Going to the laundromat was very affordable compared to the laundromat services of today. Well, you can thank me later...I found this hidden gem located in Baldwin, NY. This laundromat takes me back to my childhood memories of my brother and sister going to the laundromat with our mother to wash clothes. The set up is very dated, but for what you're paying, that's hardly ever something that bothers you. I live several miles away, but don't mind trekking all this way to wash my clothes. You just can't beat it. There's a laundromat across the street from this one. It's bigger, better looking, but way more expensive. I haven't even thought about stepping foot into it, because I don't need to. The name of it is really "WASH N DRY". It's weird though, because I want able to find the business when I was searching on Google. Since finding this one in a million laundromat, I don't need to go anywhere else. The most you'll pay for the large load is $3.50, $2.50 for the medium sized load and...get this $1.25 for the smallest load!! If you ever get the chance to stop by here, you won't be disappointed....unless it's packed. The washers can go very quickly, so you may have to wait a bit depending on the time of day that you go. The early and late afternoon times are usually the busiest. The wait is usually not that long. I'm so happy I found a piece of history tucked away in this world that is forever changing. I may sound like a commercial advertisment when I say this, but it's true...if you're looking to wash on a budget, you can't and won't go wrong with this Wash N Dry.

He said "the driver, Mike" will call to arrange pick up. He called a few minutes later, I told him to knock/ring and I'll get him the bags. I brought two of the three bags out and popped back inside to grab a third. When I came back, the bags were gone. No knock/ring or "hey, can I take these?" Nothing, just gone. Then 2 minutes later I get a text from some other named laundry company, telling me I have to Venmo or Zelle him $48. WHAT???? He hadn't even had time to weigh the bags. I had spoken on the phone to TWO men. They said nothing of any of this. They were changing the terms of the agreement. I called Elio on the store phone line, or so I thought. He then told me he sold the company to Mike the driver, and deal with him. He said that he is just doing the laundry work for Mike, but it's Mike's company now. Then he told me he isn't in the store, or even in the state. I tell him I don't like deal being changed, and I don't have their payment methods, and to just bring the bags back. He told me I will have to PAY THEIR MINIMUM, $25 to get my clothing back!!!!! When I objected, he started mouthing off to me. I hung up and called the local Police, who sent a car over. They took care of it. The infractions were clear: - They took the bags without notice (not even all the bags I had) - They changed the agreement after the fact. - They tried to create an illegal bailment with my property. You can't make this stuff up!

They said to me- (verbatim) "hopefully it's just oil" Absurd?! Does nothing scare them?! What kind of sorcery are they doing here? I don't know, but in 11 years they've never even blinked an eye at the superfluous amount of random drinks and food I've spilled on myself. I ended up moving far away, and I still drive almost an hour just to get my clothes done here because simply put- they are the best. We now have the freedom to buy what we want and actually wear it without the fear of ruining it. Asked one of the employees for assistance and she said there's nothing she can do, to use the free drying machine (which only gives me 15 minutes, that's why I chose to pay for the 40 minutes of drying so I can do my errand). The ladies that were here today were really friendly. I explained to them what YELP was when I saw them giving me the side eye, while I was taking pictures. I assured them I was not up to anything nefarious. Whatever the size of your laundry, there are plenty of washers and dryers available to fit your needs. Big screen tv's to help pass the time and vending machines to get your snack on. They have detergent and softener for sale and also provide drop off service. They have the appropriate signage addressing the pandemic however, enforcement is lax. I saw two people that were not wearing masks. For my bi yearly visits, this place more than suits my needs.

But, as of recent I need my white dress shirts, black dress pants, and vest laundered and pressed. I also love to have my laundry wash dried and folded. This little establishment does everything! They're are a such sweet couple and have fantastic customer service!! They tried to find a button for my jacket, steamed my dress shirt one day for me in 10 minutes bc I don't like any wrinkles when I go to work:) I also have a very busy life and sometimes forget things, they remind me so kindly. They work so hard and take pride in their business, and have fantastic prices. They are clean and get all my food stains (from work like ketchup coffee etc.) out of my clothes. I recommended this place for all laundry drop off and dry cleaning needs. Thank you two so much!! (When I say all stains what I mean is: I try and get stains out at work when it happens, this couple does their best but don't expect a set in stain to come completely out and it look like a new article or clothing people!
