They needed to find a box to ship it in as the chandelier was large. They charged me $100 for the shipping. Is there a happy ending to the story? The enormous box arrived at my office, I opened up the box and the chandelier was broken. Naturally, I took a picture of it, emailed it to the lighting store. No response from them. I called the next day. The owner was snotty, rude and totally uncaring. She told me that she would call me back. Have I gotten a call back since? Going on 5 days later. I sent another email. Clearly, this store only is happy and helpful when making a sale! Don't bother with them. Not worth the aggravation if something goes wrong.

It took forever to arrive (I had to call them to check on the status several times before they finally got back to me). Finally a box that had clearly been opened before (there was even someone elses hair in it) arrived. When I opened the box it was clear that someone else had opened the box and returned the fixture because the fixture itself was chipped and the glass globe part had defective spots in it. I immediately contacted the company about it and told the woman who answered the phone about the 2 issues. She told me that Char handles the internet sales and would get back to me. I explained that it was time sensitive (since we are renovating a house I needed to schedule electrician to install all of the lights on one day and he wanted to arrange a date which I could not do without knowing approximately when replacement would come.) I waited and waited for a return call. Finally I had to start calling them pretty much every single day. Every time I called the same woman would answer the phone and tell me she passed my message along and apologize for the fact that Char never called me back. Finally the woman on the phone one day gave me a number for "Lighting the Web" and told me that Char told me to call them. I tried the number and the voicemail was full so I called for Char again. FInally she actuallly called me back and said she would ship a replacement. 10 days after I actually reached Char I received a replacement glass globe that had a 3 inch by 1/2 inch defective spot in the glass and but no replacement for the chipped fixture. I called the company and of course Char will not return my calls. So, I am warning you if you want any kind of decent customer service or quality AVOID THIS COMPANY--THEY ARE HORRIBLE.
