Wanda Coach - WHY?! Why are you providing such unprofessional services to people? The bus is absolutely filthy. I decided to take a last minute trip to Atlanta, GA to visit a friend. I bought my ticket online for $40 each with a discount of 10% for your first trip. I got to their 103 Canal Street office on time, but the bus arrived more than 30 mins late. It was a debacle as people were running for the bus, even though everyone was assigned a seat. The driver stopped about 10 times to pick up passengers, but to also buy 8 cartoons of cigarettes at every rest stop location. Sweet home Alabama we arrived to Atlanta, GA more than 3 hrs late. Thank you WANDA! On the return it was far worse. The charging components on the top were all broken. Passengers started improvising and used tape to stick their power cords on the ubs extension. I had the pleasure of sitting beside the loudest Dominican family I have ever encountered. The bus was asleep around 12 am and they were still talking and laughing loud. There should be a sign or someone available to ask for silence after 12am. I know I am not in first class seating while traveling on a BUS, but courtesy is important. The lack of it is a major turn off. I am turned off by this bus company and will NEVER make another reservations be in last minute or a month before. Take heed, you've been warned. read more

Showed up for my bus 12 minutes (exactly) prior to departure time. Waited 10 minutes and called the customer service line and was told it left already, I was scheduled for the 8 pm departure and it was 7:58. I told them I'd been there for the last 10 minutes and got hung up on. Called back and was sent straight to voicemail. I assure you I was at the correct location, Wanda's buses just like to leave earlier than scheduled and obviously don't confirm if all ticket holders are on board before departing early. Unfortunately the reliability of this company has drastically decreased over the past month. I have booked three trips with them this month all of which did not come on time. The first bus I took this month was supposed to arrive at 2:15 I received a call at 1:45 from the company telling me I should be there by 2:00 or the bus will leave. When I told them the bus is scheduled at 2:15 and I will be there on that time, the lady hung up. The second trip was from NY to DC when I got there at 7 I was told the bus is delayed and will get here by 8 The third time I was supposed to get in the bus by 1:30 and it is 2 now and no bus has arrived. Worst experience. Going from NY to NC and I was assigned a seat. The worst seat in the whole dingy bus. I had leaning back seats that wouldn't adjust, air vents that wouldn't blow cool air (literally sweating), the stench of piss the whole ride from the gross bathroom, usb outlets that didn't work, and overall dirty conditions. 9 hours of hell. I asked the bus driver what happened when he arrived and he said, "look we're coming from Atlanta,; this happens." Later I called Wanda....several times because they would not pick up until several hours later. I said the bus was supposed to depart at 6am...She said, "Well, about 6am." Are you kidding me? This had to be the most horrible bus experience ever. As I was approaching the bus, I was greeted by an angry man who seemed to be the bus driver. I could not understand him because he was yelling at me in a foreign language. When I asked for his confirmation about the bus details, he simply got more furious with me. Next, even though I got to the bus station 30 minutes earlier than the depature time, all the seats were taken. Most passengers were hogging the seats by sitting in one seat and putting their belongings on the seat next to their seat. It took me about 20 minutes after I sat down in an unoccupied seat to realize that this bus was picking up passengers from other states. This was not specified in their sketchy/suspicious website or my receipt. I sat in a seat that was right next to the restroom. I did not enjoy the broken restroom door swinging towards me as the bus moved. I had to force my foot to stop it from hitting me throughout the entire ride. Lastly, the bus arrived 3 hours before the arrival time provided on the website. I am glad that we arrived early, but I wish I had accurate details about my trip. Right out terrible!!!!! 