People came in to drop by to say hi which I love to see and it seems like his family-established place is held in high regard in the community. The place is lined with awesome posters and a heavy punk influence, even hearing some 70s proto-punk when I got it (which I love by the way). Jim, the barber, and his girl cut mostly men's styles and have some beats bouncing off the radio in the background. Why songs? I don't know, but I usually do that on my own in the car. Jim did not sing, but was very precise in his cut and didn't roll eyeballs when I brought in a picture of my style and length that I wanted. Jim was actually happy. He could visualize it. And he pulled it off! The shop 'Barbers & Song' only has one seat - so they mostly take reservations and ask you to be in at a specific time. Cuts are around $20 for seniors and maybe $23 for adults. Jim asks how you like the cut, shows you a mirror to hold and talks - but not too much. Coiffeur Jim was just the right kind of talk to focus ratio. There is a large screen that the ballgame was on and couches to sit, too. Barber Jim's attention to detail, aim to please, curiosity and about 25 minutes per cut is pretty generous. Review: 5 stars

This time, I had to give him a buzz cut at home to fix his hair because it was extremely uneven. His side burns weren't evenly cut either. This is upsetting because I didn't want to cut his hair short, just wanted to clean up his curls which were growing too long. A waste of money if I had to cut his hair when we got home myself. The stylist we got the first time was great though.
