I have been going to eStarland for many years but I haven't written a review for them. This place is massive. I'm shocked at how much space they have for their games because it's almost like walking into a warehouse full of games, anime figurines, and merch. Everything out in the open games are shrink wrapped and it does help keep that minty fresh condition, I'm sure you don't want to see dust on items you want to buy. The back section used to be an open spot where they would host events. The Gamers Exchange was what I looked forward to the most when going here. Local sellers sold games and it brought a sense of community. There's now more of their section to test and repair consoles so I suppose it's for the better but those were the days.. Apart from all the cool video games to check out I have a few complaints. Like many, checking out here takes too long and I wonder if it's just something where their point of sales is just outdated. Even then, there's only one person just checking out people.. why not have more than one register at a time? There's the option to use WiFi but I could never get it to work. Although there are computers around to look up items that you want to check the price on, it can be a tad slow sometimes. I do like the convenience of checking out what's in stock but sometimes that's not always the case. I remember a few times asking someone that worked there if they had a game, they could not find the game at all and that put a damper on my visit. If I can't see it in person in store then most likely it's probably bought online. Otherwise I find this store to be such a joy to visit. While I think the prices are kinda high, I don't think any game store in the area could really compute. They have games ranging from NES - Recent and that's pretty impressive alone. It's so cool to visit a store that caters to anime and video games enthusiasts.

Great place for games and gear. Solid pricing. Clean inside. Staff seem friendly. Wish it wasn't so removed from everything.

Has anyone had a cell phone screen repaired there?

Yes I had my LCD screen replaced on my iPhone6s. I emailed the store manager (Chris)for price estimate and he quoted me a discounted rate, much less than all the others in my area. We set up an appointment for the next day and they did a great job,…

Superbit is a retro gamestore and may accept some popular game consoles and rare games. I was greeted and was helped right away. The store employee knew exactly why I was there. He noticed the bright green color of my Pokemon leaf green and stopped everything to assess the value of my total trade in. If I had known how much Pokemon would have blown up in the past, I would have kept all of my cards and games and sold them here. Fun fact: The game box/packaging is worth more than the game itself. If you have a mint condition box that the game came in, it could be worth a lot. I thought I ended up with a good bargain because of the quick trade in and knowledge base of the employee. I am glad I got rid of my childhood games for some cash. I learned that retro stores like this is considered like an antique store.

I recently visited Arcana's Video Games Store after driving a considerable distance through heavy…read moretraffic because of the positive reviews I had read and the information on their website indicating that they accept trade-ins and support multiple video game platforms. The website even displays logos for the major gaming companies, which gave me confidence that my items would be considered. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I brought two Xbox systems to trade in: an Xbox One X White Special Edition and an Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive. After arriving, the employee informed me that they were no longer accepting Xbox trade-ins because Xbox products were "not selling well." He also mentioned that I should have called ahead first. This was surprising, as there was no indication of this policy change on their website, which clearly indicate that trade-ins are accepted and it was the main reasons I made the long trip to the store. During the interaction, I also noticed an Xbox One console for sale in the store. When I mentioned this, the employee explained that it was a special edition. I responded that, given the price it was listed at, it might be difficult to sell. Additionally, after briefly inspecting my systems, the employee incorrectly stated that my Xbox One X was a digital edition. I had to point out that it clearly has a disc drive and is in fact the white special edition model. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and unprofessional, especially after explaining that I had driven a long distance specifically because the store advertised trade-ins. If the store has changed its trade-in policies, it would be very helpful to update that information online so customers do not waste their time making unnecessary trips. This was my first experience with Arcana's, and unfortunately it will likely be my last.

HUGE used book store and well worth the drive!…read more Their trade in process was really straightforward - when you walk in there's a trade in counter where they ask you to put your books into bins. I had one large bag that I sorted between two bins, one for books and the other for single issue comics and DVDs/non-books. About 45 minutes later I got a text that my trade-in was ready. I came back to the same counter after browsing the store and they offered me in-store credit or a lower amount in cash. They also returned the items they didn't want and I had the option to take them with me or leave them as a donation. I think it was a fair deal for what I donated, and I opted for the in-store credit. The store has a great mix of used books, dvds, comics, vinyl, and more that's pretty well organized. I will say there's a fair amount of duplicates of certain titles and it was interesting that some were priced higher than others - so check all the labels! In general the prices were reasonable with a few exceptions - I saw a really worn copy of a new hardback that they were selling for the list price ($35!) even though it had been out long enough that other books sellers were discounting it already. But then I also got a box set of dvds for $10 and a bunch of kids books for $0.50-2.00. It was easy to spend that in-store credit!

Mckays…read morehas always had inaccurate pricing, but today they were so bad that I almost thought I was dreaming. Tell me why I saw Star Wars the Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels for $18... Currently this game goes for $3.67 on pricecharting, heck when it game out in 2008 its peak was only a measly $5. Multiple gbc/gba shovelware games all overmarket, by around 10 dollars as well. In general the amount of 3-5 dollar games that they are trying to pass off as 15 - 20 dollar games is dis gracefully disgusting. The point of traveling to these stores are to get the good deals. All of the inventory they have are traded in for or donated so it makes NO sense! It seems that the employees make guesses when it comes to prices, that or they are being told to overprice by upper management. By the gaming section there was a sign that claimed that all of the consoles and equipment is tested beforehand by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" whatever that means. I got an Xbox One Kinect from them back in December, and worked normally. A couple days later I wanted to try using its mic functionality, was not functioning. So it was never fully tested by "gamers with over 30 years of experience" lol. The worst part is that they give you a 3 day warranty... it's not like people have kids, jobs, or other commitments I guess. The media (dvds and blu rays) were also overpriced per usual. Usually only by 5-10 bucks. My main discrepancy today was that I saw multiple dvds and blu rays with dirt and filth smattered on the covers. Your telling me that they have the audacity to up charge, and still refuse to even spend 10 seconds wiping the cover with a lysol wipe? Is it that hard to do? Disgusting! I can't speak on their book pricing as I am not well versed but pretty much everything else is overpriced in this store. It really sucks because these type of stores are supposed to be for lower income families who can't buy new. And instead is being treated like a greedy gaming convention booth. I genuinely feel bad for kids nowadays who want to start growing a small gaming collection post pandemic. With greedy "thrift" stores like this, even the shovel ware games are off-limits.
