I got glasses and contacts from this location in July of last year and received an email today saying my prescription has expired. I went back and checked the actual prescription - written by the doctor- and it expires in a year, which is 4 months from now. I called WP customer service and they wouldn't confirm anything without me giving out all my personal data. I think it's in really poor taste to try and trick customers into purchasing again or simply going to the doctor earlier than needed. I'm so glad I took a picture of the prescription rather than trusting WP. I'm going to take my business back to Wise Vision who has never tried to pull something so dishonest and sneaky. I think large companies like WP forget how expensive it is to invest in these services and this really shows their lack of understanding and care for their customers. read more

please be aware that Warby Parky loves to say our "insurance didn't cover ". They always say this AFTER the exam. I contacted my insurance, which covers everything, and they said they were never contacted by the office nor were they aware of the exam & costs. How are they going to pay for something they weren't aware of? The office doesn't want to do the paperwork or doesn't know how. Shame on them to pay so much for bad quality glasses and poor service. read more

The sales attendant may have been new he didn't seem sure about a lot of questions I asked about insurance. So definitely know your policy before you go in. I needed prescription glasses, and when I walked into Warby Parker, I was greeted by a very knowledgeable sales associate who guided me through the process of selecting and ordering new glasses very efficiently. I received a paper receipt, an email receipt, and a date when the glasses would be mailed. (They came earlier than promised). I had ordered 2 pairs of glasses online to use up my FSA and needed them adjusted. This Warby Parker was the closest one to me, since I'm working remotely still. I walked in around 11am on a Saturday and they were at capacity. Staff at the door took my name and number and put me on the waitlist. She quoted me a 15 minute wait time and told me I would have 10 minutes to return for my spot once I was pinged. It ended up being less than 15 minutes - probably closer to 10 minutes. Juan assisted me with my glasses adjustments and he was friendly and efficient. They change their gloves between each customer, so I felt extremely safe with them touching something that was going on my face. He had me try on both pairs and made any additional adjustments after I tried them on. He was the best! I felt extremely safe in the store and would not hesitate to return. read more

I purchased my first pair of glasses at Warby Parker in 2013 and nine years later I continue to be a very happy customer. I have had a few pairs over the years, including sunglasses, with each pair lasting me between one and two years of everyday wear. After my office moved away from the Greene St location in Soho I switched to the Hoboken store which is close to my home. Calling the Hoboken store to reorder or going in for an adjustment is always easy and pleasant. I stopped by this past Sunday after I had slept on my glasses and bent them horribly, almost beyond repair in my mind. I didn't have to wait to see the optometrist and he seamlessly fixed them in no time! Having the Warby Parker stores available for drop in adjustments is such a benefit to being their customer and they glasses are cute and inexpensive to boot! read more

From walking into the well lit open space that is this store, to the immediate customer service attention from an extremely nice human being. I knew this would be a great experience. Now I am not a Boomer, but it did make me think, ahh shit I am in Hipster heaven when the lady turned me toward the wall and said, "Everything on this wall is Gender Neutral". I was like OK... I personally will wear pink or blue without needing a title for it but 2019 why the hell not haha. But it gives you an idea of their demographic. That being said we slowly began making our way across the isles, no pressure, very calmly, the nice lady asking me questions about my preference in glasses and also what she thought would be nice. I was holding over 7 pairs of glasses as one point with no rush to put them back. She showed me things I was comfortable with and pushed the envelope to things I was not aware I would even try in a million years. She even suggested some rounder glasses to which I quickly whispered, or I thought I whispered, "We need to be careful with round glasses or I look like a German mad scientist and not the good kind, but the kind from the 1940's.... to which I heard a bellowing "HAHAHHAHA" as I turned a customer, older man, was laughing hard and went, "sorry wasn't trying to listen in but that was golden". Ahhh the downfalls of being vampire white. Anywhooooooo, we continued and narrowed it down to about 3 pairs, their mirror placements and lighting were good, not like Lens crafters where you look horrid in everything. I could look close up or at a distance and when I was really stuck between three pairs, the nice lady helping me called over another rep to get a second opinion. It was so cool and very helpful. I ended up picking a metal frame, simpler look than the thick plastic frames. I prefer glasses with nose holders and lightweight as well as a rectangular look for my face. Well, crazy part was, by the time I said "I want these" like the apple store, she had already plugged in my prescription, the glasses, and was asking me for my address for delivery within minutes on her little ipad thingy. Handed her my credit card and she handed it back going, ok you are set! It will get to you faster this way and if you need it adjusted just come back in and we will help you! She even said, if you hate them you can return them no questions asked in 30 days. Which is always nice to hear Because you just never know sometimes. But I was most surprised at how quickly checkout was, I actually asked, "is that it?" And indeed that was it. I even had a moment to go around to the glasses again that I didn't pick and take a selfie to show my friends for opinions on whether I chose right. The lady even showed me exactly which ones they were since they were put back on the shelves already. Overall: SUPER relaxed environment. NO pressure to buy VERY kind customer service SUPER fast and easy checkout They send you instructions on how to get your insurance to cover some of it. CON: There is only ONE con, the glasses I picked, 145$ and while still cheap, they do get ya with the 95$ price tags on "most" glasses. But the minute you go into the non plastic frame world the prices go up FAST. And that sucked cause obviously I liked the metal frames. Wish it was 95$ for the entire store that would be amazing. Anyway, amazing experience especially after my horrific one at Lens Crafters. Thanks! UPDATE: I got the glasses. They fit like a glove. Worked great! Look Great. My wife needed prescription glasses so we stopped by one Saturday to pick some out. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out there is nice service. They get you right when you open the door which can we annoying for some but not me. I liked the how it felt in there. It had a cool modern concept. The layout is pretty minimalistic which gives it a clean chic atmosphere. In the end she got her glasses in a reasonable amount of time and the people were very helpful. What more could you want? From a price perspective I don't know if they are expensive or not since I have never bought glasses before. I would recommend this place. read more

