This morning, I swapped the winter tires (already mounted on separate rims) onto my wife's car at home. One of the tires was completely flat; had a leak along the bead. So I knew it needed to be remounted and balanced. I called up TW, and Walter said they could squeeze me in because of the urgent nature of my wife needing the car for travel. And this despite their heavy workload with all the winter changeovers this time of year. They got me right in and taken care of quickly. Most surprising, they didn't charge me, even though I hadn't bought the tires and wheels there. "You're a regular, don't worry about it." I'm not promising that they would do that for every customer. But I feel it's indicative of their overall approach to business.

If you go for a ball joint, they will sell you control arms. They will say, it will be impossible to do the job without the upgrade. They prefer to use their source for parts because they make upwards of 30% on that brand. Lastly, they will charge you $50 for 2 rags and 1.00 worth of break fluid. My advise, go somewhere else for the same price.

I came to them on my spare after blowing out a front-tire sidewall the evening before. Twenty minutes after Il called, they had my car jacked up and the new tire mounted. They even cut me a break on service/mounting fees. I give them my highest recommendation should you find yourself in need of tires in the Putney/Brattleboro area of Vermont.
