I'm pleased with the prompt response to this issue, and in general I'm pleased with PPL compared to the alternatives.

The line is now sagging lower each hour, and I fear it may completely fail soon. Despite explaining that this is a life-safety issue -- not just a power outage -- PPL told me I am "not a priority" because I'm the only home affected in my area. Meanwhile, I've had to shut off power after seeing smoke from outlets caused by power surges. I can't even let my dogs outside for fear the line could come down. On top of that, we're losing all of our food, which we just received from the food bank, and I'm currently out of work due to the federal shutdown. This situation is unacceptable. A single home should still matter when there's an obvious electrical hazard and fire risk. I'm asking PPL to take this seriously and dispatch a crew immediately before someone gets hurt.

I have been served by Citizen's Electric Company for 56 years. Over that period I have had maybe a…read moredozen outages. In fact, it's 7:30 am and The lights are coming back on from the latest. Over that period, the local Buffalo Valley Telephone Service was sold to an out-of-state telephone service who closed the Lewisburg office and the service deteriorated to the point that I had to leave. I was afraid the same would happen to Citizen's Electric. But it didn't happen, so I'm still with it. I use automatic withdrawal to pay my bills. The price has soared since governor Rendell deregulated power in Pennsylvania, promising that prices would drop, but I have no complaints. A tree fell against the power line last year causing a major outage. When I called to report it. I got the usual semi-informative recording. But a half hour later the power to our house was restored. I found out from the repair crew that came out lo clear the tree away, Thea what Citizen's had done temporarily was to switch us to a different sector of the network. Note that PECO billed us for consuming an additional 500 kwhr more than my Feb 2025 bill. Also note that many months our total household power consumption is around 500 kwhr. We have propane gas heat and propane cloths dryer and our only electrical appliance is an electric oven-range. How can we use more power in Feb than during the summer months when we use our air. conditioner? We called customer service PECO three.-(3) different times to file a complaint and obtain additional information.
