After a recent weight loss, I took three pairs of expensive blue jeans (let's say they were size…read more"x") in to have them fitted properly, and altered. Those doing alterations did a good job, and my designer jeans were now size X-3". Good fit. So impressed, I gathered up all of my work and dress jeans and brought them in to have them altered, explaining that I would be out of town for approximately 3 weeks and would come back in to check the fit before final alterations were made. I guess that someone didn't get the message. Though I'd paid for the first three pairs of jeans, I stopped at Western Laundry and Dry Cleaning on my way out of town and didn't have any room in my suitcase for the jeans: would it be okay if I left them? Yes, there'd be no problem. Just before I returned to Wickenburg, being out of range of cell towers and internet (yes, places like that exist... especially in the mountains of eastern Washington), I came in range of a celltower while stopping for gas on a mountain highway... and I received 3-4 messages telling me that I had to come in and try on the jeans. I repeatedly called that number, reaching no one. I sent text messages, to no avail. I had an email address for the (original) seamstress, but she wasn't responding. I called the main number and left a number of messages about the alteration work. I guess they brought in someone else to do the work, maybe a doddering neighborhood friend, or someone on a drug rehab program needing work... but my original 3-pairs of jeans which had been altered, size X-3", had another 3 inches taken out, the pockets moved (again), then these three pairs of jeans were used as a template, and the other 11 pairs of work and dress jeans were size X-6"... or worse... and the excess material had been trimmed. I'd have to undergo chemo therapy or starve for 10-11 months to ever fit into jeans that were much too small, a size I haven't been since starting 10th grade. I then found out that my emails to the original seamstress, who decide to take a few months off, we're never given to the individual doing the work. The people at the main number that I called simply put my messages on a sticky note (?) and left them somewhere in Alterations where no one noticed them. End result: 14 pairs of jeans -- 4 pair designer jeans, 4 pair of dress jeans, 6 pair of work jeans... all ruined. And somehow, it's my fault. My fault that the person who did the original alterations didn't leave any note that the original three pair of designer jeans HAD already been altered; my fault that I didn't have any way to contact the individual who decided that arbitrarily to make permanent alterations without having the owner come in for a fitting. Damage? $1100 for 3 pair of designer jeans; approximately $830 for 4 pair of dress jeans, and $440 for the 6 pairs of work jeans: on top of all that, I paid $560 for the 14 pair of jeans altered, in addition to the original $120 paid for the first three pairs of designer jeans. Of course, I paid the bill for the additional $560 -- and believed that they wanted me to take them home to try them on. What a shock! I paid $680 for jeans that, with today's skyrocketing prices, would cost a small fortune to replace. What's worse: their attitude. I get it that mistakes are made, but altering clothing usually comes with a fitting to make certain that the clothing fits before the alteration becomes permanent. What's worse? No one is communicating with anyone else. Call call call text text text email email email... all the lights are on, but nobody's home. The final straw: the doddering old fool who decided to do the final alterations without a fitting didn't give a damn about what she'd done. "I don't care... I don't have to." I've had an expensive comforter cleaned by the cleaning side of the business -- and they did a good job... but no one is talking with no one: people come and go; there's no continuity, no communication, and while I'm happy that someone who needed a job to put groceries on the table CLEARLY had no idea that you usually have someone having alterations done on expensive clothing come in to check the fit... rather than just start cutting and sewing. Last two comments: the individual, who I spoke with in Alterations wouldn't take any responsibility for what happened, and it took months to figure out that the original seamstress who knew her job left just after I went on my business trip, and that someone whose talents were limited to measuring clothing and making alterations CLEARLY didn't know that the owner has to try the clothing on to ascertain that they FIT. Frankly, I was told that they would take no responsibility for my losses.

Debbie is an absolute perfect business owner who takes excellent care of the facility and more importantly the customer. When I have time I always use the wash and fold service. Yes it cost more but her lower than average pricing is worth every dollar, I. Time savings. One very unique feature about the wash and fold, is the folding. Since this area swarms in the winter time and most of the clientele are RVers she folds clothes in a unique way that saves space like a Boss. When I don't have time to wait on laundry for a day or so I know that I can walk in grab a couple of machines or the big monster get in and out in an hour or so I'm keep moving forward .
