We lost or traded in our Mario Cart/Wii by mistake and needed a new one. Wal-Mart had it for $30 bucks. I said no, since we got gift cards for Game Stop let's get it there. It was still just under $30 bucks @ GS but we got it. Got home. Wouldn't work. Just kept getting error messages. I have the receipt but I'm not sure about their return policy as I did not want the extra $3 warranty on the game that covered it for a year. We'll see. But, I could have bought it new at Wal-Mart for the same cost. SMH. ------ Bumping up to 4 stars as when we took in our game and receipt the same guy was there. He was so nice. I'm shocked at how much space they have for their games because it's almost like walking into a warehouse full of games, anime figurines, and merch. Everything out in the open games are shrink wrapped and it does help keep that minty fresh condition, I'm sure you don't want to see dust on items you want to buy. The back section used to be an open spot where they would host events. The Gamers Exchange was what I looked forward to the most when going here. Local sellers sold games and it brought a sense of community. There's now more of their section to test and repair consoles so I suppose it's for the better but those were the days.. Apart from all the cool video games to check out I have a few complaints. Like many, checking out here takes too long and I wonder if it's just something where their point of sales is just outdated. Even then, there's only one person just checking out people.. why not have more than one register at a time? There's the option to use WiFi but I could never get it to work. Although there are computers around to look up items that you want to check the price on, it can be a tad slow sometimes. I do like the convenience of checking out what's in stock but sometimes that's not always the case. I remember a few times asking someone that worked there if they had a game, they could not find the game at all and that put a damper on my visit. If I can't see it in person in store then most likely it's probably bought online. Otherwise I find this store to be such a joy to visit. While I think the prices are kinda high, I don't think any game store in the area could really compute. They have games ranging from NES - Recent and that's pretty impressive alone. It's so cool to visit a store that caters to anime and video games enthusiasts.

I understand that stores get busy and employees have other things to handle, but basic communication and attentiveness go a long way. If you want to wait in like from 20min to even an hour or more, make sure your schedule is freed up. 99% of the time there would be a single cashier, and when they ask/call for back up you can hear in the radios that someone is either on their 15 or break or wouldn't be up until 15 or more minutes later. They keep their radios at a decent to high volume and rely on taking via managers from the register, which causes a lot of back up issue. Especially when it comes to transaction refunds, exchanges, or any other problems. Then let alone too, most of the time too. You can tell when someone doesn't even want to be at work there. Talking about a baby daddy, or their own relationship problems, even worse as well 99% of the time on their phone and asking someone else to take the register... Most of the staff is too laid back, and are just showing up to get paid but never want to put in the work. Let alone, apparently they get a bunch of new items almost on the daily? This store is too small and way overwhelmed with items that you cannot even find something decent unless you move things around.. If I worked for a company like this, I know for a fact there would be problems due to how much is going on already. But yet I cannot understand just how a company will sit by an allow a store to look, sell, and act like this...

I complained to a floor manager who was very busy, but eventually he opened one register. I had a full cart and considered abandoning it moments before. Fortunately I got through and the person at the register was good, but something has changed in Warrenton recently. Most of the employees assigned to cash registers are slow and barely functional. Not all. In fact, I will go out of my way to avoid certain ones and even stand in a longer line. Particularly ones who sit down. I will still get most items at Walmart, but I have started shopping at other grocery stores for mid week needs. I just don't have time to spend 20 to 30 minutes in checkout. The result is I will spend less money at Walmart.
