Super nice - took care of everything, even delivering flowers and things after the service straight to the home. Also passed out bottles of water to guests. Did a great job at the "details" and personal service. read more

History

Established in 1872.

Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory is the oldest family owned and operated funeral home in Richland County. Wappner Funeral Directors started as a furniture maker which also made coffins. As custom in the late 1800's, Wappners also did "Undertaking" as it was called. We opened the first crematory in Richland County in 1984. Today the business ir run by the fourth generation of family members.

Meet the Business Owner: William W.

William is a fourth-generation funeral director. He has been in funeral service over 40 years. He is a past president of both the Ohio and National Funeral Directors Association. He is currently on the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors.
