Ward K. Johnson is dishonest. He and his wife rented an RV space from me here in Sarasota Florida and paid me with a check in the amount of $2,250.00. The check was not honored by the bank. He had placed a stop payment on the check. He, his wife, and their 7 dogs lived in my RV space, using my utilities, his dogs making a mess, him getting drunk and arguing with his wife to the point that the neighbors complained. I have filed a complaint with The Office of Disciplinary Counsel in Bismarck. Passing a bad check here in Sarasota County is a Felony punishable by up to 5 years in The Florida Department of Corrections. I would NEVER hire Wade K. Johnson or anyone in his company to represent me in a legal matter. He is a liar and con artist. read more

Every time I was told I would be contacted back by Gretchen Handy and never was. When I followed up only to find out no one had ever even taken my name or documented my calls, it was so clear that the poor woman that answers the phones has to deal with frustrated people in my situation all the time. So I gave up and hired someone else. But I am grateful, as I have since met several people who hired her for criminal cases or elder care cases and either had to fire her because she did absolutely NOTHING on their case, or they ended up having to get another attorney who encouraged them to file formal complaints against Gretchen for things she said or did with their cases.

He took our money and quit, which is theft!! I do not recommend this lawyer to anyone ever! He pushed for a plea deal which any free lawyer can do! He knows many of the prosecutors and judges which he failed to divulge and is a conflict of interest! Run do not trust this crook! Acts very fake, he should be a prosecutor! Bait-and-Switch Tactics, Gross Negligence, and Fake Victories…read more If you are a professional expecting competence, avoid Kory Kleven. He pitched me a 'risk-free' strategy to secure a $5,000 flat fee, but immediately started sending 'Due on Receipt' invoices to manufacture pressure. His refusal to advocate is astounding. I handed him a prepared, Director-level data package with spreadsheets proving my equity. He sat on it. He refused to do basic discovery or subpoena bank statements. When I held him accountable for the financial 'risk projections' he promised during our consultation, he suddenly suffered from 'selective amnesia.' He deliberately uses phone calls instead of emails to avoid creating a paper trail of his broken promises. Worse, his laziness actively harms your case. When my vehicle had a flat tire, opposing counsel demanded the registration be transferred to my name. Kory explicitly agreed to handle this basic administrative task. He simply didn't do it, handing opposing counsel free ammunition while I was desperate for resolution and bleeding cash in a fight he didn't want to have. His negotiation strategy is non-existent. When my property sold, he promised to use the 6-week escrow window to negotiate a payout, explicitly telling me I'd have my funds by 'Christmas.' Instead, when opposing counsel predictably stonewalled him, he lacked the spine to fight back. Rather than forcing them to the table, he took the path of least resistance: he spent a few hours negotiating with my creditors and paraded it around as a 'victory' to justify his fee, completely abandoning the fight for my actual equity. Because of his cowardice, my capital was tied up until February. When I expressed justified frustration, he tone-policed me, framing my demand for results as 'unreasonable.' He is a fee-collector who hides behind phone calls, fakes his own competence, and negotiates against his own clients. Save your capital and find a Closer.
