The education coupled with the Christian tradition and the array of activities gave my children a well-rounded education. The teachers are dedicated to their students. Many also coach teams or moderate clubs after school. They provide "extra help" to students who require it. They don't leave when the bell rings. Graduates have gone on to top notch schools as well as middle tier schools and also RCC, just as students who have graduated from the New Jersey Catholic schools or the NY public schools. Graduates have received ample scholarships for academic performance and have been awarded significant financial aid awards too. Albertus tuition is significantly less than their New Jersey Catholic school counterparts. When deciding on a high school for your child, the best approach is to contact each school under consideration, ask for their college data, read their brochures, check out the websites, talk with teachers, current parents, students, and graduates. Also arrange for your child to visit for a day to get a feel for the atmosphere. Attend a sports contest, concert, play, or art show. These are usually advertised. If you and your child are lucky enough to make the "right" decision (best school for your child and it may not necessarily be Albertus Magnus), you will know when he or she says as my student did, "I love Albertus!"

Even…read moreif you are looking for a Catholic Education experience, there are a number of top schools in Bergen County, New Jersey that are far more worth your tuition money and have much better collegiate connections. I wouldn't waste your time or hard earned money on Albertus Magnus. Most of the educators there are simply unable to find a "real" job in a public school, and the rest are just there temporarily to gain experience so that they can move on. There no longer exists the teachers that are there for the students and plan on sticking around to guide them through their formidable years and assist in the transition to college. The guidance department is a complete sham with hardly any experience, knowledge or contacts. My advice, either save your money or spend it on a REAL school.

Students won an award for their science work. Northern is a fascinating example of STEAM--science, technology, arts, music. Northern offers ballet, classical music, and classical Chinese dance, along with the humanities and science programs. We visited an arts studio on campus, too, with student's skillful work displayed. A parent spoke of how flexibly the faculty designed course work for his sons--one was extremely good at math, and they let him advance into a much higher grade to do challenging work. Another was extremely poor at Chinese, and the school found two others who were novices and created an ultra-beginner class just for them. If only all schools could do such things! It's good to see a school restoring and using the abandoned Beaux Arts buildings that had become so blighted. Glad they preserved the graceful proportions and aged brick of the old buildings, while making it modern and bright inside.

I was a bit apprehensive at first because it was so much cheaper than the other private Pre-K schools we looked at but within the first few weeks we were impressed. The teachers were very engaged and my child, who is shy, took to the teachers right away. I loved that they would get homework and the arts and crafts they did were adorable. There were a lot of field trips and off-site events - awesome for kids. Security is very important here - buzzed in entry, visual recognition of caregiver before child can leave, etc. The class was very diverse. There were easily four or five bilingual children (Indian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Italian).

The care and attention both of our children have received has been nothing short of exemplary. They've truly thrived at Little Pals, and we can already see how the foundation this school provided has played a big role in their success beyond preschool. It's a big thing to send your firstborn off to school. Harder still when that happens at the tail end of a pandemic like it did for us. Is this the right school academically? Will my child adapt socially? Will they thrive? Little Pals checked all the boxes and then some. They made our children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, while also setting high academic standards. And they did an outstanding job with us parents too! Calming our nerves (especially this parent), and making everything feel right immediately. We've never doubted our choice for an instant. Our children leave Little Pals with a solid academic foundation: recognizing and writing letters and numbers, early sight words, counting to 100, and reading beginner books with confidence. Their handwriting improved tremendously; they developed strong problem solving skills and a genuine love of learning. They still talk about songs, lessons, and moments from class. It's incredible to see how far ahead they've been - both academically and socially - compared to where I remember being at that age. Communication is excellent. In addition to parent/teacher conferences and detailed reports, the teachers were always available to chat. I never felt rushed, and I can be quite talkative! There are field trips, an open house, Christmas concerts, and family night, all of which made us feel connected to the school and involved in our children's early education. There are always activities and plenty of pictures. Our kids made friends - and we made friends too! We've experienced just about every aspect of Little Pals, from the toddler room to aftercare for our first grader. Our kids attended summer camp here, and even brought their cousins along! That's how much we trust and value this place. I truly cannot say enough good things about this school. The place is also not sanitary . My children were constantly getting sick and would send them home for the smallest things while I am at work as well as close for a flurry of snow not reliable

Whitby is a wonderful little school tucked away in backcountry with the most amazing faculty and…read morestaff. The school's campus is intentionally unassuming and most importantly, my children wake up excited to go there each day. The Montessori Children's House may be Whitby's crown jewel - from the moment my children enrolled (at around 2 years old) their worlds expanded, as they were offered control of choices that as parents we don't consistently have time to give them at home. From their toddler years and now on to pre-school and Kindergarten, I've had the joy of watching this newfound independence grow. Our family is excited for Whitby's bright future and our children's place in it.

Specifically people playing soccer and the spectators. In the hour I was there I had to dodge 5 soccer balls that nearly hit me in the head and had parents standing in the middle of the track refusing to move while their children played. It was absolutely insane. While the track is nice, I'll not be back due to the rudeness of the people who are there.
