Had to refill my small tank on a snowy day.. they refilled it before taking payment, only for me to find out they don't take cards. They kindly told me I could bring a check my the next day. Very rare to find a company who trusts people. Gave them my address and phone number so they could send a bill or whatever if I failed to pay, but I'll be bringing the check by tomorrow. We were a Wan Ban customer for a number of years. I mistakenly allowed our tank to run out of gas. We called, and ordered gas but our pilot light was out in our water heater and our stove downstairs so their service department had to come out and inspect and relight our pilot lights. Their gas truck and service techs showed up together, I showed them the water heater and stove and had to leave for work and asked them to lock the door when they leave. Well not only did they lock the door THEY LEFT MY OVEN ON 500 degrees. Inside our oven was a cast iron skillet with cooking oil in it. My wife comes home TWO HOURS LATER and our entire basement was thick with black smoke. My phone rang with my wife in a dire panic. (Thank the good Lord she didn't open the oven door) Told her to turn oven off and open all the windows. Called their office (spoke with lady who answered the phone) after explaining that they almost burnt our house down her reply was "Well what are you doing with a skillet full of grease in your oven" If I could have reached through the phone I would have slapped her to the ground. I told her it didn't matter if I was drying my wife panties in the oven why the heck was my oven left on?????? The owner called me and apologized for his brain dead employees mistake. Now after completely scaring the bajesus out of my wife, I paid an additional service charge to Wan Bon for the service call that almost burnt my house down. I ordered another 100 gallons of gas thinking these morons would at least credit me with the money I paid them to almost burn my house down. NOPE no credit, full price. We have owned a small service business for over twenty years and NEVER have we asked our customers to pay us for our screw ups. So I was dealing with either GREED or ALL AROUND INCOMPETANCE neither was going to keep getting our hard earned money. Disconnected their tank, got another gas company to supply us with their product. Called Wan Bon, told them they were fired and they need to come and get their tank. Their tank had about 35 to 40 gallons in it, they said they would credit me with the gas in the tank based on the price that we purchased our last hundred gallons. Months went by and no credit. Called them and they informed me that there was a 100.00 fee for picking up their tank and that I owed then around 8.00 or 9.00 dollars but they weren't going to charge me.
