So after 3+ months since my removal, I finally made the appointment to get my eyebrows RE-microbladed by Alice after a botched job done by someone else. Once I arrived, Alice checked on my eyebrows and had me sign some paperwork. There was aftercare instructions in the back so make sure you take pictures of it! (Alice will let you know to take pics of it as well) Once I sat on the procedure chair, she went through my options. Since I had redness due to the removal, she was afraid it would show if she added just the microblading hair strokes. She suggested I do the combo which entails shading along with the hair strokes. Of course there was an additional cost but I really didn't want to have my eyebrows fixed again for future purposes so I went ahead and opted for the combo. Once I laid down, Alice walked me through the entire eyebrow drawing procedure and asked me what kind of eyebrow shape I was looking for. I was bored of my straight brows so I wanted more of an arch but not too much of an arch. She drew and perfected my eyebrows countless of times in order to get the right and perfect style. She also made sure my eyebrows were aligned and symmetrical. All in all, the procedure was entirely painless and very easygoing and smooth. I started my microblading journey in February 2020, and had my retouching in early March 2020. This is how my brows have been holding up. Alice was very pleasant to work with, but my brows were not as bold as I would have preferred (even though I paid extra to have them done in the "bold" /more full style). Alice reshaped my brows a tiny bit by shaving off/plucking, and once I got used to the new shape I loved them. I first got my eyebrows microbladed on January 6th 2021 and then I got a touch up March 13 2021. Pictures below of the first and second treatment, as well as the eyebrows now January 2022. This was a pretty expensive treatment and I was so excited to not have to fill my eyebrows in every day. Unfortunately only a month after the touch up the micro blading completely disappeared. Also, both times she shaved my eyebrow ends off and did the micro blade higher up than my natural eyebrow stating it matched my eyebrow structure. The hair never filled back in. I now have no eyebrow ends and no microblade visible so it is worse then I started out. I now am having them re done elsewhere the right way. Went to get my first session right after July 4th. My natural brows are sparse and light. So my freshly microbladed brows were crazy to me! They were hella dark but I got used to them after couple of days. As they were healing, the color was lighter. Make sure to speak up and tell her if those are the brow shapes you like, no turning back yo. She'll explain the whole process to you thoroughly and the paperwork too. Comes to the 5th week (I believe), didn't think I'll need to go for my touch up but I figure I should so it'll last longer plus i paid for it and made the appointment right after my first session. The process was the same and my brows are still healing and peeling. Follow Alice's instructions and your brows with be on point! She was attentive and answered all the questions I had. And I do ask lots of questions. I mean it's my skin and my brows. Just make sure to take care of them as the post care would determine how well these babies will turn out! I'm still waiting patiently for mine to heal, especially my right brow... But I'm almost there. I've been waiting to have my eyebrows fixed once and for all - so I did a lot of research and decided to go to Alice. I'M SO HAPPY I DID!!! She's great. When I was done, I was overcome with shock. I felt like I didn't even know what to say, my face looked entirely different. She essentially created eyebrows for me! I did the microblade with shading combo, which Alice said would be my best option to cover up the faded red dye from a job years ago. Even if you don't have that, the shading looks really good so for an extra $50 it's worth it. First thing we all want to know: "Is it painful?" ... NO! Not at all! She has a really good numbing cream that we let sit for over 30 mins, then she checks in the whole time to see if you feel ok, and if you want more numbing cream she simply adds more. Like I said, I've had this procedure before and I was amazed at how gentle Alice was and how little I felt. I would describe it as merely pressure, and like a fairy gently scratching you with a toothpick. It's clear that Alice is a master and knows the best techniques, she is super friendly and her studio is pristine, inside a big industrial-type building (not sketchy!) with basically zero foot traffic (optimal pandemic atmosphere haha) and clean bathrooms. Most importantly, she takes her time (my work took about 4 hours!) and she explains EVERYTHING. You know what's going to happen, and she tells you exactly what she's doing the whole time as she does it. You will never wonder what's happening she basically talks out loud as she's doing it. Finally, know that you'll be very comfortable, there's even a heating pad on the table so your whole body is super chill and relaxed. This lady is shady, do not go to this business i got a groupon with her i paid for microblading with 6 week touch. On my first appt when i got there, she said the groupon was for thin eyebrows, if i wanted thick i needed to pay 100 dollars more. After the 6 weeks i contacted her and she said my 6 week was up. Everyone knows touch ups are anytime after 6 weeks. I told her no where on the groupon does it say within 6 weeks it says touch up after 6 weeks. Then she said she would honor my touch up but only gave me one day to reschedule which was at her convenience which was the same time i pick up my son. She refused to accommodate me, so i had to escalate to groupon, without a doubt groupon refunded my money due to services unrendered. Pls do not go here, it is a waste of money. Alice was unprofessional and did a poor job on my eyebrows. I am not pleased with the appearance - it is not what I discussed with her prior to the procedure nor is it the look I desired. She did not take into account my face shape nor the natural shape of my eyebrows. Similar to another reviewer, I had difficulty scheduling my touch up appointment (which was part of the Groupon and therefore I had already paid for). Alice was rude in her communication - she refused to accommodate my schedule or to refund me for the cost of the 6-week follow up appointment for touch-up. She made my eyebrows look 1/2 the size that they naturally would be - very thin and uneven. I will have to wait for it to fade and have someone else re-do them. Alice was a really professional makeup artist. We had her for our pre-wedding photo shoot. She asked us for our desired style in advance and had communicated with us regarding the hairstyle and makeup that I like. On the photo shoot day, she did my make up efficiently and nicely. Alice is great! I cannot say enough good things about her. I have been very worried about how I look on my wedding day especially I have uneven sized eyes. Alice was able to adjust it so well that all of my photos look perfect and natural. Her work on hairstyling was also great. Finding Alice was a blessing! I followed her beautiful work as a makeup artist on social media for a couple of years when I noticed she went into the art of microblading. Her client photos showed consistently beautiful work so I made an appointment. She's sweet and very professional. She explained everything in detail before she started and I felt comfortable from the first moment. She outlines the shape of your brows based on your facial measurements and makes sure you're happy before she starts the actual procedure, and takes her time making sure every stroke is perfect. She has her own, beautiful little studio in Brooklyn which is very comfortable and calming. I loved the result once we were done and was sent home with care instructions and a small tub of balm. I had a few questions the first day or two after the procedure and Alice was very responsive by text. I made my touch up appointment about 5 weeks later and she perfected any little areas that she felt needed more strokes. She's so gentle that I fell asleep while she was microblading me! It's a painless process because she uses a numbing cream and continually checks to make sure you're not feeling any pain.
