The lobby and office is very clean and comfortable. I've been to Dr. Orlen several times in the past and he's by far my favorite Optometrist. Within one hour I completed my eye exam, received my prescription, found a pair of frames that were perfect for me, sat down with a consultant to choose the types of lens designs and materials I wanted, placed and paid for my order and was on my way home. Very quick and easy process, and can't wait to get my new glasses!

The lovely woman I spoke with about 15 hours ago didn't want to allow me to see Dr. Kidd for a change to my prescription because I 1) couldn't be dilated (I am very sensitive to it and need to get a ride) and 2) I didn't want the eye numbing agent that is has an obscene amount of artificial yellow dye in it. I said, "Ok, well then maybe I should find a different doctor if what I'm uncomfortable with isn't OK?" She replied, "That probably would be best!" To whoever runs this practice - I would politely suggest you monitor your receptionists. You lost my ENTIRE FAMILY as patients with that one receptionist today. A receptionist who literally had me in tears after the call with how apathetic she was to me. (By the way. Do I *really* need all those tests? Village Eye Care has pretty much all of the good employees from Dr. Wadman's former practice in Amherst, and I've been very satisfied with the level of care I've received, in particular from Andria Demosthenous O.D and the opticians at the shop. There are some older negative reviews on yelp that I would take with a grain of salt-they refer to the prior Optometrist/Owner of the practice who retired several years ago.
