As luck would have it, the perfect size building was available right on the lot in Bethel! Within a few weeks, the site was prepped. The house was delivered 10 days later. I can't say enough about the help we received every step along the way. But the real shocker was the skill with which the pool house was carried from driveway to pool. Andy and Joe operated a machine called a mule to direct the move. This avoided the use of a heavy truck on the lawn. Though it added a little more to the cost, the savings to electrical and septic lines was more than a fair compromise. We are thrilled. The fan and additional lighting is being installed today. The prep team came at least 3 times to ensure things would go well as I had a difficult property to navigate including bamboo, steps, slate and a tight space to get the shed into. The owner Scott even came to the site to verify everything and ensure the right amount of wood and rocks were delivered. My yard slopes down, and Matt said he felt they should add a second row of wood to ensure no water running into the shed which also included all the extra rocks to fill the space. This was done without complaint or extra charge. They delivered the day they promised. After passing this place countless times while I'm walking, driving or just in the area, we finally were able to come in here with our masks during operating hours. We were absolutely THRILLED to finally make it in. Unfortunately, the experience did NOT end up this way. The pros: HUUUUUUGE selection of succulents, slightly pricey but REALLY good quality and absolutely gorgeous. Also, really nice flowers and flower arrangements. The cons: I'm not sure if it was a bad day, but NO reason to be so RUDE to your clients (the cashier ESPECIALLY). First of all, there are barely any prices in the flowers, flower arrangements, plants. If there were more prices near the plants then we wouldn't have to "annoy" the employees and "bother" them by asking them prices of different plants. Came here with the idea of "supporting" local business instead of going to Home Depot or any other chain. I finally picked out like 4 plants which for sure were worth $50. One of the ladies that worked there rudely told me that "those aren't for sale" as she pointed to an almost invisible sign that said "not for sale". Meanwhile there were plenty of the plants available (duplicates of the same). The super nice lady that works in the greenhouse area propagating nicely said that there's no problem, we can sell those. Because there were more of those available. The initial rude lady ran to the other lady in the cashier to "tell on us". By the time we got to the cashier ALL excited with our new purchases she immediately says "they didn't tell you these aren't for sale??" And I said that one of the nice ladies said it was ok. Before I could even finish my sentence here she was snatching the 2 pots away from me. Basically forbid me from buying the plants because it took her "so long to grow" instead of kindly providing me an alternative she hid the plants away as if I was ready to steal them.... I was ready to just leave my purchases behind but I decided to buy one plant...to still try to support. I've NEVER seen anything like this. Not only did she miss out on a purchase DURING a crisis but she lost 2 customers and unfortunately I will NEVER recommend ANY of my friends here. Maybe the egg shop is a different experience but this to me was just not only humiliating but unnecessary and RUDE. #SupportOnlyNiceLocalBusinesses
