The worst. Of the worst. Walked in to class. Checked in. All was well. Went to go pee before class…read more(because I have 3 kids and didn't have time to pee getting them to where they need to go. Also I'm potty training my 2 year old and he had and accident before we got in the car) Anyhow. Still walked into class and checked in with blonde girl within allowable time and all was well.... However because I didn't go SET MY STUFF DOWN FIRST BEFORE PEEING... they told me I was not allowed to attend class. I said I was about to pee my pants and I entered the building and check in within allowable time? What do you mean. She said no exception. I said I wanna cancel my membership. That is ridiculous. She kept trying to agg me on and get me to argue (she was training someone new and I think she wanted to make an example out of me. It just backfired on her because she didn't know I was going to cancel my membership)... anyhow, I had to say two times I don't wanna argue with you... please just give me the form to cancel. Pretty poor business model people told me not to sign up for Orangetheory, but I did anyway. If any of you have a bladder or bowels, this is not the place for you. (The woman who helped me was short and dark hair. Very masculine)

It's a convenient location for me, so I initially started with a trial and then instantly joined! The facility is clean and has every equipment you need; I've never once been without a machine I needed. It's 24hrs which is so convenient and the staff is always cleaning, helping people and so friendly- especially Dawson! My favorite part is the red light which can be hard to find. It feels so good to use before a workout. The price is fantastic and the atmosphere is very cheerful. Everyone is respectful and serious about working out and I really enjoy being here. If you're looking for an affordable gym, try fuel!

I would suppose if a member thought so about a facility they'd leave it instead of staying for over a year? Especially after supposedly contracting a health issue??? Regarding the fingerprint thing he mentions, I've had access to the large towels myself for about two years, and the fingerprint referenced is a special lock that I've never even seen anywhere else, it's absolutely cool that I can get shower towels easily whenever I want to. The water is too hard? Seriously? Doesn't the City provide the water? And the electronic payments, I just switched from Verizon to At&T, had to pay a fee to close the account early...like every business in the world requires? Sounds to me like the guy just didn't want to pay a bill and decided to just haze a small business. The Firehall is a great gym for a small town definitely, it's not perfect at all of course, I wish they carried larger dumbbells, they only go to 100pds. But they have everything large city gyms have. And both owners are very present and seem to know everyone, I've never been there and not been addressed by my name by them, I watch them being very engaged with their members. So other than small things like the dumbbells, I've always been very happy with what they provide, and would recommend that anyone reading an obvious smear attempt in a reveiw look further before making judgement.

The instructors are friendly and really know their stuff. There's a huge variety of classes all day, every day, so I can always find something that fits my schedule. There's lots of one-dimensional boutiques offering classes at set times, and while I suppose you could classify Epic similarly, they stand out for two big reasons. First, they offer the most diversity in types of classes -- everything from crossfit intensity to varying HIIT classes, long rides and yoga. And second, they are about to move into a new huge space with regular gym hours, all the perks of showers/lockers, etc and they'll still be offering the amazing classes they built their base on, in addition to a slew of new ones (kid classes included!). If you have any love for the Les Mills buffet of fitness offerings, Jen and Melissa are fantastic. Plus (and this is maybe less important to some people -- though, not really sure who those people are...) the gym is located in one of the best areas in town, the Cannery District, and that means after a sweat-session you've got your pick of beer, sushi, all things Wild Rye or hey, I guess kombucha if we are sticking with the whole 'health' theme(?), but mostly, the beer and spirits. Which, if I can turn my workout into an impromptu date night, then yeah, I'm sold.
