Blush was completely honest and up front that I was booking with someone less experienced. Front desk greeted me with eye contact and a smile. Nail technician did an amazing job correcting previous ugly and chunky builder manicure. I never shared that I was unhappy with previous manicure so was completely impressed that she checked in with me -multiple- times to make sure I was happy with shape, color and texture of her manicure. I really appreciate her attention to detail and focus on customer satisfaction! extremely professional vibe! Chefs kiss! I definitely will return again and ask for same technician! We showed her a picture of a haircut with the highlight that I wanted, and she pulled it off PERFECTLY. When I got home I looked in the mirror and my hair was... AWESOME! The highlights were perfect streaks, the cut was exactly like the picture we showed her. When you walk in you usually see organized shampoos, combs, and a big mirror. I just want everyone to know you really should go here to get your hair done. She is always so nice to everyone. Would not trim my cuticles as I requested. Lisa said she does not recommend it. I pick a light pale color and after two coats, I wanted a third coat of polish. She said, I did not need a third coat. If a customer requested a third coat for what I was paying I should have gotten 6 coats with no questions!!! At this point. I was furious !! I tried not to show it. When it was time for a pedicure I refused it. She tried to convince me. After my husband got a Mani and pedicure, He was not happy with it either. Remember she says she does not recommend cutting cuticles, but I saw her trim feet cuticles. Well, I was raised to be nice and respectful and I was. I will never go there again. I highly don't recommend this nail salon.

On Thursday (today), I walked down here with my friend Ricardo as we both had appointments on this warm but rainy day. Renee was right by the door and she was my stylist. She was super sweet and did my haircut just as I wanted her to, after glancing at the photo of my ideal haircut on my phone. She did a good job trimming but I really appreciate that she made more small alterations on my cut as we continued along (cut down some cowlicks and trimmed a little more) and all the while, we had a lovely conversation about Vermont. Afterwards, she shampooed my hair (part of the package!) and then styled my hair, using specific products (that I had never seen before) to add texture to my hair. I got to meet Val the owner who is also an absolute sweetheart. She and Renee exemplify my general perception of Vermont's hospitality and welcomed me into their shop. Funny aside: I was initially drawn by another person's set of Yelp reviews mentioning that the owner here is gossipy. I am sad to report that the only gossip I heard was about that aforementioned review when I brought it up to them. Despite the lack of hot gossip, Val is great, Renee is great. They let me take neat pictures of my sweet new hairdo using their fancy equipment. I was a little worried about the price (as I usually am about anywhere), but Hair Network's prices are totally reasonable, at $25 for a men's cut and shampoo (I would have to pay $20 for a Middlebury College student to cut my hair but these students never shampooed me tsk tsk). I was a little apprehensive about getting my hair cut in town because of the horror stories I heard over the years about the different hair places, but my experience today only makes me want to return and get my hair done here again.
