    Tuna Tataki Salad $12.50

Meh! That's it, just a Meh.... The Pad Thai was nothing special, and certainly not spicy as requested. The Tuna on the salad was good but bland and I had a TNT roll which was anything but. It was mushy and the rice texture not right. I was there for 90 mins to get these three items. The serving staff running around working hard and I can only surmise that the kitchen is really the problem from the taste to the slow service. I wouldn't avoid this place I just wouldn't go again on purpose.

(3.5 stars if I could) So, we came with our children late getting into town. They have two ways to order...all you can eat as well as eating off the menu. Based on the reviews here, we didn't think our kids could sit for an extended amount of time in the restaurant for the all you can eat option. So we decided to order some things a la carte and if they kids got irritable we would leave. I have to say that this wasn't our first pick but it was one of the few ones open after 8 PM (we are from Alberta where most places are open to at least 10 PM). All in all, it was a pretty decent meal for a reasonable price. Pretty slow service, I would say that. We tried a number of things. ...some were hits and some were misses. Don't bother with the spring rolls (no photo but my kids were so hungry they gobbled them up) and the veggie tempura. For both of these the oil that the items was not hot enough and the result was oily limp items. However, the Agadashi Tofu was excellent...beautifully presented and the fried skin of the tofu complemented the savory sauce and the crisp green onions. The Sushi/Maki platter was beautiful too. I loved looking at it and it was fresh, flavourful and an excellent variety. The Yaki Udon noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice mild flavour. And the gyoza were plump, well cooked and nicely wrapped.

Imitation crab meat looked and tasted like plaster. Fish was obviously frozen. Waiter audibly farted.

A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Service was great! You can't beat the All You Can Eat special they have. Decent size maki rolls too.

I want to preface this review by saying that you cannot compare Sushi 7 or any sushi spot in…read moreThunder Bay to the sushi spots in Toronto -- it's unfair and unrealistic to expect the same level of quality. That said, for Thunder Bay standards, Sushi 7 probably has some of the best sushi in the entire city. I ordered 3 rolls on UberEats: Toronto Roll, Golden Dragon Roll, and Torched Fire Dragon Roll. The torched one was by far the tastiest due to the torching and the sauces on top of the roll. I found that the other two lacked flavour and raw fish but were still decent (and sounded more appealing than the other rolls on the menu). The sushi rice was truthfully a little under-seasoned and a bit hard in texture but that could've also been due to the delivery (drive in the cold). Though I wish they provided standard wasabi instead of the stuff in the packets, I was happy they provided ample pickled ginger upon request. Roll sizes were average - 1.5 was satisfying, but 2 made me feel happily full. The best part: The owners were super kind and included a handwritten note and crème brûlée on the house! The crème brûlée was really yummy (though very small and I don't know if I would pay $10 for it). Regardless, I really appreciated the gesture and I think it's awesome that the owners are doing what they can to make a positive impression on their customers! All in all, if I were to have a sushi craving again, I would return to Sushi 7 to get my sushi fix in town.