1.We were going by bus from atlanta to new york. 6:30 pm. But that bus was cancelled without any notification on mail or anything. we wer told to do the 5 pm bus instead, wich we barely made. My girlfriend and I booked a trip with these people from Tampa to nyc . And I have to say it had to be the most uncomfortable trip ever . First of all the bus was absolutely dirty . Look like it hasn't been cleaned in months . In between the Seats all U is food debris and what looked like cigarette ashes . There wasn't toilet paper and the driver just said " well someone stole it " when I asked him about it . And the worst of them all my girlfriend and I were bit by what looks like to be bed bugs . I recommended that nobody gets on these buses especially if you have kids . Is unsanitary rude and uncomfortable . Bottom line: This is for you if you need a cheap transportation option to NYC. The experience: I took a one way trip originating in Virginia Beach, VA on 26-Nov-2022 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) and ending on Canal Street in Chinatown, NYC. I purchased the ticket directly through Wanda's website nine days before for $26.99 (includes $1.99 in fees). This compared to over $300 for flights / Amtrak. We departed from the Northampton Blvd location right on time at 9:10am. We then drove to a parking lot a short distance away on Military Highway in Norfolk to pick up more passengers. We arrived in a Wawa parking lot in Fredericksburg at around 11:30am, and since there was heavy traffic the driver told us we only had 10 minutes to take a break. The Wawa was quite busy and there was a line for the bathroom, so you had to choose whether to use the facilities or get food. This would be our first and only break. We then drove from Fredericksburg to a gas station in Northwest Washington, DC where we dropped some folks off. We were not invited to get off the bus to get snacks or use the facilities. We then drove straight through to NYC and arrived at our destination on Canal street in Chinatown. The original estimated arrival time was 6:30pm. Since it was Thanksgiving weekend we had considerable traffic on 95 the entire journey, and we ended up arriving at 8:30pm. Recommendations: -The heating on the bus was quite uncomfortable. The bus has radiator strips along the bottom sides of the bus closest to the windows. The radiator was very hot, so my feet were uncomfortable. I couldn't move my feet away from the heat source because there was a passenger in the aisle seat. And touching the radiator even with covered skin hurt quite a lot (safety hazard?) Please turn down the heat on the bus - enough heat is being generated from passengers already! -Wanda should consider consolidating the Northampton Blvd and Military Highway pickup points to save time. Going to Norfolk to pick up more passengers added about 30 minutes to the journey -It would have made us even more late, but we needed to take another pit stop between Fredericksburg and NYC. 8+ hours is too long to go without inviting passengers off of the bus to use facilities / get refreshed. Many passengers began to use the bus bathroom once we got past DC, and the bathroom in the back of the bus started to smell (I was sitting in the middle, so I can only imagine what the folks sitting closer to the bathroom must have been smelling) -My seat had a traditional power outlet next to it, but it didn't work. And while each seat pair had two USB-type B outlets in the ceiling console, I only had a USB-type C cable so I was out of luck -Expect a full bus. The power outlets didn't work, so I had to charge my dying phone in the short 10-15 minutes we had at a rest stop, and when I came back out the bus was basically almost leaving without me. Poorly run operation with schedules running behind. They make no effort to tell you if the bus is coming. This bus company is highly chaotic overbooking buses, providing false ETAs. The bus is packed and the fumes of the bus ahead of you in line spews in as you wait to board the bus. The only up side is the price. Richmond to NYC-punishing experience. Flixbus cancelled my trip, so this was the only option for a similar price at a similar time. I'm not a snob about transit, Spirit Airlines and Megabus and all of those things treat me fine, I'm not paying for frills. But seriously, this driver and company are so unprofessional it blows my mind. Read a review that the bus smelled like cat piss, they weren't joking. Bus pulls up late, driver takes "10 minute" breaks that last as long as he feels like. At the one stop, he waited for 10 minutes to pass before even stepping into the rest stop for himself, while also being catty with people when they weren't around at the snap of his fingers when he decided we were boarding again. Drives recklessly and merges in a way that would be rude and dangerous for a small car, much less a bus. He was honking and swearing at people who were pulled over for an ambulance to pass by, then looks back at us so as to say "Can you believe this?" as if we all weren't frustrated by his own driving. Yammering on his phone while driving and didn't care to regulate the noises of passengers like is commonplace for these types of buses. Bus also seemed overbooked, but in all fairness a couple people might have had bags on their seats or something. People speak ill of Greyhound, but I've never had any experience quite like this through them, through OurBus, through Megabus, or anybody else. Definitely not worth it. read more
