The classes consist of your classic boxing style training... so warm ups consisting of rounds of skipping, star jumps, ab crunches, etc. then the gloves are on for rounds of different types of bag work plus partnering up with pad work. Guaranteed a good sweat-up by the end of the class! Also offered is crossfit style training, boxing ring, personal one-on-one training and HIT training and weights gym downstairs. I came here once for a women's self defence class with a friend. It wasn't really my thing and I…read morenever went back, but the club would be great for anyone who enjoys boxing/kickboxing/martial arts/defence. My friend absolutely loves going there and they have a lot of regulars. The club provides a lot of classes in a range of martial arts and boxing styles. They have different instructors for each and they are all well qualified. The staff here are very friendly and encouraging but they won't go soft on you if you are just being lazy so be prepared to work hard. They also provide personal training here so you can improve quicker with a one-on-one trainer. This is a really good option for people who want to achieve weight loss. The location of the club is perfect as the Tim Neville Arboretum is just across the road. It is a park and is great for having a warm up run before class starts. Just make sure to leave around 5 mins to cross the road as Dorset road can get quite busy and you don't want to be late for your class.
