There was music playing sunny tunes, with children dancing around, old people just chatting away in Spanish. The place seems more on eone gaint social club than a load of shops. Had a huge meal with fresh juice, followed by a Colombain strong coffee. Than just enjoyed the vibe. Often pop in when passing. Top tip go on saturday for a hair cut, a meal, stock up on books, dvds, music for learning the language. Or just pop into for a coffee or frozen juice on a stick. And if all this eating and drinking gets too much there is always the suit and corset maker to hide the sins.

The clothes are fashionable and of a high quality. They are also very well priced. The shopping trip was worth the effort, the cake was moist and soft whilst the cream cheese was not sickly sweet and tasted better than those that I have tried in restaurants and specialist cake shops. The cakes at Costco are freshly baked in store daily and very good value, many people have talked about the delicious huge birthday cakes made to order for only £20. Costco is a good place for stocking up to cater for parties due to the large portions and high quality eg. Sushi platters, fresh pizzas, marinaded meat and seafood for barbecues. The annual membership is definitely worthwhile even if you don't shop there frequently.

As a local I'd heard a lot about this little in-door market, hidden away on Wood Street. It's…read moredefinitely the first of its kind in Walthamstow, serving as a hub for creatives, vintage and music lovers and small businesses. As you walk along the street it's not really the most noticeable of places (all the fun is inside) but upon having come closer it is actually well signposted. When you walk inside you'll notice loads of cute little shops, most of them dedicated to vintage goods. There's also a fair few little artistic units selling art, textiles, home-made soaps and jewellery. I also noticed a nail salon and another small little beauty shop and a small cafe. I have to say as a local it was a pleasant surprise to see this kind of market in Walthamstow. I probably didn't visit at the greatest of times (a wednesday morning) as it was extremely quiet and some of the shops were closed but it was nice enough.