I've worn glasses my entire life and somehow never tried Warby Parker until recently. They opened a new Hoboken location so I thought I'd pop in and check out some of their frames. Oh. Also, how beautiful is this storefront ?! A perfect little addition to Washington Street. The inside is just as modern and trendy. After about two hours, I walked out with 2 orders in for a pair of new glasses and a pair of prescription sunnies. The team there was very respectful when I said I was just looking and then very patient and helpful when I was seriously considering a new pair (or two). I put my orders in and then just over a week later I was picking them up. They contact your doctor for you to get your prescription. It was incredibly easy. Not only are these glasses pretty affordable (each pair were under $200) but you have 30 days to return them if you need to and then lifetime adjustments on frames. I got a pair that was kind of out there for me, so I am still getting a feel. But I love love love my new prescription sunnies and can't believe I've gone all my days without a pair. read more

It's nice that they have all of the frames (and prices) listed out for all of their customers to see-then there's never any confusion or concern that you're asking to try on too many pairs (like there was with my optometrist who I am all too sure was overcharging insanely for his frames and lenses). The process was easy-I was in and out in under 30 min. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars-my glasses came in and they hurt my eyes-something about the lenses are off, and it just feels like a pain to have to go back and get them adjusted (which stinks). The overall company and concept is great but this location in Hoboken I would not recommend. I was pushed to get narrow glasses when I had never worn narrow before and I full round face. I listened to the staff there still unsure why I did. Received my glasses and sure enough they didn't fit well and were hurting my temples all day. I went back to the store to exchange them but once again they convinced me it was fine they would stretch them. And once again I had to go back and finally push to get the right size. Then I was told to get an even thinner lenses for an additional $100 when I was ok with the lenses I had. They only cared about making a buck not helping the customer get the right lenses or frame. I would never recommend this store. I received my new frames and I very happy I didn't agree to pay an additional $100 to thin the lens more they are fine the way they were. That was a scam to get additional money from customers who are unaware it's not necessary. I hope management is not behide this. Very annoyed by whole experience with this establishment! read more

First time a Warby Parker or even shopping for glasses here. Since I already have my regular eye doctor i just brought in my prescription and Warby Parker inserted it in their system. However, if you need to get your eye exam they can do that at the store. The associates are super nice and helpful. They are there to assist you or recommend frames that you might like or if you are like me who likes to shop in peace without anyone bothering you every minute they'll do that too! They have so many frames options it took me like 30 minutes to decide which one i wanted to purchase. They also have a lot of options if you are looking to get sunglasses. It takes about a week for the glasses to arrive but they can also ship it to your house for free. Side note: there's meter street parking but the meters accept credit cards so make sure to get your ticket and put it on your windshield! read more

This location in Hoboken is a hot mess. The male salesperson was super rude and had a flamboyant diva attitude with customers. Like he was doing them a favor helping them. The optometrist totally jacked up my glasses and mangled them like a pretzel. He made the arms bowed like the letter 'C'. When I asked why, they look terrible, he straightened out the arms super wide, like the letter 'W'. I'm not sure if he's just a terrible optometrist or he did it to be spiteful. WP has been my go-to place for eyeglasses. Although I've been seen by an ophthalmologist for years (who has also tried to have me purchase glasses with their optician), I always find myself going back to WP. Now that there's a store in Hoboken, that's one less thing I will travel into the city for. The quality of the frames and lenses are exceptional and come at a great price. I got duped. They told me they took EyeMed and I scheduled an exam. I picked out glasses and was ready to go. I go to check out and they say my insurance doesn't exist. I said no, here's the EyeMed card. Then they say, "Ohhhhhhhhhh, yeah. We take very few EyeMed plans"-and CHARGED ME FOR AN EXAM I NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE. Are you kidding me? I will never step foot in another Warby Parker again. If you know you take very few EyeMed plans, how do you not check my insurance in advance? Shady. Deceptive. Misleading. But the doctor literally ran into the back to avoid eye contact with me. When I asked if I could be seen after the next customer, I was told she had "a conference call". Really? I fell in love with this place! I wasn't sure how it would go since it was my first time for my family. First let start of with saying they are excellent at following safe procedure for the covid. They have hand Sanitizer every where and they clean the glasses after every touch. Which is a plus. They helped me pick out glasses for my son and I and very helpful with trying which one would be better due to my eye prescription. Dr. Dinh was very welcoming and she is very nice. I regret not coming sooner but will definitely be coming for my eye exams and glasses needs. You save money on glasses. My in-store experience in the Hoboken was exceptional. The sales associates and manager were extremely helpful and informative. The range of available frames was outstanding. And I left the store excited to receive my first pair of Warby Parker's. However, the follow-up was unacceptable. I ordered my glasses on Feb 1st. Website indicates delivery within 10 days. Store staff indicated maybe 2 weeks. It is now almost 3 weeks and I dont have my glasses. Contacted customer service who indicated that they 'may be lost' and could be replaced within 7 days! Production problems and delays happen. But I was never contacted that there was an issue, and if I didnt call customer service Id still be waiting. I canceled my order. Very disappointed. read more

I received my new glasses in just four days (shipped to my home) and they are terrific.
