    PATCO Broadway Station- adjacent
    Sarah T.

Major public transportation hub in South Jersey- serviced by NJ Transit buses, the River Line, and PATCO's Broadway Station. This location is close to Cooper Medical Center. Though in a fairly safe area of Camden, I see lots of seedy activity when I pass through, so unfortunately you need to be vigilant here. Safest if used during traditional commuting hours, when there are more people and a number of guards.

Clean station and never too crowded come on get your life at Walter rand!!!!!!!!

Hey, it's Patco. If you are heading towards NJ, this is the second stop on the route, which means…read moreif you hop on in the after work crush, you are more likely than not to at least get a seat. But at least once or twice a month, maybe if there's been train delays or especially bad weather, you might find yourself having to stand. Sometimes there is a staff member near the ticket gates yelling out when the next train is coming, which is helpful. Sometimes it smells a bit pissy near the entrances. The downside is that if it rains, the 12th St. south entrance floods and unless you are wearing waterproof shoes, it's really not accessible. For up to 2 days! The staff really should do something about that. Otherwise you have to cross the street to access PATCO.

I was taking PATCO alone for the second time ever and meeting a friend nearby. I was so nervous that I somehow bypassed the 13th Street exit and kept walking. Hardly anyone was around but eventually I emerged at 15th Street...and had to run back a few blocks to meet my friend. It never occurred to me to turn back around. Times have changed and over the years I've used PATCO quite a bit. No matter, I still often double-check my steps when I leave this specific platform, which is probably silly and paranoid at this point. This is the second to last stop westbound, and it's conveniently situated in Washington Square West. You can also link up to the BSL here. I recommend having a Freedom Card if you frequent the city at all. I tend to see long lines purchasing tickets at the kiosks...but especially at this station.

I take the trolleys from 15th Street to 390th usually and not much else - plus during rush hour there are more of the trolley than there are of the El. And you can get out to West Philly easily. they also have a blue flashing "warning light" to let you know not to go down there if the light is flashing. (Wish the Broad Street line had something similar.). I am a BIG proponent of public transportantion and while it is easy (oh, so very easy) to criticize SEPTA - I think the trolley line it a great, great thing. Please improve the Orange and Blue lines and clean up the stations. And make token machines (better yet - switch to a swipe-card system like every other modern city {suppoedly in the works}) available at all stations. (I can not believe the Race/Vine station has no place to buy tokens - but that is the subject for another review(). the green line? It's running pretty well.

The dispatcher called me back immediately after I left a message with the company, and was friendly and helpful in coordinating travel details for an airport pickup for my parents, who are... not technology friendly. Dispatcher called me back the afternoon of my parent's scheduled arrival with specific info on their driver - name, phone #, etc - in addition to trying to text it to them. (Nice try, my parents don't understand texting.) Their driver called moments after they stepped off the plane, and he was available curbside to them as soon as they'd collected their luggage. I'd warned them that there was quite a bit of luggage, so the driver had even brought an assistant to help him load up. Mom reported that the SUV they sent was clean and well cared for, and still had plenty of room for her, my dad, and their 8 suitcases. Driver was friendly and attentive. Mom could not have been more pleased. She even asked for his card! (Mom NEVER does this, because she finds fault with EVERYTHING.) I think it's safe to say we've found our new transportation service!
