornate moon gate, a fat little Hotai Buddha, a lighthouse weathervane or a cool but totally useless and frivolous little bridge, this is the place.

Visit Date: January 12, 2019…read more I wanted to take my son to Wood Kingdom when I found out about it. Hubby beat me to the punch and took him there on one of my work days but this past Saturday after the gym, he suggested we go again and I was all for it. This is a great place to go for indoor play during the winter. It's spacious, there's a ton of indoor playgrounds and a bouncy castle for the kids to go on. My one issue was certain slides and tunnels were a little tight for me to get through. My son does independent play but he does want me to go on playground equipment with him still. I lost a lot of weight so I can fit fine on most playground equipment but this playground equipment wasn't entirely adult friendly. They offer complimentary coffee and tea which I think is really awesome but I was hesitant to try it. I am a coffee snob and since I've had to go back to only drinking almond milk in my coffee and not the nice delicious dairy free creamers I was using to mask the taste of bad coffee I'm hesitant to try coffee at certain places. Hubby seemed to enjoy it but he used the free tasty creamer they put out. Still it's nice that they even offer free coffee. Open play is $12 per session I'm not sure if they offer a play pass or not.

From start to finish Joe was a true professional, listening to our needs & desires, offering suggestions he felt would be best suited for our budget and even taking the time to explain the pros and cons of some swingsets I'd researched online before we went to the showroom. We were able to get what I consider to be a top notch set at a price we were very happy with and best of all it was delivered and professionally installed just before our 4 year old's birthday as we requested. He absolutely loves it - mission accomplished. Bottom Line: you may spend a little more than what you see on the big websites but you will not be disappointed in the experience or the finished product you get from Wood Kingdom.

There is a large and…read moreclean indoor area for the kids to romp and play on the equipment which essentially acts as a showroom for the business. A pretty smart use of space if you ask me. It's $7 for open play in the space M-F 10AM-4PM, for the entire time period. Stay as long as you want, not only an hour like some places offer. And you can bring snacks/lunch or leave for a bit of the day to get lunch and return and they won't charge again. They have picnic tables setup for eating purposes and they were surprisingly clean. Because the large equipment is their showroom it isn't run down or old. It all looks newly erected and not like kids play on it all day. They also have a big bounce house setup. There is an area with all Step 2 Kitchens and some of other Step 2 products to play with as well. They are preparing for an expansion to add even more play space. If you're looking for a wintertime birthday party, I think I'd suggest this place for sure. There is also complimentary coffee and ice water. They do sell some small snacks and juice boxes for those unexpected low sugar meltdowns.
