I have used Washbucklers for a couple years. I think the staff is great and the Manager is super friendly. I usually do my own laundry. Recently used the drop off service. I was very, very pleased with the way my clothes were folded. I am fussy and it made me happy for this premium service. Disgusting all the time, workers are extremely lazy when it comes to greeting customers, behind the counter is also always a mess, the beer from the bar is always 98% foam because of incorrect keg temp, insulation blowing down onto tanning customers that over pay for a month subscription to use said machines, washers have a really bad funk to them and are always dusty. truly one of the worst laundry Mats in Rutland. from poor staff to simply not being up to date or up to code. read more

It was a Saturday and I was doing my laundry at wash bucklers. The big machines were being used. The lady at the desk said those machines were for drop off customers. While she was eating and spitting chips at you. Well everything was fine until I started put my stuff in the dryer and when I came back 40 minutes later. My stuff was taking out and still wet. I asked her why my clothes were in there for the time I paid for. She replied the place was too busy and had to take them out. Well when I got there there were 8 dryers empty and 3 other mad people at the place . Never use that place again. And the washer stink..... read more

I was in Killington, VT for a 3-day cycling stage race, and we got soaked to the bone in the freezing rain. We looked up laundromats and saw that this one was only 20 minutes away. I realize that we could've gone to a closer laundromat, but this one was right in the heart of historic downtown Rutland where there is tons of shopping and restaurants, etc. The laundromat was clean, had plenty of washers/dryers/change machines and laundry detergents. Best of all, it had free WIFI! The owners were super friendly, and there were designated seating areas to sit and do work as well as vending machines with both food and beverages. read more

Been traveling in our RV for 8 months so have been to more laundromats than I ever wished to go to but This place is wonderful! Clean!! Attendants on duty and helpful. Plenty of baskets and table space for folding. Love how clean, open and airy the space is with great ventilation. You can also use cards here and they have change machine. Ok so we like near the laundromat so it's easy to walk or drive there but the cost is expensive!!!!! $7 for a small load and then you have to pay for drying so another $5. And every machine except for 1 has a credit card only payment. There is a nice lobby to wait with a tv And a couch but it's even expensive for us even though my stepdad is a nurse and my mom is a substitute teacher. I have positive things to say about this business: the laundromat was clean, the machines worked, there was a lounge area with couches and tv. I even found a place to charge our phones while we waited. There is also a tanning salon inside, if that is your thing. The hair salon has closed though. There is a small bar that will serve you beer (and possibly liquor?) while you wait. My issues with this place could be resolved, or perhaps a bad day so I'm not going to condemn this business even if I can't rate them highly today. The free wireless internet is obtained with a one hour pass code, but then it was so slow I couldn't even load items on the Home Depot page. It was incredibly frustrating because internet was exactly what I needed at the time. Also, even all the way past the machines near the door, past the business counter, past the bar, and into the couches... it smelled of smoke every time someone had a cigarette somewhere. I couldn't tell if it was coming from a back room or out the open front doors, but my three year old doesn't smoke so it was irritating. If you don't need internet or a smoke smell free environment this is a good place to go. Otherwise steer clear. read more

A great place to do laundry. While you're waiting to get your clothes clean, you can watch television on their big screen and enjoy a beer. In terms of price, it's not expensive but they only take quarters. I know some places use cards loaded with money on them. I've also been to the salon to get my hair cut. This business deserves a zero star rating I went in there and was going to pay over the price of a laundry load for my children to use the arcade and use the vacuum but before we had to use the restroom and they refused to let my three children under the age of 12 to use it because they were not getting a tan or doing laundry even after I said I'll pay for a load of laundry just so my children can use the restroom the lady behind the counter told me I can't do that I'm sorry but any business that refuses to let children use the restroom should be boycotted go to the laundry mat on state street in Rutland Vermont instead they are actually nice and respectful as far as I'm concerned we were paying customers right we were going to pay well over the price of a load of laundry at the arcade alone but after she refused to let my children use the restroom I refused to give my money to any Business that cold hearted boycott washbuckler laundry in Rutland Vermont this business is the worst place in Rutland period read more

Great establishment with great service! It is a laundromat with a tanning salon and best of all.... They even serve alcohol. Its a great place to hang out, while your laundry is washing/drying, you can definitely take advantage of cable tv on their huge flat screen or free wifi. read more

What a great little place to do laundry. While your clothes are running you can grab a draft at the small bar, and chill watching the giant TV. Not too overpriced but not the cheapest place I've seen. Machines were in good working order. They also have tanning and a hair salon inside of this place. This is one of the nicer laundry mats I have ever been to. I like the set up, even if it is a bit unusual. Beer and tanning while doing laundry? But it seems to work. I love, love, love the huge washers. Makes it so much faster to do the laundry for my family, anyone with teen girls can understand the amount of laundry that needs to be done. The parking lot is a little dark at night, makes it seem sketchy but its not. I gave it four stars because the parking lot is so dark at night and they keep the bathroom locked. Twice I had to wait for the attendant to reappear so I could be buzzed in. And by wait I mean like 10-15 minutes, yelling "hello" with no reply. read more

Terrible customer service experience. Tanning staff person was awful to deal with. Decided to look elsewhere.

Worst customer service ever. Arrived at 8:30, held door for customer with cart full of laundry so by the time I walked in door it was 8:32. Rude employee says, you can't wash your laundry it's past 8:30pm!! I said it's 8:32 and I don't dry my clothes only wash which takes 26 minutes, I'm never here past 9:15, 45 minutes before you close. Rude employee continues to refuse to allow me to do my 2 loads of laundry. Been coming here for over 20 years. Place has gone downhill past few months. Worst customer service ever!!! Way over priced and they over charge your card $25 per load until it clears, then you get reimbursed, sometimes taking 3 days. Found Insects in 2 washers, last week when I was there. Night time employee has her children running around at night. Will never go here again!!! Much cleaner and cheaper laundry mat, 2 minutes up the street. Had to give review a 1, which they don't even deserve that. read more

Washbucklers is a great place to tan! The staff is always very friendly and the rooms are clean. The big screen TV is a plus as well.

The single session tanning prices are WAY to high compared to competitors. They try to steer you toward a package or unlimited weekly or monthly packages by limiting the time you are allow to tan per session and charging way to much for a single session. RIP-OFF!!!! They never change the bulbs in the beds/booths, some don't even work, and when they do change them they only change every other one. The different PACKAGES are convoluted and difficult to understand even if the equipment was satisfactory. I miss the mediocre experience they used to offer prior to this new system of points and packages. A year ago I would have given them three stars. read more
